Absolutely fantastic. Glow green have been amazing from first contact. Prices are very competitive. After my agreed quote a newer panel was offered with better output for free just to keep my tech up to date with their services.
I must have had about a million questions back and forth regarding solar and Neil shimmon was my contact who always delivered a resolution or answer. Brilliant communication.
They did all the paperwork, i just had a few online signatures.
The scoffing crew were fast and efficient.
The rooffers ware neat and tidy and very careful.
The sparky Harry was amazing. Even stayed on till late after 7pm to complete the job on the day. Then he took all the rubbish and cleaned up after himself.

Their after care has been even better.
1000% would recommend glow green because this solar transition has been made quite easy simple.

The process was so straightforward and we are over the moon with our installation. The sales person was not pushy and went through many options, explaining each in detail. We were kept well informed to the point of installation and the installers were polite, efficient and really helpful. Would highly recommend.

I was very grateful for the advice and support I received from my contact at Glow Green Nick Fox. He provided a lot of guidance and information regarding various alternative solutions. This was extremely helpful in making a decision regarding how to proceed and at no time was I under any sales pressure which was much appreciated.

I was very impressed in general with the performance of Glow Green. The whole installation process was well planned and went like clockwork. The scaffolding and installation teams were very efficient, worked well together and I am pleased with the quality of the workmanship. There was the slight problem of the originally planned installation date being slightly delayed because of battery delivery and I was very surprised to be offered £50 compensation for this without asking. I was also very grateful for the Glow Green team handling the necessary application to the network operator to export energy to the grid.

Initial calls were great as was the fitting which I couldn’t fault. Neat, tidy and a pleasure to have on site. There were some frustrating problems with lack of communication after paying the deposit which lasted several days but the CEO responded to and email to him within 15 mins and things were put back on track the same day. Only thing I’d suggest and this is probably the same for many companies is a follow up in terms of integration and exporting etc. Would use Glowgreen again.

Our ground mounted installation was completed within a day despite continuous rain. We had carried out prior enablement works to provide cable trenches between the house / PV array / battery / inverter. Led by an experienced and committed electrical engineer, the team worked hard, well into the evening due a lengthy software update on the battery/inverter pack caused by local slow internet in our rural location. Once completed everything immediately functioned to specification. Amazing to see almost no power consumed from the national grid since start up.

Mike and the team installed our solar and battery system without any issues, they ran through the install, how we would like it all placed (batteries), and also ran through how everything is configured. Additionally, Mike wired in a separate cable for Home Assistant logging, which was greatly appreciated. Very happy with the service!

I was looking forward to the installation of my solar panels. All seemed to be going well until I was at the stage of delivery of the products and installation.

I was not made aware that Glow Green use sub-contractors for the scaffolding and installation. I received an email late on Friday prior to the scheduled date of delivery of the goods which included notification that the scaffolding contractors would erect the scaffolding on Monday, 11/5/26. There was no communication from Glow Green other than the email therefore it was obvious that the logistics team had not liaised with the sales team as I had clearly advised that I would have nowhere to store 19 solar panels, a 16kw battery and inverter. I rang Glow Green on Monday morning to advise that my instructions had not been followed and what was I to do regarding the delivery. I was advised to reject it and the goods would be delivered on the day of installation (Thursday 14/5/26).
The scaffolders did not turn up so I had to chase Green Glow again. After hours on the telephone I was advised that they would erect the scaffolding on Tuesday 12/5. They arrived at 3.30 pm and erected scaffolding to the front of the house but not the rear and said they would return the next day with more equipment. What a surprise, they did not turn up. This resulted in further long discussions with Glow Green and the sub contractor installation team who cancelled the installation as the scaffolding was not in place in accordance with their terms and conditions of contract with Glow Green.
Glow Green subsequently advised that the scaffolding would be in place early on the 14/5 to facilitate the installation and that the goods would be delivered mid morning.
The scaffolders arrived at 08.30 and did not complete the work until 12.30 which resulted in four electrical technicians sitting around unable to proceed. To add insult to injury the scaffolding company had not erected the scaffolding in accordance with health and safety regulations which presented a significant risk to the team to the installation team.
Further equipment had to be brought on Friday, 15/5. Interestingly, the sub contractor had advised Glow Green that the scaffolding was completed on Tuesday 12/5 and that all health and safety equipment had been installed.
Glow Green took my final payment on Friday 15/5 but the job is not finished. The bird netting is not completed as there was insufficient scaffolding to reach the side elevations so one week later and after numerous telephone calls, emails and complaints to Glow Green I am no further on and I cannot access the Duracell App as the log in details are incorrect.
There is a distinct lack of communication and responsibility at Glow Green. Despite a formal complaint being submitted no lessons are being learned and customer service is appalling with everyone I have spoken to stating that they will resolve the issues but don’t which results in further frustration and follow up calls.

After obtaining 5 quotes and undertaking research I decided to go with Glow Green as they offered a good package and were reasonably priced. They were also not pushy on the sales call where as I had some not so great experiences with two visits by salesman. All went well and communication was fine to start with. They did a remote survey, which in hindsight, I would not recommend as they base measurements on satellite images and therefore do not maximise roof space. The timeline thereafter was as follows:
- 23rd Feb contract signed and notified of initial install date of 30th March.
- 23rd March notified DNO application not come through yet so install date delayed (fair enough).
-25th March notified DNO accepted and new install date of 10th April for the scaffolding and 15th April for the engineer.
-Scaffolding installed as per date - professional and accommodating (subcontracted to Midlands Scaffolding i think).
-on day of installation (15th April) call from Engineer saying they couldn't make it. Could they come 2 days later - agreed to it although lost a days leave.
-17th April - roofers turned up at 10.30am from Blackburn (2.5hrs away). Cracked on a did a decent job. Engineers (subcontractors) arrived about midday. Again from Blackburn. Did a couple of hours and then asked to come back on the following Monday (after wkend). Again day of leave lost.
-20th April - installation completed. Engineers were decent to be fair to them. Reasonably tidy job to good workmanship.
- I had a couple of calls from Glow Green to ask if i was happy with the install.
- I left it about a week and then rang Glow Green to see when I would get the MCS certificate so I could start exporting and when they would collect. They then told me there was a minor snag that needed fixing which I wasnt aware of and so scaffolding needed to stay up. They informed me the engineer would be in touch.
- I left it another week before raising a ticket on their website.
- Received an email notification on 11th May that scaffolding would be taken down on 18th May.
- Took another day of leave however scaffolders were a no show.
So here we are, scaffolding still up, no MCS cert so cant export. No idea when this will be resolved. Its been nearly 3 months since the contract was signed. Not really good enough when I'm spending thousands of pounds with this company and i've lost holiday as a result.
I have given them an extra star as the kit supplied (Duracell) was good and the system is working well so far (i just wish I could earn money on the export!). I think they have potential to be a good company but need to stop using subcontractors.
Update -
Glowgreen contacted me after this review and arranged scaffolding to be collected.
Had a call from Head of Customer Operations on 22/05 who was very apologetic and as a gesture of good will offered a partial refund. He confirmed they are committed to customer service and take on board the poor communication that has happened on this occasion. This was well received and I have given another star on this basis.

Friendly staff, left the house clean, job looks tidy and was done when I was told it would.
