This is why I love buying from independents/small businesses. I ordered some confectionary Christmas presents for my mum, they arrived in a lovely box with a printed thank you note, so much nicer than buying mass produced products from the chains & supermarkets.

Ordered a whisky hamper for my brothers birthday on Friday. I had left it rather late and as my brothers birthday was on the Sunday I did not expect the gift to get there until the Mon or Tues.
Ti my surprise he received it the next day in time for his birthday.
The hamper was lovely and even though some of the whisky bottles were different to what was advertised (and I knew this could happen as they did disclose this as a possibility if items out of stock they wud replace with similar) he was v pleased.
Thank you Geraldos. You made shopping for my brother very easy and a stress free experience . V impressed.

Discovered Geraldo’s through my partner’s love of the Scottish confectionery of Duncan’s of Edinburgh, bars of whose chocolate he enjoyed from the British military 24 hour and composite ration packs. Sadly Duncan’s lost the ration contract resulting in their closure; a loss was that was very much mourned by the troops.

I adore Parisian Cremes so we were delighted to see that Geraldo’s sold these made to the Duncan’s recipe. We ordered a box and I have to say these are the best I have ever tasted for the quality of the chocolate and the variety of fillings. Now I look forward to a box every Christmas, Valentines, and birthday.

Geraldo’s Christmas handmade chocolates have become an annual treat for us and our families, and we have often bought their other chocolates for ourselves and also as gifts, and they are always extremely well received and commented on.

Today (Monday) I received my Christmas order which I made late on Saturday afternoon. This didn’t surprised me though as this is the level of service I always receive from Geraldo’s. Even on the occasion I made a mistake on a postcode Geraldo’s staff spotted it and corrected it before dispatch.

Thanks to the staff and owners of Geraldo’s for their fantastic chocolates and exceptional service.

Have been a customer of this place for many years buying expensive chocolates, premium gins etc, so deeply disappointed when I stopped by on Sunday for some ice creams (3 scoops for £6.15).
Our little puppy was gasping for a drink and the elderly server wanted to charge us 20p for a small paper tub to allow us to give the puppy a drink.
She attempted to justify her greed by saying that “the price of everything is going up”.
I reneged her offer and used my own ice cream tub to get some water for the puppy.
On a day like that, when Largs was buzzing and the cash registers were almost in meltdown, you’d think some consideration would be given to those suffering in the heat.
Not in Geraldo’s though. Cash is king, and I won’t be putting any more pennies in their greedy piggy bank.
I hate giving bad reviews, but in this case I have been moved to share my feelings with other patrons.

My experiences of Geraldo's as a buyer on their website and over the phone for the last two years or so has been absolutely excellent. A week ago, I telephoned to enquire about a rare bottle of malt whisky and was told it wasn't in stock at that point but if it did appear they would call me. Sure enough, I received a call today from Alison ( as promised) and my bottle will be with me tomorrow. Made my day! Cheers.

I was struggling to find a product I really wanted to get my elderly father in law for Christmas and was delighted to find that Geraldo’s had it in stock.

On placing the order, I was advised that there may be a delay in receiving my order, due to being so close to Christmas and the volume of orders which were being processed. However, my order arrived four days after placing it, in plenty of time before Christmas.

I am always a little nervous when ordering alcohol in glass bottles online, in case of damage in transit. I need not have worried as the bottle was the best protected glass packaging I’ve ever seen and the bottle was in perfect condition when unpacked.

I’ll definitely be placing more orders with Geraldo’s in future.
