Fantastic service.

Used Glasgow branch. came in earlier but still was seen only after a few minutes of waiting.

The entire process of selling my car was straightforward and easy. The price given was the highest of all the similar car buying websites and the person completing the sale was efficient and explained what happens very clearly. No negative comments to make, would highly recommend this to anyone thinking of selling their car.

Dealt with Ramsay and he couldn’t have been more helpful. Let me know everything I needed to bring and from arrival to getting the car valued and sold, it took no more than an hour. They paid off the remaining PCP on the car and transferred me the remainder within 2 days. Would highly recommend Ramsey and the lads at GoodByeCar if you’re looking to get your motor shifted. Visited the Aberdeen CARZ showroom to sell my much loved car. I received a warm and friendly welcome, was clearly talked through the process and received full original quoted price for the car without any trouble or negotiation. There were no additional fees or processing charges and the handover took barely any time at all because I had everything with me as set out in the email prior to the meeting. Would definitely recommend and would definitely use again in future.

After receiving an online valuation on the 18th August, I arranged a booking for the 25th August and travelled from Inverness, to your Peter Vardy "Carz" Aberdeen branch. Upon arrival, we waited a short time, then a very helpful sales agent came over to greet us and have a look around the car (apparently the GoodByeCar rep was busy at the time. The sales agent was very polite and helpful to us, before going off to speak to his manager further about the car, as he explained, he doesn't normally get involved with the GoodByeCar side of the business.

After a very short walk round the car, the sales agent came back to advise on the price that GoodByeCar were prepared to offer, which to my surprise, was around £1,500 lower than the original valuation online. The reasoning for this was that the "car requires 4nr new tyres" and that there were two small stone ships on the rear drivers side quarter, that would require "a full panel respray". Otherwise he commented that the car was absolutely immaculate with no flaws inside or out. After having my car serviced by Highland Audi on Monday, with a print out showing the tyres were all 5mm on average, I am gobsmacked at this statement, which goes directly against the guidance on your website. I also stood and watched the manager check my tyres with his fingers, then when he came inside, claimed that he had checked with a gauge. To which I expressed my displeasure, and offered to take another look with my own tyre gauge that was inside the car. The sales agent went to speak with the manager again to see if there was anything that could be done with the offer, but unfortunately he returned stating there was absolutely nothing more they would do.

Before making the 2 hour journey through, I made a point of calling the Aberdeen branch on the 19th and speaking with a representative from GoodByeCar, to ask how genuine the online offer would be. I was told that as long as the car was as described, specifically, 5mm on the tyres, the offer would be very accurate and I should not be disappointed.

I complained directly on the 25th August, and yet to receive any feedback. Unprofessional, incompetent, amateurs.

In the end I sold my car to Cazoo, who were professional, helpful and honest from start to finish.

Avoid this shambles of a company!!!
