First time buyers

As new home buyers me and my partner received central heating through The Greener Home Project and the service couldn’t have been better. Our consultant, Dominic, was extremely helpful and always made time to give regular updates and to check how we were getting on with our new system. Excellent customer service and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend to other first time buyers.

(Amin Birmingham Team) Cannot praise…

(Amin Birmingham Team) Cannot praise them enough . Amin and his team worked tirelessly , flat out for two days to install a new boiler and a brand new central heating system in our home. On the morning of the second day , I had some concerns related to accessibility as a disabled person and they immediately made changes to make sure it didn’t restrict door opening or mobility aid furniture and were extremely understanding and gracious about it despite this causing them an extra work load . They somehow worked around any aspect of our home ( like two full lofts and under the floorboards ). They talked to my Dad through each step to help him understand what was being done and why . When they finished we were amazed by how nicely they left everything , especially given the level of work they had to do . For example we had originally thought that they may need to take up most of our laminate flooring but they somehow managed to only take up a very smalll amount. They also had to drive many hours each way on top of their busy schedule and never one complained . Amin also kindly reassured me that if I had any questions or issues in the future that I could always contact him. So far so good . I cannot recommend Amin and his team highly enough .

I must also mention Joe ,Chris and the Electrician from Liverpool. Joe knew we had a terrible experience with a previous company and remained in contact for almost a year and handled the change over to GHP seamlessly . He dealt with any questions or issues and gave continuous reassurance . We were very nervous after having such an awful previous experience with a different company and so dealing with Joe and Chris was like a breath of fresh air . Chris was wonderful and was extremely
cognisant of me being disabled and went extra lengths to minimise risk and disruption when work was being carried out . I really appreciated how he acted quickly, always responded and took our particular circumstances into consideration throughout . It was like night and day from the experience with the previous company . I highly recommend Amins team, Chris and Joe from GHP for their professionalism, customer service and overall handling of the work carried out . The electrician from Liverpool also worked hard and efficiently . He had a very nice demeanour and was very approachable when asked any questions or if I needed more help to have things explained or adapted further to suit my individual needs .
Overall, our experience with GHP so far has been a joy and we will be forever grateful for their hard-work and understanding . I am sure that if we needed any further assistance from them , they would assist professionally and with great care as before .i would say that In particular , If you are disabled or elderly or have a loved one in this position , this is the company for you .

The light at the end of the tunnel

When I wrote my last review I think only the insulating team had been in and within four days had insulated plaster-boarded and plastered all my outside walls. Steve Butterworth then came in to inspect the work and see if everything was okay
Finding I was more than happy he arranged for the plumbers to come in to put in all the pipes, radiators and the rest of the air source heat recovery apparatus.
Again Steve either called in person or phoned me to check on the work.
Four days later the plumbers were leaving after filling my house with kilometres of pipework and eight radiators, and just as they finished Chris arrived to put in the solar panels.
In just one day he had put in all the switchgear, the wiring to the solar panels, the fixing struts and the nine solar panels.
Again Steve called and ended up taking a van load of rubbish way to level out the waste collection bag which was becoming mountainous and which they would not take.
A few days later Steve arranged for Garry the scaffolder to remove the scaffolding and for the Hippo Bag people to remove the waste bag and I once more had the front of my house back.
Problems, we've had a few, mainly dust, a couple of uncrimped water couplings out of hundreds and basically lots of cleaning and painting and sorting out what we can no longer keep as radiators take up wall space previously occupied by furniture and the loss of a lot of garage space that will have to be modinised and reshaped now the air-source recovery system has moved in. Oh, and the fact that my phone can no longer receive a signal due to the insulation unless I stand up the window or move to the kitchen and the tv aerial in the loft has had to be replaced on the chimney as the solar panels had reduced the signal strength.
Oh, and the most important one, the unit has broken down and no longer feeds the radiators, although the fan outside continues to harvest heat out of the air and feed it into water storage unit which is pressurised so we still get hot water in the taps.
I thought I had sent a message to Steve Butterworth asking for help but apparently my phone thought differently and I'll have to send it again when I am through here. By the way I made my first informational film the other day for Adrian's company and the chap who started all this off when I answered the door to his cold call. So now thirty people have visited my house in one capacity or another and a nicer bunch of lads you could wish to meet.
I suppose I'll be back up dating you on my mechanical breakdown and film career. Funny old world.

