Pros: Cars are okay and of course it's convenient to have them nearby. Cons: If you're a minute late returning, you effectively have to pay for an additional two hours, even if no one is booked af... See more

It's a convenient service, reasonably priced. However, I find the app sub-par by modern standards. It's a bit sluggish, touches don't always register, and navigating is not smooth. It does concern me that any GoGet member can open the car during my booking, so the inability to store valuables in the car does make it less attractive. I look forward to the day GoGet will allow me to do 1-way trips.

This was my first time using Goget. Initially I add Paypal into the app but when I made booking, the app stated invalid and prompt to add new credit card details but it went blank while processing. Beware! My credit card encounters unauthorised transactions within seconds that caused me loss $823+. Must not add any credit card! I had made police report on this matter. Beware

GoGet nominated me for a parking fine without doing proper investigation. ($544 and 2 demerit points). They say I was the last customer to book the car before the offence. They know from records that i parked elsewhere (not where the fine suggests). Some GoGet employee moved the car and they say i'm responsible for it.
I have since April sent them many emails and many calls to follow-up. They just say it is with their "internal team" for investigation and can't get through to anyone with proper authority to escalate. How would this take 2 months to investigate. I have to pay fine in 2 days and this has been a very stressful experience for me.
Revenue NSW say that either i pay or will have to go to court to contest further.
I'm not going down without a fight.
It is highly irresponsible of GoGet to manipulate a customer in taking the rap and to keep dodging and evading every call.
I suppose i will be requesting to go to court with all the evidence I have.

Was excited to open my account with GoGet, After bending over backwards to fill all my details, credit card info yada yada. Get rejected!
I have patronized No Birds rentals multiple times without hassle. My credit check is spotless, no tickets etc. If the account opening is this bad, I would be scared to rent a car.

When making a booking via the browser I applied a promo code. The booking page shows the correct final cost including the promo code. The booking confirmed page dropped the promo code so the price increases for no aparent reason. Then the booking email does report the correct price including the promo code discount. The booking process is inconsistent and doesn’t deliver a standard price throughout the process. Rubbish IT and customer experience. I screen shot the issue and sent it to GoGet twice so they can fix the issue. That should have been a warning to me but ... I then booked a van to move house and arranged my time around the move. On the day of the booking I moved some of my heavier stuff to the front of the property to speed up the move once I got the vehicle. Only problem I go to pick up the GoGet van and its not there. I ring GoGet and they have no idea where the van is or when it would be available. The GoGet support tried to redirect me to another van. I joined GoGet because I don’t have a car so how much sense does it make to chase down another van that may or may not be where GoGet thinks it is via multiple bus trips and walks to pick up and return a GoGet vehicle which further wastes the time I need to move house? That left me with no option but to cancel the booking and get my stuff back into the house. GoGet is a great way to waste a day of your life

I was blindsided by a ridiculous fine for an offence that happened 8 days AFTER my last booking ended. Their only excuse—finally given after a month of me calling and emailing—was that I was the “last person” to use the car before the next booking, which makes ZERO sense and is complete nonsense.
I never had the vehicle on that day, yet GoGet stubbornly refused to accept any responsibility or provide real evidence. Their dismissive and careless handling of this issue caused me huge stress and anxiety. It’s clear their system is flawed, and their customer service is shockingly bad.
I no longer trust GoGet—I canceled my account because I refuse to be held liable for their mistakes. If you care about your time, money, and sanity, DO NOT use GoGet.

Have been using GoGet vans a lot last couple of weeks. It's very conveneint as they have plenty of options in the vicinity to book in the last minute and adjust the time accordingly. It's also very conveneint to just pick the vehicle and then drop it off when we are done and everything is completed automatically for you.

