I have been a customer of First American Home Warranty for over 10 years and have carried coverage on multiple homes. This is year I had the worse experience ever with First American Home Warranty with poor quality contractor referrals, giving incorrect diagnosis, requiring me to find someone to get the job done, only have First American then refuse to pay out on the repair. I will not be renewing with First American next year. Quality and respect for customers has gone way downhill.

we got a 1 year warranty from the seller when we purchased our home. it has covered NOTHING so far. roof leak, nope....AC maintenance, NOPE....now today toilet leaking oh that will be $95. do not waste your money

The problem isn't with First American Home Warranty, and had it not been for Chris, on your staff, I might have cancelled completely.
The problem that I had for my first time, was with your service provider. I know it is the wave of the future, having AI on every phone, to pay less money to people. However, I had to repeat my problem 4X to the AI, that asked the same question over and over. I even provided pictures, and AI said they never heard of the product, even though I sent the model# and serial#. It's a test of patience.
I also discovered that the service staff scheduled to repair/fix my washing machine over a week out. I found that interesting. I could have called Angie's List and got someone faster.
However, Mr. "Chris" came to my rescue, did probably one of the best jobs from any service/sales that I have seen in a long time. He was patient, helpful and was able to get the schedule changed to tomorrow. Now that is impressive and that made me believe further in the services of First American Home. So thank you to Chris! I am happy a happy camper now!

I had a very frustrating experience with First American Home Warranty regarding an air conditioning claim.
This claim went on for over a month, including several weeks in escalation, with little to no communication. I repeatedly followed up and even had to request direct contact with the assigned representative, but my calls and messages were largely ignored.
The technician report identified multiple components, including a condenser fan motor capacitor, yet the company only offered a minimal cash-out that did not reflect the actual repair needed. Despite providing documentation multiple times through the portal and email, the issue was never properly addressed.
Due to the delays and lack of resolution, I was forced to pay over $1,100 out of pocket to complete the repair myself.
Overall, the process was time-consuming, poorly communicated, and did not align with the coverage outlined in my contract. I would strongly recommend others carefully review their options before relying on this company for time-sensitive repairs.

Refused to allow the same contractor who had just diagnosed the problem within the past two hours, do the repair. Assigned a completely new contractor and charged the $100 again for a contractor who knew nothing about my issue. Poor customer service. I cancelled the policy.

I just went with you because the one I had lied to me. The second time that I needed service my refrigerator was not working and I called them Friday early evening and they said somebody would be there on Wednesday. I lost about 200 dollars of food. I shopped on Saturday and got on delivered on Sunday at 9 in the morning. They also had a lot of complaints about them to the BBB. That is why I went with you in March.

It was fast and easy to file a claim. Then talk to someone to get all the questions answered. Then was able to get my payment fast so I could make the repairs I needed.