Amin and his team have been amazing from start to finish. They were all so polite, professional and hard working.

Amin even went above and beyond by arranging to visit us in person a few days prior to installation to introduce himself, explain the processes involved and answer any questions we had.
This helped to put our minds at rest and felt really prepared for installation day.

Thankyou Amin and his team for making our bolier upgrade experience so memorable (for all the right reasons) we are really grateful.
I would highly recommend Amin and his team to anyone.

Came very early. Did as they said. Upgrade our heating system in a full day. Worked non stop until completely satisfied. They even fitted a radiator for us. Would highly recommend these lads and company.

I had insulating paneled walls and Loft…

I had insulating paneled walls and Loft insulation, and gas radiator central heating installed March, April 2023. On a government grant. By October when heating was on I started getting condensation and damp on soft furnishing and carpets and clothes. GHP installed passive vents that did not solve the problem. Specialist came to inspect and said the house was sweating and couldn’t breath. Then I asked GHP to remove the wall panels which they did and left the house in terrible mess, men came to sort mess but not properly. Still had damp in the house and GHP did nothing more to help me. They knew my husband had COPD, lung disease and still they did nothing more to help the situation. I pleaded for help. In the end I had to pay another company to help and they installed a PIV ventilation system. It worked to certain extent but still had some slight problems. Because my husband had lung disease he kept getting lung infections because of the damp. Sadly he died in May 2024 with bad breathing problems. I will never forgive these GHP cowboys for what they put us through. They just thought I was a constant old woman moaning all the time. Well I’m more than moaning now,

Hi Linda, firstly please let us extend our deepest and sincere condolences in what must be a very hard time in your life, and we are very sorry for your loss. As you have alluded to, we have been in contact with yourself multiple times since the installation of insulation and heating system to your property which was fitted in March 2023. As mentioned by yourself, some concerns were first initially raised in October 2023 about damp. Within 48 hours of these concerns being raised, we sent out a ventilation team, which confirmed adequate ventilation throughout the property to all standards. Within that same week, we also booked in inspection with our senior site manager to conduct a full inspection and report, which showed no signs of noticeable signs of damp within your property. Concerns were still raised by yourself about damp within the property, and as such, Greener Home Projects instructed an independent third-party specialist to conduct a full inspection of the property and issue a report. This inspection and subsequent report didn’t show any signs of damp within the property, with the only explanation for your concerns being if the house was sweating, and therefore to alleviate the risk of this potentially happening we instructed a ventilation team to fit extra ventilation within your property – which you did report this had improved the situation. Within several weeks, you again raised concerns of damp within the property, and with us running out possible explanations, we instructed the installation systems designer/manufacturer to visit the property and conduct yet another inspection and report, which confirmed that the insulation system was installed correctly with more than adequate ventilation throughout the property. After following all the protocols and procedures, as you still had concerns, we agreed to remove the insulation system from your property and put your property back to the condition before any insulation works were carried out, and we additionally sent in a decorator to ensure the decoration and condition of your property was to your standards. By January 2024, the full system was removed, and decoration was to your standards. Since January up until yesterday, we had no further correspondence to indicate you were unhappy with the condition of your property. With this in mind, we feel it is unjustifiable and unfair referring to us as cowboys, as we have gone above and beyond on several occasions to ensure we have always acted upon your concerns - as we were aware you were a vulnerable customer from the outset and throughout.
