I was sent the wrong item and I have the hardest time getting a refund for the item that is over $1500. It has been over a month and the only help they offer is stating their return policy. Gilt continues to state they have not received the Gucci bag but it was in the same return box that they did give me store credit for. How mysterious. This company is a fraud.

This company is a joke.... you can not even view items for sale, unless you create an account with them---Username and PW! Absurd....everything is greyed out unless you create an account and sign in. I am 'unsubscribing' and hope no more emails are received from this company. Good riddance!

I have never done a review, however, I hope this helps others. Ordered what I thought was a necklace for my daughter because one of the news shows was doing a bit on what to buy for Mother's Day.
Not only did it not arrive in time but the chain was so short it would not even go around my wrist (I'm not a large person). This was enough for me to realize this company is not legit. Lesson learned!

I've placed a £172 order in May, but only receiving confirmation email from Borderfree and no orders are shown placed in both my Gilt account and Borderfree account. I wrote an email to confirm if the order has been placed successfully but I haven't received any response.
I phoned Gilt and I was told I will be contacted by the international team in a day by email. I haven't receive any response in the following 4 days even the email is read.
Now I‘m trying to phone Gilt again but no one answers my call.
I need a clear response and the CANCELLATION of my order with the REFUND!!!!

The Merchandise is always good. Easy to return for credit. They take 10 bucks out for refund. Not an issue. The thing I HATE is that it takes weeks sometimes 3 or more to receive orders. I ordered 3 pairs of underwear 3 weeks ago. So do not order anything for an event because it won't come in time. Give it 6 weeks lead time. I order a lot but I have to keep a list so that I remember how long ago I ordered. It is annoying. A lot of the things I can find on Bluefly or Amazon and they ship wayyyy faster. I reached out to customer service and they said that's just the way it is. Keeps me from buying more. So stupid. Figure it out Gilt!

I placed an international order on Gilt to Canada on May 14 and received an email from Borderfree confirming it but
the link to tracking the order sends an error message and the email on Gilt’s site for international customers is returned as UNDELIVERABLE!This is UNACCEPTABLE.Gilt offers Borderfree service but washes its hands of the order once it is placed.The site contact info is for US customers only and as previously mentioned the email on their site for international customers is non existent.
Refused return on damaged jeans
I purchased a very expensive pair of jeans. Wore them 3 times. A tear 5 inches long split right along the seam where the pocket was sewn on. They would not take them back or send me a new pair. Literally blown off. They told me they would get back to me in 24 hours. It has been over a week. They told me they have a policy to not take returns on worn clothes even if flawed.

I received earrings in a simple plastic box that their gold turned black. As I’m allergic to metals other than Gold, I found this out with an ear infection from the earrings yet Gilt stated that they cannot do anything … don’t buy
Poor Customer Service.
Gilt ships items the cheapest way possible. I have received two orders from them containing breakable glassware. Both orders were completely shattered into pieces. Another order was delivered to the wrong address by FedEx which is another unreliable company. I was told to wait an entire week before anything could be done. I don’t recommend this site at all.
Won’t Correct Their Mistake
I shop a ton on Gilt and RueLaLa, but after an experience of ZERO customer service today, I will think twice. Ordered 3 bikini bottoms and matching tops (sold separately) for a trip 5 days away. One bikini came with the wrong top. Called to see if Gilt would rectify their error and send me correct top with free expedited shipping since their error. I was offered nothing more than a shipping label to return the incorrect item. No effort whatsoever to help me resolve in a timely manner. I even called twice and got same non solution

The site has been down a lot recently. This is my principal complaint. Took time to read what others are saying, and prompted to give my feedback. Been a customer for over 5 years. Bought a lot of good quality items over the years spending well into 4-figures over the span. Sign up for annual flat-fee shipping. Great return policy, and have used it! Did I mention products purchased are high-quality. In my experience, GILT is only short of excellent because the damn site is often down, when I have time to shop!!

Very unhelpful, basically useless customer service. I signed up for the texts for, as advertised, $10 site credit. Went over 2 days and I never saw it credited to my account. Called customer service twice and they were no help and had an attitude.. oh well their loss, cheap tactics like false advertisement only results in loss of business. I’m glad I never placed the order though.. after reading these reviews..
