Bad experience using Proctoru!
Bad. Highly disappointed student. Finished 2 maths tests with them and my institution did not even receive the tests I had completed 2 days ago. You will regret using them. They do not refund you even if their servers and Gaurdian Browser stop working mid testing. The only good point was the proctor I had on my 2 tests, wonderful individual. The waiting time is horrendous. Do not use this company. @Proctoru Please improve if you want people to keep coming back and using you, my review will be a positive one if you refund me the fee you owe me or at least provide me with another fair chance. Your technical issues and refunding are horrendous AND JUST A MESS. Take it seriously. Listen to your clients, after all theres no one better to listen to to improve your service than the person making use of your business. These are people's lives you are playing with!

ProctorU is the worst online proctoring…
ProctorU is the worst online proctoring system I have ever encountered, it is an absolute nightmare from start to finish, the system is completely invasive and unreliable, forcing students to give remote access to their computers and webcams while treating them like criminals, the proctors are either overly strict or completely clueless, making the exam process even more stressful than it already is, they take forever to start the test, make students wait endlessly, and sometimes flag innocent behavior as cheating for no reason, the software itself is a disaster, constantly freezing, disconnecting, or crashing in the middle of an exam, and when that happens, the student is the one who suffers, not their broken system, customer support is completely useless, they take forever to respond and offer no real solutions, if their system falsely accuses you of cheating, good luck, because they will not help you, you will be left fighting to prove your innocence while they refuse to take responsibility for their failures, this system is beyond stressful, it turns a simple exam into a horrifying experience, students have reported extreme anxiety and panic attacks because of how oppressive and unfair it is, universities and institutions should be ashamed for using such a flawed and privacy-invading system, ProctorU should be avoided at all costs, it is nothing but a disaster, unreliable, untrustworthy, and completely unnecessary.

It’s really as bad as the reviews claim. Constant technical issues across multiple devices, long waiting times, and little resolution for time lost during exams.

The damn page wouldn’t load and I kept seeing the same error message over and over. Tried customer support through the icon and was beyond a joke. Wouldn’t work and when I thought I reached a breakthrough to connect to a human, I would get cut off. Tried calling the number and got cut off twice. What sort of company is this? Total sham. To think I booked a remote exam because I thought it would ease my nerves and anxiety and they just made it a whole lot worse. Extremely stressful experience.

If I could give it a 1 star I would. I was all prepared on time for my exam, I waited 20 min as they were "finding a proctor for me," then I called the company and had me transferred to 3 different people: I ended up doing my exam one hour later than scheduled and my proctor was so rude and passive aggressive when I did not know where to go, as this was my first time and last time using this. She disconnected right away after my test was over and did not let me ask any question. Horrible experience, never use this.

The most disgusting, unacceptable service I’ve ever used in my life hands down. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I spent hours and hours trying to find a “sufficient” computer that would get around my apparent “internet issues” just for me to not even be able to access my exam. The IT people are also clueless and have no idea what they’re doing. The best advice I can give you is to save your time and not attempt to use Proctor U, for your own sake.

Due to the fact that ProctorU had a high volume of test takers, my test stopped after fifty-five minutes. I waited for someone to respond to me for at least thirty minutes; no one ever responded to me. I called and waited to speak to someone which also took a while. Once I was able to finish the test the representative assured me that I would have time to finish the final exam; I did not have time to complete the test before the deadline. I spent three in a half hour trying to complete a test and got bounced around for hours. In return, I failed my test. I requested a refund; it was denied.
Pure scammers
Pure scammers. My testing instructions state speakers are required and these buffoons said I'm not allowed to have speakers. Not to mention getting into the test is essentially impossible and takes hours. Any firm that uses ProctorU or Meazure should be ashamed of themselves.
Nobody speaks English
Nobody speaks English. They are too invasive. Their internet is unstable and will blame you for bad connection. They will make you do security checks that go for 20 minutes in length and are very invasive and redundant and they have no explanation for anything.
AWFUL
Proctor U causes me to get so stressed out every time I use it that I get completely distracted from my exam. The first time I used it I waited for over an hour for a proctor, and when I contacted someone about this they said my proctor was there the whole time and just didn't start my test. Some of the proctors, like David, are super kind and it's not their fault that ProctorU sucks ass, but some of them barely know how to operate a computer and I feel like I'm babysitting them! Just today during a FINAL EXAM for a class my proctor, I forget her name but it started with a V, said "I lost your video feed" and nothing else and then closed my exam with no warning and disconnected! I got connected to tech support and the guy said there was nothing wrong on my end, but then he went to my google chrome and started downloading stuff without asking me? Then, due to an issue that was not my fault, I had to go back through and redo all of the prechecks and wait for another proctor for 30 minutes! ProctorU is ridiculous and feels like a money grab to get you to pay for an on-demand appointment.
Support Took Control of my Computer and Closed my Exam!!!
Went through 6 different support people only to get a support person who took over control of my computer to "fix" an issue, only to have them start my exam without my permission, ticking down the time of my exam while they tried to fix an issue on their end that caused my taskbar to not lock to the bottom of the screen. What this genius support agent does next is control my mouse to the top right of the screen and CLICKED X ON MY EXAM.... Closing my exam before i could even answer any question, completely exiting both my exam AND the support box, leaving it so i couldnt even reconnect with my proctor and ending my exam and forcing me to reschedule with my school and add layers and layers of stress for their mistake. Hands down the worst online experience I have ever had. DO NOT USE THIS!!

If I could put negative stars I would. I’ve been trying to take my NCCA PT Exam and each time I’ve had to reschedule it because of the incompetence of proctorU and their intstructors/proctors. Every time I go to take my exam there is suddenly something “wrong” with my pretty much brand new computer. I use starlink WiFi and I can’t tell you how many times they wouldn’t allow me into my exam because of an “internet issue” which I never have. It’s funny how things load really quickly and then suddenly when you’re trying to get into the exam all of a sudden my internet sucks..hmmm that doesn’t sound right. Plus they don’t really seem to care at all.

This platform's sheer incompetency made me waste 2 hours for nothing. I've been transferred to 10 different proctors and tech agents, all trying to get control of my computer or download something in it or both. My computer crashed more than once because of this, and each time I'd have to repeat the process again. It was torture. The last proctor would take forever to answer, stretching my patience even thinner. Their instructions made no sense (my phone sitting sideways as an external camera cannot capture both my entire head and my keyboard because the distance between them is bigger than the camera's scope). Horrible and absolutely unacceptable experience. Hope they get their shit together.

2024 update I waited an 1 hr and 30 minutes to take my exam. I need to apply soon and won't have time to reschedule. after a proctor finally came they didn't even have the correct access code to get in for me to actually take the test.
