I have been reading reviews below and can 100% confirm that after providing you with the meter reading you still estimate bills. Even after your customer service telling me on the phone it would not happen again, it did again and again and again.
I have all the emails to prove it.
Anyone who wants to leave them can without paying €50 exit fee can.
As over estimating bills is not providing a service and is actually in breach of contract.
Glowpower is full of 🤡🤡🤡🤡
Just to answer your stupid info below
Here your proof you ACTUALLY estimate over and over
Hi Ger, well, put simply, initially in July we sent you an estimate, and you gave us a reading in July after you received the estimate, (DATE OF READING: 09/07
READING 24HR: 82285) this was passed to the billing team. Our system did not bill you on the reading you gave us, but instead, our system automatically sent you another estimate. It should not have done this. When you complained about this, our service team forwarded your complaint to the billing team and at that time, the billing team then produced the new bill for you based on your own reading.
I understood billing on estimates. Can you not read? The info above clearly shows you admitting you still send estimates even though the correct reading was provided, FACT
I’ll leave the FACTS here for people to avoid your circus and the clowns 🤡 working within it. FACT
The only reason ur was resolved was because I left, FACT

Awful company.
Awful company.
Tried to bill me estimate after estimate.
I left and they agreed not to charge me €50 leaving fee.
Provided last meter reading, then a another estimate bill with an exit fee.
I complained and gave the reading again, yet again after that another estimate bill.
AVOID 👎👎😡😡😉

Awful company to deal with. Sent e-mail as price was different when i was signing up and was moving even before my first bill. Did not proceed with signup and charged me 50e early exit fee and billed me with an estimated bill to get more money off me. Awful customer service from lincoln fernando!
Shame on you!!!!
I’m not hiding behind any name.
It was my partner’s account.
I’m sure I’m not the only person who’s had this issue with your company.

Good Experience Thus Far without the Green Nonsense
Have been with GP for well over a year now. There were some teething issues at the start with a higher than expected bill - but response by email was always prompt and that was resolved quickly. Bills are very competitive. I always submit my meter reading on the final day of the month and if I had in the meantime been issued an estimated one - a revised one always arrives within a few days.
I have read other reviewers here complaining about their bills, which are estimated, to which I say - what do you expect if you are not submitting accurate meter readings? Do it every month and this issue magically disappears!
Another reviewer complained about GP not being 'renewable' enough. Well - in the REAL WORLD less than 3% of electricity is renewable, not to mention subsidised so go figure. These subsidies are why all our bills are going up by the way.
Anyway - all in all I have no complaints of any substance to make and remain with GP for now until of course that fantasy 'renewable' power gives us all free energy until the end of time. Over and out!

Worst Utility Provider ever
Where to start with these guys, one of the worst websites I have ever seen should have enough of a warning but I went ahead anyway, Outrageous bills straight from the word go, the first bill came for over €400 in the first month, I ran amok in a support ticket and it was revoked and lowered immediately, super shady!
I then received monthly bills almost twice what I was paying, in the middle of the year my old metre almost burnt out and I had to have an emergency replacement, the guys took off with it before I could get a reading, I then received a bill for 900 and almost 500 the following month, it has resulted in a power bill of approx. €3000 for less than a year with them, I live alone in a small house but because of the metre switch, I cannot verify the readings.
They then agreed to a payment plan for the larger bills, when I moved away from them, they refused to honour the payment plan. the first part payment had gone through already, their advisor told me to cancel the direct debit and then settle the bill. Today I received an email threatening Debt collection because the DD had been cancelled ( At their instruction).
Avoid at all costs, complete rip-off and utter incompetence abound in both their incomprehensible billing practices, website and support.

They are a new company obviously trying to bring in their own new billing system. Another complication is the need to change customers from the old meters to the new ones.
Unlike many large companies they are responsive to complaints.I have had to call them twice- each time
My call was answered promptly and that person competently sorted the issue. A couple of times I submitted actual readings to replace estimated values, each time a revised corrected bill was issued promptly. I have been a customer for over a year now and I have found their staff competent and attentive. They don’t seek to numb your brain with repetitive adds and music on hold. In short they really do deserve 5 stars for service and price. U Rice

I was considering a switch to GP as their prices came out competitive (not the best) on a comparison website. Having looked at the latest reviews and the 5* ones I see that 2 of 3 5* reviews are people thanking reviewers for their feedback.
As I hate overcharging I will find another provider or stay where I am.
A BIG thank you all.

