Dymo Connect has got to be the worst…

Dymo Connect has got to be the worst software I've ever used. I don't know what they were thinking with this garbage but the V-8 software absolutely smacks, and this Connect junk is the worst. I can't say anything good about it and I'm actually angry that the old one stopped working in my Mac. Dymo must hate their customers.

Letratag 200b a total disastor -- dont by

I got an Letratag 200b device danm i wish i got a brother
All safety has to be turned off to run the Bluetooth
In this inviremental frindly world Dymo makes a device, running on Alkaline batteries only, meaning that the batteries will only work for a short while 1,5V -> 1,2V

And no app for PC or Mac only cell phone

Avoid Dymo at all costs

Avoid Dymo at all costs! Got the 550 model. Terrible networking (both wireless and wired) and doesn’t even detect its own genuine labels as genuine. Even if you are willing to pay the extra cost. Countless hours spent stuffing around trying to get it to redetect the labels THAT IT CAME WITH. Any other label printer would be a better decision. Countless hours, labels, and money wasted on this thing. POS

DYMO OMEGA embosser broken in no time at all

I bought a DYMO OMEGA embosser. It broke in no time at all. I decided that, rather than send it back, I would use the opportunity to investigate the inner workings of the device. I was utterly appalled by the bad design and bad quality that I saw inside. The ratched lever tha pulls a small ratchet cog to advance the tape had simply sheared at one point. This part of the device is extremely flimsy, and is almost guaranteed to break soon after use. I even wonder whether it's an "intended weak point". I'm a hobby mechanic, and I have to say that even I could have designed and constructed a better machine. How dare DYMO sell such a product. At 12 Euro it's not going to break anyone's bank, and to be honest, I bet that many people don't even bother to send it back. I have read numerous reports of similar failures to mine, so there must be many people who've bought this machine and fallen victim to its poor quality. This might represent a business model of DYMO, i.e. make something cheap and rubbish, reckoning that most people won't return it when it breaks. Still, in the long run this ruins one's image. I will never buy another product from DYMO. What a pity: as a child back in the 1980s I had a DYMO embosser. It was a very small device, worked perfectly, and until it was lost in a house move, it still worked, more than 10 years after having been bought. Quality at DYMO certainly hasn't improved in the meantime...

Stopped working pretty quickly…

My label maker worked great for a while, then it stopped making marks on the label feeder. I pulled the whole machine apart using YouTube tutorials and cleaned everything, very carefully put it back together and still won’t make labels correctly. Infuriating when it is relatively still new as it hasn’t been used much.

What a piece of junk

Purchased the Label maker 160 via Amazon. As soon as I switched it on it displayed Labeljam. Tried all the troubleshooting procedures but to no avail I phoned customer service in London who wanted me to jump through a load of hoops to claim warranty thank heaven for Amazon who just gave me my money back

I have recently bought a new PC and it…

I have recently bought a new PC and it came with Windows 11, when I moved my Dymo software over it updated to Dymo Connect which is very poor and hard to use, its lost all the features from my old software.
They have also added RFID tags to the new printers so you have to use their labels!
I'm looking for a new printer but it won't be DYMO

Amazing customer service

Because people are ten times more likely to go through the effort of posting a negative review than a positive one: my experience with Dymo was an incredibly pleasant one.

I was told to by an independent retailer selling Dymo products that they couldn’t help me and that I had to contact Dymo customer service instead. I did, mainly because I didn’t really have any other options. Dymo didn’t have to help me but they were incredibly helpful and understanding. Communication was clear. My problem was solved quickly and efficiently.

Buy the product, but don't use the website

Purchased a RHINO 5200 a few years ago and went to their site to get a user manual.
A horrible experience. Dropdowns don't work. Downloads don't work. Can't get any support because the forms won't send with empty fields. The fields where the dropdowns fail.
But thank you DYMO for helping me make my further purchase choices.

Avoid. Do not buy this machine

We have used Dymo label printers in our business for years. The latest version will only print on very expensive Dymo branded labels. Steer clear at all costs as no returns are accepted. This should be shown on your resellers sales literature.

WASTE OF LABELS BY DESIGN

FOR THE PRICE, LABELWRITER 450 TURBO IS A VERY VERY WASTEFUL DEVICE. EVERY 2ND OR 3RD PRINT, I LOSE 2 TO 3 LABELS FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON. IT JUST SPITS OUT BLANK LABELS AND WRINKLES THEM SO THAT THE LABELS CAN'T BE FED BACK INTO THE PRINTER WITHOUT FURTHER ISSUES. BAD DESIGN MOST LIKELY INTENTIONALLY. THE MORE LABELS THAT THE 450 TURBO CAN WASTE, THE MORE LABELS IT CAN FORCE YOU TO BUY. OVER & OVER AGAIN. JOB SECURITY. I AM PRETTY SURE THAT THIS PRINTER IS PROGRAMMED TO COMPLETELY STOP WORKING BY THE EXPIRE DATE CREATED BY THE DYMO TEAM. UNFORTUNATELY, THIS WAS OUR 1ST DYMO PRINTER AND IT WILL ALSO BE OUT LAST. IT HAS BECOME EXPENSIVE TO OWN. IT IS NOT AN ASSET, IT'S AN EXPENSE.

I’ve had the dymo labelwriter 450 turbo…

I’ve had the dymo labelwriter 450 turbo for a few years now, and it’s been awesome. it still runs like it’s brand new, even after i’ve printed thousands of labels with it. i use it for everything like organizing files, labeling storage boxes, shipping stuff…… you name it. it’s super fast and prints really clear labels every time. i’ve never had issues with jams or glitches, and the software is pretty easy to figure out too. i don’t know how i got by before i had this thing. if you’re looking for a reliable label printer that lasts, this is the one to get.

Bought the 5XL

Bought the 5XL, as the 4XL isn't sold anymore. That was fine!
It's crap. In the sense:
it works OK, the print is clear, connecting via cable never malfunctions.
BUT
The "new" chips that are installed, with the chip reader, works terrible for us users (read: "we are making sure you buy our original stickers and we installed a chip for that"; but we are being told "the chip is used to see how many stickers you have left!!!").
Combine that with extremely expensive proprietary dymo stickers, and malfunctioning when other "dymo ready" stickers are used.... ends up with a terrible user experience.
Dymo:
go back to the old design, enhance customer experience, and leave the "ony use mine!!!" strategy. You are not apple. And nobody likes it. If you raise the price of the dymo printer a bit, and lower the price of your own stickers, you might be coming closer.

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

I described the problem with my previous printer and they were so helpfull and fixed the issue. Sad that the old printers don't work with the newer software due to driver incompatibility but the new ones are as good as and better as the old printers.

Old tape rolls still stick after 25 years in the package which I did not expect, I can even use them in newer models which is great because I do not have to throw them away.