I'm afraid the honeymoon is well and truly over with this company since they obviously don't care about their existing (long-term/loyal) customers and it's time I put my money where my mouth is. I won't bore you with all the gruesome details, instead preface the last decade with a few key pointers:
- yes, despite this extensive period of loyalty, not to mention the amount of money they have got from me over the years, I have never and I mean NEVER received so much as a thank-you email, nor have I ever received anything like a bonus, reward, surprise gift in recognition of my custom (and no, i'm not expecting dollars or an actual present, i'm talking about a discount or complimentary booking, to be honest, even just a nice email .... but ZERO instead)
- if you read through just a handful of reviews, you'll get the overall picture as to what's going on ... GoGet love to over charge and 'surprise' charge their customers CONSTANTLY and then make every excuse under the sun to never repay. I've lost count of the times it has happened to me but 2 distinct memories which still to this day make me so angry but also make me LOL cos it's so ridiculous .... (1) I booked a car once and within 2 mins realised something was wrong. Yes, in fact the front tire had blown and I think the wheel was actually about to come off. I carefully managed to get the car (and myself) to safety which was highly embarrassing to say the least ... was then told it was MY problem and i had to sit n wait for a mechanic to arrive which was going to take min 1 hour .... i explained it wasn't my fault and i didn't have an hour to spare, was already late due to their 'broken' vehicle. Next thing I know they have fined me for leaving the vehicle AND charged me for the mechanic call-out fee. I mean, it's utterly ridiculous that they made this move and it took months to resolve. (2) Simple case of human error, making a booking for 22hrs instead of 2 (blame my fat fingers) .... and even though i called to explain and even though it was obvious i did not have the vehicle for that amount of time, they still insisted that this was the booking i made and so they were unable to amend the charge of almost $600. Once again, this took months to resolve
- think i'm going to stop now as it is starting to depress me that i have put up with this dreadful company for so long, with poor customer service, dirty vehicles, repeated errors with charges, zero reward for loyalty and quite frankly a company that is only interested in making money and luring new customers
WELL, I'M SORRY GOGET, AFTER ALL THESE YEARS IT IS TIME I FINALLY PUT AN END TO THIS ABUSE AND WALK AWAY .... YOU TRULY DO NOT DESERVE MY CUSTOM OR MY $$$$$.
The big wigs in Europe need to wake up and take a good look around cos the market is changing right under their noses and you have done nothing innovative in a whole decade while all these new start-ups are emerging and will soon wipe you off the map.
Good riddance!

Shocking poor service. Do not use!
I rented a van. It was supposed to be full of petrol. It was empty. I refuelled it. Claimed my fuel. It was never refunded.
The van had every panel damaged when I got it. I took photos and reported to Go Get. Why did I have to wast my time on this useless exercise.
I have requested to cancel my membership 11 months ago. I was advised that I must wait until the renewal to cancel. That is Rubbish.
I have received my renewal notice. I have logged I to my account and when I press the cancel membership option, no surprise, the screen displays a thinking gif of a wheel continuously turning. I waited 10 minutes only to find that I received a screen identifying that I had been logged out.
I logged in and tried to cancel my membership again. I received the same result. This time I asked to speak to someone.
Once again I received a turning wheel.
You know who I am. Please cancel my membership. Otherwise I will contact fair trading.
Of I have not received you cancellation confirmation by 22/05/2025, I will commence leaving bad reviews on Google and other websites.
You business could be so good. Instead it's horribly bad.

You keep over charging. You wont pay for petrol. You are charging for tolls I didn't use.Use charge late fees when I'm on time. And you cant contact you by phone. You use a stupid IA to chat to who is useless. I do not recommending using go get to anyone. I will be complaining to consumer offers. This is no way to run a business.Imstarting think it is a scam.

The rigmoral of signing up, having to use multiple different platforms just to sign up. Having it refuse sign in attempts, not being sent forgotten password emails, issues with them telling me pre-authorisation has failed when the money has left my account 2 weeks prior. My good God! You could not make this crap up! Painful is not the word!

Please be aware of their fuel refund process. As a long-time customer, I’ve noticed that recently, obtaining a refund for refueling has become unnecessarily complicated. Despite following their policy precisely—including submitting a receipt and photos of the low fuel indicator—I was asked multiple times to provide additional proof. It seems that loyal customers face difficulties, while the bad ones are rewardes. Moreover, customer service was unhelpful, offering only a lecture about their refund policies instead of assistance.

