I dislocated my knee and (later found out that I) ruptured my patella tendon playing football. It was going to be several hours before an ambulance would arrive. Fortunately GLS Medical were attending an Equestrian event nearby and came to my rescue. They tried to put my knee back without luck (not knowing it had been ruptured), but gave me gas and air and morphine to manage the pain. Lucie and Gavin were so kind, caring and reassuring. They stayed with me and made me comfortable until the NHS ambulance arrived some hours later. I was so grateful and lucky that they were on hand and cared for me so well.

I fell while walking in The Downs, breaking and dislocating my ankle. Miles from anywhere, I would have had to wait hours for an air ambulance. My friends remembered seeing a GLS ambulance at the top of the hill with a race and went to get help. They came back with two nurses, a stretcher and some gas and air. Lucie and Kat were amazing and helped carry me back up the hill to their ambulance. I'm so grateful, they were kind, lifted my spirits, gave me pain relief, bandaged my foot, and helped my friends. Lovely people who knew what to do in an emergency and went above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks so much!
