I actually discovered Glenndarcy by accident.

I had initially bought belly bands from Amazon, completely unaware that Glenndarcy existed. I was using Tena Lady pads inside them and, while it worked, it was costing me a small fortune constantly buying disposable liners. At one point I genuinely thought I was personally keeping Amazon and Tena Lady in business.

Then my daughter bought one of the Glenndarcy belly bands for my tiniest boy as a Christmas gift. That’s what made me look the company up properly. Once I found their website and saw the washable waterproof popper pads designed to fit inside the bands, I ordered some to try, along with a few more belly bands.

The difference was immediately noticeable. The quality is on another level. The fabric is softer, the fit is better and the design is clearly thought through with dogs’ comfort in mind. Now that I’ve experienced the Glenndarcy bands, the Amazon ones feel poor by comparison. I actually felt guilty putting my dogs back in them while I was waiting for more Glenndarcy belly bands to arrive.

The washable waterproof pads are slim, secure and genuinely absorbent without being bulky. They sit properly inside the bands and don’t shift, keeping my dogs dry and fresh. I change the pads regularly throughout the day to keep my dogs clean and comfortable and to minimise the risk of any skin irritation or urine burn. Now that I no longer need to keep buying disposable liners, I can change them as often as needed without worrying about the cost. It’s a significant saving long term and far more environmentally friendly.

Customer service has been just as impressive. When I contacted them about stock levels, Colin replied promptly and kindly, even on a Friday evening. It’s refreshing to deal with a company that clearly cares about both their products and the dogs using them. After reading more about how the business started, you can see the values and integrity at the heart of everything they do.

Whilst looking through their website, I saw they have a sister site mctogsfordogs where they sell absolutely stunning waterproof coats, polar fleece dog jumpers and drying coats in gorgeous designs. You can genuinely see the love that has been poured into all their products.
I'm really glad my daughter found them.

I use these bands for my male and female dogs - both very furry German Spitz....and previously for my old whippet. They are happy wearing them and they work well. I use the reusable pads too which I like. They wash well and are well made...effective for scent marking and for more serious pees. Although my old girl can occasionally flood her pad it still manages to keep her, and whatever she is lying on, clean. The colours and styles are good and ordering/delivery was very prompt and good

Decent coat in Nevis print, size 00. Poppers are fiddly but garment is great for my puppy in Winter with good fitting especially over rear end - good design
I’m very disappointed that these are made in China.

I placed an order for 2 x dog nappies and 4 washable pads. Only 1 nappy + 2 pads were delivered! I told Glen Darcy straight away, and have basically been made out that I'm a liar. I've had to contact my bank to get the money back for what I haven't received as why should I be out of pocket?! So I'm very unhappy and disappointed with Glen Darcy.

This particular item was very fiddly to put on, with poppers and a hole for the tail, the bands with Velcro are much easier, no longer use this I am afraid.