Avoid - billing borders on criminal overestimation
I have been with this company just 3 months. Each month I’ve had to complain that the ‘estimate’ was a minimum of 50% more than my actual consumption. Frustrating, time wasting and downright dishonest.
The website is rudimentary. Looks like something from the late 90s or early 2000s.
And what I didn’t realise was that all this poor quality is compounded by having one of the least eco-friendly power generation mixes. I suppose I should have guessed from the name - glow power - i.e. we sell energy from stuff that’s burned (coal, oil etc.)
I would actively encourage you to look elsewhere for electricity.

Simply TERRIBLE
Possibly, no actually the worst customer service and billing experience I have ever encountered. Over the last year plus, i did not receive one accurate bill and constantly had to contact the company because their estimates were way over the top. Avoid this company at all costs or you will be contacting them constantly. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Now I have to contact them again as my last direct debit was some 300 euro over estimated. Avoid avoid avoid.

Joined a few months ago and got frustrated my first bill as it came monthly and trying to navigate the website was head wrecking.
But in general it has worked out well as my bills monthly are very reasonable and the website has improved immensely.
Avoid this company or you will regret it
This company is the whorse I ever experience. They supposed to give you a professional service in return of your bill (except the electricity what is provided by ESB).

1 year fixed term contract
Signed up to a 1 year fixed term contract.
Have had two price increases and only 10 months in. The contract specifically states "Your rates as outlined in your agreement will be applied from the date that Glowpower is registered as your supplier and will continue for a period of one (1) calendar year from that date (“Term”).”
Whenever I complained, they state I signed up to a fixed "term" contract and not a fixed "rate" contract and within their general t&c they have the right to increase prices unless your on a fixed "price" contract.
Best bit is they notified me that they “do not and we have never offered fixed price contracts."
This may be only your second ever price increase...but you've only been operating for 1.5 years.
It could've been easily sorted as it's there in black and white.
Better off paying a bit extra for a reliable and honest supplier.

Customer for 1 year
Customer for 1 year, I joined in Feb 2020 and left in Jan 2021.
I am due a rebate of 59euro, that they agreed to pay.
They are trying to charge me 50euro cancellation fee. I am trying to explain that if I stayed with the company until Feb 2021 that would be 1 year + 1 month..
Trustpilot really need to have a minus stars functionality

HI Michael,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We noticed since you are left with a credit on the Glowpower account or €59.25. Please confirm the IBAN in order to refund the credit amount.
May we use the IBAN on file IEXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.
Awaiting your response to process the refund at the earliest since it takes 7-to business days depending on your bank.
Below is a reply from GlowPower,, they are laying the facts out for me 😂
UPDATE 11th March 2021
Hi Michael,
This refund approval is based on the expiry of your account and final bill let me shed some light on when you joined and let me layout the facts for you .
We received your application to switch on 20-02-2020 and you decided to move on and successfully have moved out on 17-01-2021 to another supplier while you were still in contract. It is puzzling for us to comprehend how this will be considered one year since you are still well within the contract. Hence a final bill will be issued with the early exit fee which we cannot avoid.
UPDATE: I have already told your company by email to keep the 50euro. I am just happy that I do not have to deal with your amateur organisation anymore
P.S. switcher.ie states it is a 12 month contract (not 365 days) I was in contract for 12 months.
Last update to GlowPower
Let me layout the facts for you, 365 days or 12 months I don’t care.. I am just so happy not to have to deal with GlowPower anymore (like the 76% of people who have left a bad/negative review on Trustpilot about GlowPower) Happy days for me 🎉 🎉 🎉

Thanks Folks for your reviews,
Thanks Folks for your reviews,
I was just about to contact Glowpower to avail of their servives but on reading your reviews I've decided not to do that. It's great that we have such a service as we all know how frustrating it can be to talk to these companies once you sign a contract. I'm just writing this as a heads up to all service suppliers that the power lies with the people and especially through these reviews.
Thank you Mike.

I could not wait to leave
I could not wait to leave , they drive me mad. Bils vere ok at the beggining then huge spike. Customer service ok all very nice but those monthly bills and giving meter reading every month and still bills huge even that we do not use so much and try to save as much as possible. For 2 months bill 330 euro for one bedroom apartmnet which is warm and we do not heat so much, more heat at night then a day. Crazy. Will not recommend.

Very happy.
I'm surprised by the poor reviews here and the intemperate language. I've been with the company for over 14 months and have had no issues, eventually got around to sending in my meter reading, customer services were excellent and my bill was out by only 68 euros! Very happy, good folks to deal with.
