a fine company

i took the car in warsaw airport and every thing went smoothly they upgrade me to automatic car with out extra payment and when i brought the car back they came in 2 minutes and inspected my car and it was perfect

NEVER AGAIN

Booked and prepaid car 6 month ago.
Arrived in Lisbon airport on july 18th. Was ready at globalcars counter at the time stated in rental agrement.
Got the ticked at 16.26.
At 20.35 it was our turn.
A WAITING TIME OF 4 HOURS AND 9 MINUTES!!!!!!!!!!!
Totally unacceptable.
Waited with 2 children, both hungry and tired. Not even a place to sit down.
Never ever again will we, or anyone we know, rent through globalcar.

Worst Car service I have ever experienced

I will never rent again through global car or avis/budget for that matter. A week before leaving for the trip I email to ask about what fees I would have to pay when picking up the car. They replied saying the only fee was a >200$ fee I was expecting. When arriving I was asked to pay more than 1000$ in fees!!! They said it was in the contract. I will look more closely into these things next time but for replying to an email with a completely different number and ALSO FOR ADVERTISING AS A NO HIDDEN FEES COMPANY they sure pulled the wool over my eyes.

I sincerely feel for you about what have happened. Unfortunately this extra “fee” you are referring to, is not an actually fee, it is the security deposit that is a mandatory sum who will be blocked on your credit card during the rental period and is returned to you upon returning of the car.
This sum is also stated in your rental conditions.

Good service but beware the 'return empty policy.'

The service from pick up at the airport was good as was the service at the desk. I have no complaints at all really bar 2 x points.
1. Beware the 'return the car empty policy' - most folk are extremely unlikely to drive 500+ Km in a week! For example, I returned the car 1/2 full, so in effect paid for 40Euro of fuel I did not use.
2. The extra insurance cover: Most people buy a Mondial type policy prior to departure, as I did. If you do not use Dickman's own, they still take a 300 Euro deposit!!

Good value for the money

We got a good car for the money and had no trouble except for that Budget did not have an office at Barcelona airport so we were supposed to go to Avis. It would have helped to have that information on the voucher.
