My friend Lorraine and I visted the stables yesterday to enquire about lessons etc. Gillian was so friendly and helpful and allowed us to walk around with Annabelle to see and pet her horses. You could see it was very well run with well cared for horses. We will definitely be back.

I've ridden since I was a kid and came back to riding after some years out last year. Having tried several riding schools in my life, I can confidently say this is the best one I've been to.

It's a friendly family run yard that takes good care of its customers and its horses. I've learned more in my year here than all the years I'd ridden previously added together.

Andree, my current instructor, has done something I thought impossible and made horse riding even more fun: currently she's got us riding drills and dressage moves to music and throwing rhemed parties. Bailey, David and the other instructors are also great.

There are horses to suit every rider and they are lively, engaged and energetic horses who offer a decent challenge: not just bored school ponies that trot to the back of the ride.

I can't recommend this riding school enough.

Our daughter has weekly horse riding lessons at Gillian’s Riding School and absolutely loves her time there! The instructors are very patient, kind, encouraging, nurturing and fun, as well as highly skilled, very knowledgeable and professional - big appreciation to Kieran, Becca and Ellie! Teaching there is above an excellent standard. Our daughter has improved at every lesson, not only consolidating her skills, but building on her self confidence too! The customer service and care from the whole team is excellent, personable and warm - with particular appreciation and gratitude to the lovely Kirsty and Jackie for their impeccable help and support! The staff are very knowledgeable and able to advise as needed. It’s very well organised and run. There is a great variety on offer from one-to-one and group lessons, to Pony Club (which we plan to try) and great hacking routes. There are birthday party packages too! The horses are friendly and so well cared for and looked after and the stables and location are beautiful. They also have Shetland ponies, cats, a female goat and peafowl! It has become one of our special, happy places and is one of the best decisions we made for our daughter. We highly recommend Gillian’s Riding School!
