Woeful delivery and order management…

Woeful delivery and order management and then appalling customer services. It’s a completely waste of an hour in my life, yes it was that long to resolve the issue. They are plenty others with great service out there.

Webjet gift card - is it a scam?

Ordered a $1000 webjet giftcard for bonus 10% promo. That was a week ago, still waiting for my gift card. The closest i've got so far is an email form Giftz with a PICTURE of a webjet giftcard. Complete apathy and/or incompetence from a series of customer service engagements.
Honestly so bad, its starting to smell like a scam.
Will never use this service and suggest you dont either

giftz.com.au - avoid

giftz.com.au

I had a terribly disappointing experience with Giftz recently (October 2025), and subsequently I would not recommend them to anyone and suggest you find other alternatives to avoid disappoint. Giftz were simply unable to deliver what I had paid for and could not, would not or did not explain why during the entire frustrating experience.

My experience began with an order of two Webjet gift cards in a single transaction. I was taking advantage of a recent "deal" they were advertising which promised a loading of 10% additional value. The actual purchase for my order was relatively straight forward, though I was unable to login to my account for some unknown reason (system error) so I just checked out as a guest, no major problem. The order confirmation screen showed the correct payment amounts, the correct loading of the 10% additional value, the transaction was processed successfully, so far so good.

I was hoping for a prompt delivery of my gift cards as I was trying to book a flight via Webjet that had limited seating remaining. Things were looking positive when at 21:47 I received a PayPal confirmation, and just a few minutes later at 21:51 I receive an email from Giftz with subject "Your Webjet eGift Card order". I'm thinking "this is great, what a service", sadly, how wrong you can be!

Confusion reigns when I discover my email contains just one of the gift cards I ordered, the lesser value (just over $200 worth), one is missing (larger value $1100). Weird, I think. Maybe it'll come shortly in a second email. Waiting, waiting, waiting, nothing arrives, so I go to bed. Fingers crossed it'll be there when I wake up, praying my flights are still available.

Morning dawns and nothing from Giftz. Still actually haven't received email confirmation of my order, not even an order number, just one of the two gift cards. It's just after 9am and I contact their customer service via online chat. Works ok, finally get to a human after having to enter my name and email address several times, why so many times???

Veronica (customer service agent) wants my order number to follow up, I say "you didn't give me an order number". Veronica finds my order without it anyway, and after a few moments comes back with one of the gift cards "has not been confirmed, probably it could be for the amount". Probably? Really, that same amount that you charged me for that was a perfectly valid transaction amount? PayPal didn't have a problem with the amount, nor did my bank. Veronica senses my frustration and says she'll "escalate" my query and someone from her team will contact me but "allow 3 to 5 business days for a resolution"!!! So that's escalation at Giftz I wonder what Business As Usual is? 2 weeks maybe, who knows? Veronica now senses my mounting frustration and says "I truly apologize for the inconvenience. I will document this, and if possible, have my support team send you a confirmation as soon as possible". I let Veronica know I'm truly disappointed with the experience thus far and once again she apologises and sends me an email with my case number and indicates it's a "Work In Progress".

Fast forward to 5pm later that day. Silence from Giftz. Nothing. That's escalation at Giftz. So I respond to their "Work In Progress" email asking for an update on my escalated/urgent case. 7pm rolls by and still nothing from Giftz. Then at 7.10pm, proof of life at Giftz! No, not the apologetic email we were all hoping for, BUT a refund email from PayPal for my $1000 gift card, i.e. a partial refund. Still nothing from Giftz directly, someone decided it was all too hard and just pulled the refund lever. So at least I'm not $1000 out of pocket, just $100 for the missed value add they promised.

7.33pm an email (actually from Giftz) lands in my inbox. No, not the apologetic email we were all hoping for, BUT an order confirmation email that says my order is now complete and goes on to tell me the details of my order, i.e. the full order for both gift cards, as though they'd been competent enough to actually fulfil the basic business they purport to offer. No mention of the fact that they cancelled one of the gift cards (without asking me if that was what I wanted) and no mention of the refund! Just an email making out like the order was a breeze, completely successful, nothing to see here, kind of situation. What a joke.

TLDR; Don't use Giftz for anything important, better still don't use them at all. They are incompetent.
