EXTREMELY disappointed!

Today’s email from you about me having a positive experience is insulting! Nothing could be farther from the truth!

I created a GFM drive for a widow who’d just lost her husband. The set up was VERY glitchy, there was NO PHONE NUMBER SUPPORT OF ANY KIND - your chat feature was super slow and glitchy as well.
Basically, your IT was absolutely horrendous.
Emails would be replied to within 3 to 8 days!!
… and the chat schedules are absolutely ridiculous!! Yes, a total joke! One day, in a span of an hour I “chatted” with 5 people! because they kept going on their breaks and each time I had to explain the situation all over again to the new person. They all type nice, canned things BUT you have to keep explaining things over and over to the new person. I don’t blame them, I blame the management.

What’s worst is that the people who donated to the widow were UNABLE to submit any kind of words and recollections about her husband even though that was her ONLY WISH - so she could print them out and save for her children.
Your excuses on how you’d fix it were all ridiculous and each time I could tell I was being fed canned answers - there’s no one really looking into the issue,
It felt like being told “we’re working on it, thank you for your patience” was just a standard greeting at GFM.
The issue was actually ridiculously simple to fix and I won’t bore people here with details but your IT wouldn’t spend any time on actually looking into it.
I wasn’t planning on giving any feedback at all, was thinking I’d just let it go. However today’s email which stated: “ We’re reaching out because you chatted with us recently and indicated that you had a positive experience” is so insulting and so incorrect I just had to make this comment.
NO - I did not have a good experience! However that’s not important. What’s important is that you made the process very stressful for the widow and that I was told 3 three! times that the problem had been fixed - when it wasn’t.
You should be ashamed of being dishonest and of people not taking their jobs seriously - and if they do, they’re hiding it very well.

Wonderful specialists tespond

I had funds I was unable to access on my own so I finally reached out for help. After getting past the AI, I actually spoke with two different specialists because for some reason I lost the first one, Carter or Calvin I think. Next I talked to Roman and together we got the problem corrected. Both men were extremely helpful and patient and I would not have been able to do it without them. I’m 76 years old so this was quite stressful and both were very mind.

No option for interesting storytelling after raising funds.

It is true that this is the platform that lets you raise funds at the lowest price. However if you then try to take people on a journey with you through what you want to do with the funds that you raised, this platform is not for you. E-mail addresses of donors are not revealed, and the updates you do via the platform have max ten photos per update, which HAVE to be landscape and will not let you place them in-line either, let alone a clip, simple headings, or bold type face.

One star would be harsh, as all the basic features of what it promises to do are there, but above and beyond that there is nothing to excpect. The customer support can’t or won’t help as it’s out of their hands and don’t defer to people with decision making power.

Nothing went wrong particularly

Nothing went wrong particularly. Its the length of time to get funds to your account. Example: we need milk and gas today. Donation was 2 days ago and havent gotten it. When your in need of help now, 5 days is a long time to wait for a deposit.

I donated a single amount to a woman in Gaza but when she thanked me and showed me pictures of food, she mentioned a monthly payment which was not what I agreed to . I contacted Go Fund Me who responded quickly to my concerns. When sending money to the victims of war it is always a little bit of a worry but I am confident in this charitable company. Thankyou.

Love how they have things set up and easy enough to withdraw money. Me I ran into some issues only bc i misunderstood that part and I like that makes it hard for someone to steal money from my account nice and secure website. Thank you team.