As soon as he opened the door, he refused to enter, pointing out extensive mould inside the vehicle. Upon closer inspection, I confirmed his observations and was shocked by the hazardous condition of the vehicle. I immediately contacted GoGet’s customer service team to report the issue.
I contacted goget immediately, they were zero help. The solution, told me to get a taxi/taxi’s and send the receipts. Which I did the following day. It’s now been 7 months still without contact or communication from them, I requested for my membership to be canceled back in December of 2024 and today I received an email stating it’s now been cancelled charging me for the past 7 months without having not once used them, I will never use or recommend again.

Horrible horrible horrible. Got called one day before all of our bookings (we booked 3 cars for 3 different days) saying the car was down and had to be switched for another. We were okay with that, and confirmed that the cars were okay to drive. Turns out they gave us the ‘broken’ cars that they claimed were fixed. Stranded us in the Maroondah Highway and did not even offer compensation until we asked for it personally. While it’s not customer service’s fault, none of them were helpful and had to be coached to giving us answers. Do NOT recommend. Horrible service horrible cars horrible systems.

I feel compelled to share my experience so that others are aware of GoGet Unfair Business Practice.
On 13 March 2025, I rented a GoGet vehicle from Queensberry Street at 8:30 am for a short trip to the Victoria Market. During my drive, I parked the car briefly on Leicester Street to get a coffee. Upon returning to the vehicle just five minutes later, I was unable to restart the car.
I contacted GoGet’s support team and, after unsuccessful attempts to resolve the issue, a mechanic was dispatched. The mechanic managed to restart the car but confirmed that the battery was faulty and required replacement. The mechanics did not replace the battery as he did not have the model.
Despite this, I was able to return the vehicle after considerable inconvenience. I advised GoGet to replace the battery to avoid this issue occurring for the next user.
To my shock, on 20 March 2025, I received an email from GoGet stating that I had been charged $150 in callout fees for the incident. When I sought clarification on 21 March 2025, GoGet referred to their policy on callout charges, which states that customers are responsible for such fees when assistance is required during a booking.
My contention is that the fault in this instance was due to GoGet’s failure to maintain the vehicle adequately, as the mechanic explicitly confirmed that the battery was already due for replacement. I believe it is both unfair and unethical for GoGet to pass the cost of a known maintenance issue onto its customers. This policy effectively penalizes customers for problems entirely outside their control.
I wonder who is the next unlucky customer to pay for GoGet for their replacement of their old battery!

There's no appreciation that when something goes wrong (in this case, my access key not working and needing them to remotely open and lock the car every time) that you don't want to spend 5 mins each time phoning a call centre and going through security verification... EVERYTIME ... there needs to be a better way of doing this. People rent cars for very specific reason e.g. vet appointments... phoning them up each time to lock/unlock isn't factored into peoples diaries ... it's irritating

Update: **upon review, Daniel was able to sort through my concern very quickly. I valued the quick solution and if need be in the future, will return to Go Get.
I have been a member for Go Get since 2022 and as my case was not handled with care, I cancelled my membership. Negative experience using Go Get. Tried to call when I couldn't get into the vehicle. I went so far as to get a new smartcard. I was unable to get through to a customer representative over the phone. I ended up getting in the vehicle 20 minutes late as a result. Vehicle wasn't clean. Console was dirty. Tried to extend booking via app, unable to.
Called a customer service rep the next day after being charged an additional $44. I was on the phone for 1.5 hours and was told, I should have taken more photos of evidence. I explained that the app does not work and submitted 2 reports via the app but they were not received. If you take photos using the app, they do not save to your camera roll. I didn't know this until I went to reference photos taken and they were not there. I asked for a full refund and was told "it is a valid transaction". Really disappointing experience and spending over $110 for a booking that was a waste of money and time.
