Ordered a RC2023601/01 replacement remote for a Philips TV, using an item number supplied by Philips. When it eventually arrived, the back was badly crushed, just many bits of broken plastic and the, surprisingly undamaged, keypad. The remote was made of the thinnest, brittle plastic. No surprise it didn't survive the trackable journey from China, in its plastic bag (no instructions or other product info/labelling inside a tiny padded envelope.
As so many others have stated, requests for a refund or replacement were met by a response asking for photos for "checking" and then a lack of further response.

Update (17 June 2025): After I contacted Paypal's Resolution Centre concerning the issue described below, a company called TopTomDeal responded (via Paypal) and offered a replacement remote control. Just after it had been dispatched, I did also finally receive a response direct from Goodremotes, offering the same. I would have preferred a refund but that didn't seem to be on offer. A month after my original order, a working replacement has arrived safely, though with a few quirks that make it less useful than a genuine Philips remote. There are quite a few buttons that don't appear to do anything; a button labelled A/CH, located above the mute button, mutes and unmutes volume, though the mute button doesn't!); and the main issue, for me, is the lack of a Back button. Whilst that can be worked around for some TV functions, I found that, after setting up a new user in Amazon Prime Video, I wasn't able to return to the app's home page.
I suspect there are better replacement remotes available elsewhere...

Received faulty remote for Sony TV - actually dangerous, as started to heat up when I attempted to use it. Return policy was to send it back to China at a cost equivalent to purchase price in order to receive a refund. This is a fraudulent and hazardous outfit, Any positive reviews no doubt were submitted by them. AVIOID, AVOID, AVOID!

avoid this company the customer service is awful, i had a faulty remote had they asked for photos several times and used this as an excuse not to solve the issus , after 2 month of getting nowhere i settled for a partial refund.
the company is close to scamming customer and will avoid refund

Oh dear, why didn’t I take the trouble to look for reviews of this company before purchasing what was meant to be a replacement Sony DVD player remote? It took ten days to arrive, during which I could track day by day the manufacture in China and the shipping process in impressive detail, but when it arrived (minus the advertised batteries) it took only a few seconds to establish that it didn’t work. Communication with the company led to a request for photos (which were supplied) and then silence. I’m just left perplexed: why go to all this trouble to take people’s money when it surely wouldn’t be that much more effort to provide them with what they think they’re buying???

Like others, I read previous reviews after placing my order and was a bit concerned. However had a despatch notification the next day and was able to track it all the way to when it was delivered today by EVR. The remote is for my Samsung TV and works fine. Delivery took just under 2 weeks.

Have tried contacting them up no contact back whatsoever. Such a shame, don’t make the same mistake I did.

Avoid at all costs. Sent a remote that doesn’t work with our tv despite the website description saying it would. When asking for a refund, the company suggested sending more money to a PayPal account so they could send another. No further response to emails requesting a refund. Scam company. Do not buy from here.

The remote supplied by this company did not work. They are not responding to emails. I am doubtful of getting a refund.

Have been attempting to contact them for 4 months trying to get a refund under warranty (which they state on their website) but constantly ignored.

Have mailed them 5 times looking to purchase a remote, they have not responded once, i would steer clear of his company if i was you, the customer service is appalling.

Bought a remote, cheap replica arrived. Buttons do not work and customer service is non existent. I've requested refund details several times, all ignored.

Bought a smart remote to lg TV .I paid for more money expensive one to get the working pointer and centre buttons functions,I did get a remote just not functioning pointer or center when contacting them they do reply and ask for pictures once you send the pictures they don't reply

Bought a remote for my LG, doesn't work. Good Remotes do not answer emails at all now. Rubbish product. Rubbish company. Buy an "All for One" remote instead. They do work, and cost the same.

Arrived, took 10 days, which made me wonder.
Works wel appears to be new.

Don't ever buy anything off them scamming scum bags.raise case with PayPal asked to drop it and would get refund. Dropped case no refund how stupid am I.so do not ever buy anything from them .not even in Britain

What first appears as a uk company with uk website is actually a Chinese based company. Selling cheap fake goods.
I purchased a Samsung smart remote but what I received was utterly rubbish with no functionality & no WI-FI capability. & despite contacting them they simply don’t reply.
It would of been cheaper & easier to buy a fake from eBay
Hopefully PayPal can resolve my issue

Update as of 7th sept

Was contacted by good remotes (Tommy deal) & after a few days discussion they provided me with an uk address to send the remote back to.
Suspecting they were using me to pass the remote to another customer I sent a letter with the remote to the provided address explaining The remote was broken/ fake etc. but the actual address provided was fake. So please use caution when trying to get a refund, luckily PayPal was able to retrieve my money. If you find yourself in this predicament phone PayPal & explain as they’re now under investigation

Remote control arrived and doesn’t work. Have contacted retailer (who say on their website they will reply within one working day) 2 weeks ago and they’ve not responded. Wished I’d checked Trustpilot first and realised this is a company based in China selling either fake or substandard remote controls.
I’m hoping to get my money back via the bank on a chargeback dispute!!!

Still trying to get a refund for a device they sent that does not work. They only responded once MasterCard contacted them and threatened to reverse the transaction. They still refuse to provide a UK address for returns and just waste time by asking for pictures of the faulty remote. If you are lucky enough to get a device that works, well done! If the cheap, Chinese imitation rubbish that they ship out fails, getting them to respond is hopeless. They are no better than con artists.

Well, made the order in good faith, seemed to be taking a long time to come but I am used to Amazon next day delivery etc.Got a bit anxious about it bring a scam having read the reviews on here. Emailed them to query the delay, had a prompt reply to say my remotes were on their way and they showed me the exact tracking. The next day 2 remotes arrived, well packaged in good order and working fine. so far so good, pleased.

To be honest did worry about the delivery time, 15 days all in all and read not so good reviews as well. However, remote arrived today well wrapped and in good condition. And it works perfect. Thank you
