Overall I can really rate Econic if you are looking for a heat pump install. I had been talking to Octopus for quite some time however my install was more complicated than they could do, so I looked elsewhere.

After speaking to a few different providers I settled on Econic and am glad I did. As other reviews say all members of the team are great to deal with, and the price came out very competitively.

The install was done in a few days with minimal disruption, and no mess at the end of each day. The heat pump is currently running very efficiently for hot water, and I have no doubt it will do the same for heating come winter.

From first meeting they were willing and able to answer all questions and helpful throughout the process. System installed without any major issues and is working well. Will certainly continue our relationship in terms of servicing and support.

Christoph and the team at Econic were knowledge, always quick to respond and provided a comprehensive and efficient service. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

What a brilliant process from start to finish.

Clear information provided at every step, support and guidance available whenever you want, with checkins and follow ups to ensure things are progressing as planned. They go above and beyond to give a good solution and the gave me some great ideas about how to install the heatpump with as little disruption/mess as possible (whilst improving its efficiency - none of the other people quoting did this).

Installation now finished and signed off, and performing well. I cant see why you would ever pick another company.

I’ve recently had a Vaillant air source heat pump installed by Econic Energy in a mid-terrace Edwardian house which is located in an Article 4 conservation area. As I was building an extension, I decided to take the opportunity to replace my existing 18-year-old gas boiler with a sustainable energy alternative (in line with government policy). My experience with Econic has been superb from start to finish. I can highly recommend this company if you are considering the move to a heat pump. The company’s delivery and management of the project was exemplary. From initial feasibility dialogue with Christoph the CEO, to the meetings with Pradeep the Ops Manager, discussions with Andrew the Lead Energy Consultant and last but not least, my communication with Coco, the project manager – all my questions and concerns were comprehensively dealt with. My confidence in the company grew with each interaction and was amply rewarded by the actual installation and end result. The installation teams worked diligently, professionally and cleared up after themselves each day. Their work has been of absolute top quality. The heat pump is nicely positioned in my garden and seems really quiet. The pipework around the hot water cylinder was a work of art! Econic provided detailed but not overly technical documentation including a builder’s brief. This enabled me to make the necessary decisions around emitter types and size and the builder to properly prepare the site. The Econic people were always on schedule and were very responsive to any of my questions. They managed the complete grant submission process, meaning I was only billed for the net amount. What could have been a very stressful element of my build project turned out to be a remarkably smooth process. Econic clearly has a customer focused approach at the heart of their business – personal service by highly qualified and experienced professionals. But it is still possible to speak directly to the CEO and founder of the company who will give you the necessary time to discuss any questions – rare in today’s world!
I cannot recommend Econic highly enough.

The team is very knowledgeable and the communication was clear throughout the process.

My installation was complex and required lifting the heat pump on the roof but the team handled it with ease, they also installed components to reduce heat pump vibrations on the roof and I didn't even know the heat pump was working.

The space to install the water tank was very compact but they managed to make it work.

They cleaned everyday and on the final day they left everything in a better condition than they found it.

I would highly recommend econic energy.

Our experience of Econic Energy has been very positive.
We paid for a survey of what would be needed to achieve our objectives in CH temperature and hot water requirements for a 1930s detached house. In constructive discussions (such as sizing radiators and their position and size and dimensions of hot water tank in a small existing airing cupboard) we considered relative merits for alternative arrangements based round a heat pump.
The work was carried out efficiently within the proposed timescale with the minimum of disruption for us.
We were given an informative introduction to controlling the system by a member of the team on completion.
Our experience is that Econic Energy are a professional organisation who are committed to supplying the customer with a system which meets their requirements and are monitoring the system to ensure the system is working as designed.

Econic has been a pleasure to deal with. We were keen to get a heat pump, but were worried about whether it would heat our 1920s terrace house sufficiently, as well as how to combine it with new underfloor heating to best effect. There are a lot of opinions out there but much of it is wrong, including those of our builders. Econic’s knowledge and advice was invaluable in giving us the confidence to proceed. Although they weren’t handling the underfloor heating, they confirmed my ideas were correct and discussed how best to set it up. They were professional throughout and a pleasure to deal with - of all the companies involved in our renovation, they were the best. The integration with other building work was straightforward: the pipes to the outdoor unit were laid before the screed, which took just a couple of hours, and then the unit itself was installed later once the house was watertight. We felt that the cost was excellent value for the quality of the system and confidence we had in them. Though more complex to setup than a gas boiler, the system is straightforward to operate and, after the initial tailoring, doesn’t require constant tweaking. We anticipate a significant saving in heating costs over gas. Finally, it was welcome to encounter a company whose focus is on long-term sustainability and improving the world rather than pure profit.

They were good; good installation, good client care, friendly

Christoph and his team were exceptionally good throughout. We had quite a complicated install which involved Solar PV and Solar Thermal integration as well as an upcoming kitchen project that would dramatically alter two of the rooms of the house after the heat pump had gone in. From the survey onwards we got excellent service and well-set expectations. They took all the complexity in their stride and walked me through the plans.
The installation took a week in January! and they were really efficient, very tidy and took all their rubbish away with them. They made a real effort to hide cabling and pipework in existing ducts and were happy to go the extra mile and install the open heat pump monitoring device for me as well.
Subsequently I have kept in touch with Goeconic to sort out a couple of connectivity issues and they helped with that too- even spotting when pressure was lost in the system when we had a couple of radiators upgraded in the new kitchen and helping me with the system reset that was needed.
This company will help you every step of the way to get the best system for your house. It has been completely transformational for us - more hot water than we've ever had before with the old gas system and a warm house that looks after itself. Thank you guys!

The level of communication and interaction were great. Every step was explained and the whole team were able to answer all my silly questions, but even more important, they listened to me.

Excellent guidance and concact throughout the planning and installation. The engineers were highly skilled and nothing was too much trouble, including creative problem-solving onsite to provide creative solutions to pipe-runs and electrical work.

As another reviewer has mentioned, getting a heat pump installed when this heating system is not yet the norm was daunting. What was reassuring throughout was how impressed I was with the Econic team every step of the way - from the initial estimate, heat loss calculation, and subsequent detailed proposal and installation. Every call and visit was on time and technical points were explained and clarified as required. When it came to the installation, including radiator changes, it was inevitably disruptive but was all carried out within the planned schedule and to a high standard of workmanship. I would certainly recommend Econic to anyone considering installing a heat pump and am looking forward to enjoying a consistently warm house from now on.
