We used the 'key n go' service
We used the 'key n go' service, had reservations as to whether it would be as straight forward as advertised but it was, no queues, quick and hassle free. We only hired a 'mini' size vehicle but it was fine for the 2 of us.
I'd say we were happy with everything and will use this rental company again. Although we didn't actually book direct with Goldcar, not sure it made any difference.

People make a Difference
Staff were very helpful and offered alternative vehicles to match our budget, they did a great deal for us and upgraded the vehicle for us with no hesitation and assisted us in changing the translation on the GPS from French to English,
Dropping off the vehicle was very fast and I received a message to inform me that the vehicle was checked and cleared.
I will be booking again with Goldcar based on my recent experience, I have a few more trips to Toulouse so they will be my first choice.
Dreadful Company
Dreadful Company
We were late arriving through no fault of our own. Ended up having to pay twice. Wrote to them twice, never heard back, and they don't answer the phone. Letter to their UK headquarters returned to us- could not be delivered. DON'T USE THEM they are terrible

Good price. Older car but fine with us
Older cars with lots of pre existing scratches and knocks. Didnt bother us and was cheapest airport rental so no complaints and car was actually good (Renault clio) as had automatic dipping lights
No setbacks
Booked online, sent digitalised passport and driver's license, took Mega Super Relax insurance package for peaceful mind, car pick-up in few minutes, car return with no time waste, everything smooth
Do not use Goldcar under any circumstances!
I would not recommend Goldcar to anyone. In forty years of renting cars this was by far the worst experience ever.
I should have guessed that the rental price was too good to be true at £81.07 for 4 days.
I did not need their insurance as I had other cover. Despite this I had the options explained to me in extreme detail, at a proposed cost of 116 Euros. When I declined I was told in no uncertain terms that I would need to pay a deposit that would probably cost more in bank charges than the insurance. (This was because their machine rejected my French Bank card and they would not accept my Euro AMEX card , so I was left to pay using by UK debit card). Indeed having just been refunded I have paid £109 in exchange fees. Other hire companies have always taken card details but never debited my account like this.
When I was finally given the keys to the car and the details of the damage to the car I had to look twice as the very significant number of crosses. In fact, it was much worse than that and there was a significant amount of damage to the passenger side with large dents to the door and beneath the door, like it had been involved in a collision. I went back to the office and asked if the car could be changed as I did not really think that it was acceptable to be given a car in this condition.
The staff were very dismissive and rude and I was asked to wait until the person who had dealt with me initially was free. Whilst waiting she managed to convince a couple who had already paid for Easyjet Insurance to pay the 116 Euros for Goldcar, insurance telling them that the cover they had bought was not sufficient! There was a lot of pressure applied to selling their insurance more than I have ever previously been subjected to.
Once free she refused to provide another car unless they refunded my deposit and took another one, which would have meant another £109 in currency charges.
I therefore reluctantly took the car they had allocated.
I have tried to submit a review via the Goldcar website and can not see how to submit one. The reviews on their site appear to be several years old and are not at all in line with the reviews and significantly lower rating I am seeing on Google. They are more recent and in my view more in line with my own poor experience.
Easy and economical.
Ridiculous extra charge attempted
Hired a Fiat 500 from Bordeaux airport for a week. When I collected it I was told that there was a fixed charge of € 150 for any scratches I made to the car. On the booking form there were already 33 "x's" marked to show existing damage. I pointed this out to the guy who had given me the keys and said it would be impossible to check them all.
Guess what,on return they found another scratch that I was supposed to have made. Initially this was on the front wing but when I said it was already there and marked on the paperwork the lady decided that was ok but there was another scratch on the skirt below the bumper that could only be seen by bending double on getting down on hands and knees. Not surprisingly this was the one area of the car that we had not photographed on collection.
A major row ensued. Fortunately our flight had been delayed so we had time to argue the point and eventually she stormed off saying there would be no charge.
I have been hiring cars for over 40 years and I have never picked up a car with so many areas of damage marked.
I'll use a proper company next time.
Great car at a good price
