When I paid for the ticket it wasn't mentioned that a certain number had to be sold before the draw would take place.

Hi Andrew, sorry that you feel that way, we can appreciate how you might be disappointed. What we would say is that, firstly, the draw did take place. Winners were chosen and they were very happy with their prizes. Secondly, the situation with regards the prize was covered in the terms and conditions that you agree to by playing. These terms and conditions are the same with virtually every other competition website out there. The terms state that if the competition doesn't sell out, we have the option to draw 70% of the funds raised as a prize. In the case of other sites, which are profit making, that 30% is taken to cover their costs. In our competition we were very transparent, and for the main draw we actually drew more than 70% of the funds raised as the prize. The rest is donated to charity. We personally have spent more than was raised promoting the competition, and have taken nothing from the funds raised via sales. We accept that, because our hope is that we can grow this business into something that generates large sums for charity on an ongoing basis, and always draws the main prize as advertised. We're not there yet, but we're hopeful we'll get there. We're super grateful to you and everyone else who played, and we hope that you can understand why, as a charitable organisation, our main aim was to draw a decent prize and make sure we made a decent donation to charity in the process, all in-line with our terms and conditions and with the terms and conditions of the vast majority of the other competitions sites out there. We'd rather draw something, than drag the competition out, and as we said, the winners have been very understanding and happy with their prizes. Apologies if we didn't live up to your expectations this time, we'll have to accept that until we generate some momentum with this thing, that there may be some like yourself who feel hard done by. Posts the raffle numbers before the drawing and uses a RNG to draw the number. Awesome cause and exciting to play. My number was 13 away from the winning number! Next time :)
