Very Accurate, but not perfect.

I use it for hebrew captions and it's very accurate (more than Youtube). I also like the option to change the number of words and lines in a second (Although you might have to edit it manually again a bit).

However, there are some things I don't like:

1.The minutes are always rounded up
2.Video Quality with captions is very poor after download. So it's basically better to download the SRT file and use it with Youtube or the video editor.

Subly is also expensive compared to ex.Turboscribe.

Lost ALL of our subtitle edits

Lost ALL of our subtitle edits. I would not recommend Subly. The program says that it saves your work in the cloud but in fact, it lost ALL of our subtitle edits which took HOURS and tons of money to do. We service schools for the Deaf so this is a huge loss. We cannot trust this service. We also found a bug when adding new subtitles that also erased all of our work. The features seem good at first but it is extra time consuming to edit because when dragging a subtitle to a new location you have to do each one individually. If they bump up against each other they don't drag together. You have to do one at a time. After spending tons of money and time we still have no subtitles for our educational videos and it's an absolute nightmare.

How the 5 stars app gets only 1 star

So,let's start. The idea and the web interface is 5 stars. But there is no mobile app,so -1 led to 4 stars. There are a good few missing features and seems the feature request are rarely been implemented,so -1 led to 3 stars.
There are a good few false information about why to purchase the monthly/annual license. Like it lies you have unlimited subscription but you get only 100 which is a joke,or premium support. So another -1 led to 2 stars.
And the biggest problem there is no support. No in app chat,no answers to mail,no nothing. If i pay for something the least i expect is an answer within 24-48 hrs. If you "promise" ""priority support"" then the expected response time is within 8 hrs. So,another -1 led to the well deserved 1 star.

Needs Work

You'll have to comb through every second of your video because it doesn't translate accurately, even when speaker's audio is clear.

This is ok for short length videos. However, with videos over 20 minutes in length, it is extremely time consuming.

Here are some of the things you'll be fixing:

• It splits acronyms into separate lines with a period at the end (e.g. USA becomes line 1: U., line 2: S., line 3: A.)
• It will capitalize letters that don't need it and not capitalize letters that do need it
• Punctuations are missing even when the next sentence begins with a capitalized letter of the word
• It will occasionally freeze when downloading, and you'll need to redownload

I'm updating my review: There seems to be no UNDO button. If you make a mistake, you're screwed.

OK product but extremely unreasonable …

OK product but extremely confusing pricing subscriptions. This led to being charged an extra month despite me not using the service in many months. I expected customer service to empathise and understand my situation however instead I was belittled and agent just kept arguing with me that their policy is perfectly clear and it’s my fault so I’m not eligible for a refund.

During your time with Subly you successfully completed a free 14 day trial of the service before signing up to a paid subscription. I can see that your initial annual subscription was refunded in full as a gesture of goodwill and then you moved onto a rolling monthly subscription. Our rolling subscriptions, like many other services, such as Netflix, roll until cancelled.

We understand that it can be frustrating when you forget to cancel a subscription, but we offer a flexible service to meet the needs of our customers. With our rolling plans you can easily manage your subscription in your account and upgrade and downgrade as often as you like, depending on your needs.

Subly does exactly what is says on the tin

Subly does exactly what is says on the tin. It saves an enormous amount of time, and is incredibly easy to use.
Shoutout to their support team who are also really responsive and pleasant to deal with. I also really appreciate being able to upgrade and downgrade plans based on my volume required.

Definitely Recommend Subly - Love this product
