Super responsive and kind customer service

I received a bench that appeared like a faulty product. I sent in videos for documentation and was offered a new bench or a full refund. Scared of having more ‘trouble’ I choose full refund, which was returned immediately after sending back the product. Very kind and good customer service.

Bad service

Bad service. Had a order delivered but was left on doorstep. When i got home it wasnt there. Now in a dispute between them & DHL because they dont want to take responsibilty

I reached out to them about a confirmation email for my order and got one. The service was good as well.
The item was PERFECT! I would like to compliment them about the creative idea to make a pink punching bag for the ladies . I am very happy. Thank you.

I ordered the 100kg vinyl bench about a…

I ordered the 100kg vinyl bench about a month ago it was pre order and said it will be back in stock on the 25th of March I have now checked the website and it says 17th of April I have emailed and I am still waiting for a response after 6 days

I think that you are referring to another website than gorillasports.dk.
On our website it is not possible to pre-order anything that is not in stock and we have no dates when they will be back in stock. When items are out of stock they are not available on our website at all.
It sounds like you are on the UK website or using Amazon which we are not connected to, they stand apart from our organisation and your review are therefore wrongly addressed.
We have also not received any emails from you.

If this concerns gorillasports.dk please email us at info@gorillasports.dk and we will of course help you.

Ordered 3 Jan at inflated price as…

Ordered 3 Jan at inflated price as nowhere else in stock. Now 11 Feb and still not arrived but they have sent dispatch email so can't cancel. Just a way of getting your order at a higher price when they had no stock just like everyone else

We can't see which order this is concerning but in general, when the order is dispatched, you can't cancel it because it is already on its way but you can always just not pick it up and it will automatically go back to us and you will receive a full refund. If you have placed an order at a certain price, that is what you are paying and not a higher price than that so not sure what you are referring to here.

Price Gouging, Dodgy business practices

Firstly I made the mistake of 'pre-ordering' a 31mm barbell from them.
As you know, there are 2 industry standard sizes; 25mm, and 50mm.
This unique size is so they can sell there own propitiery wieght plates at extortionate prices. Why deviate from proven industry standards?

Once I realised this mistake I cancelled the order in less than 12 hours after making the initial purchase. It was a pre-order so stock wasn't expected until 7-10 days after order was made. However I was informed that it was too late as the item had already been dispatched, and that the 'pre-order' ETA was a mistake.

I wasn't home so the delivery man signed for me, and left it by the shed. To which my partner decided to be nosy and open the parcel. (NO MINA IT'S NOT A SEXTOY)

Now I have a £60 paper weight, which is useless. After looking at the site in more detail, it is apparent that they have massively inflated their prices, for the same items as seen on competitors sites. Don't expect to keep a loyal customer base.

You are also referring to punds instead of our SEK or DKK so this makes us wonder where this purchase has been made.

HOW TO GET AWAY WITH STEALING.

(For now).
The story about how Gorillasports stole my money, like they have stolen so many others').

This could easily have been a positive review. I received the order on time. An item was quite damaged and so I was offered to return the order or get a 10% discount. I chose the discount and so all could have been good.

Instead, it became an unbelievable tale of non existing customer “service”, of lying and trying in every single imaginable way to get away from paying back the discount promised. Eventually, I learned from reviews that quite a lot of people have been scammed by Gorillasports and many have had to report the matter to the police. So will I. As for the few pages with predominantly positive reviews, I can only imagine that they’ve worked hard on having negative reviews removed. In their homeland, Sweden, at a price comparing website, they score 1.6 out of 5, Gorillasports.no gets a Trustpilot score of 2.0 and so on. All report the same : lousy customer service and fraud.

In the meantime, read on if you want a little help deciding, whether or not you should risk shopping a Gorillasports .

I knew they had a 10% campaign on orders. How did I know? I was notified. A DAY AFTER my purchase!

So I let Gorillasports know that although I would accept the 10% for the damaged item, I didn’t think it was an amazing offer, being essentially the discount from the campaign that I should have had anyway.

They said they couldn’t do any more.

Right after that, I received another email saying that they would “of course add another 15% of discount, making it 25% total”. I was very happy about this obviously, as I had had ordered 4 items, 1 being damaged = 25%. But this turned out to be the beginning of a customer service horror I have not seen the likes of EVER.

Firstly, I didn’t receive the promised 25%, but less. When enquiring about the error I was told that I had gotten less because it was added to the 10% campaign (which, as you might remember, I had not had the chance to apply to my order). I was asked unbelievable questions like “Doesn’t it show on your order?” For some reason, at Gorillasports, customer service cannot check your order. That is, they can, and they would later on, but apparently you have to wait some 20+ emails and endure the most disrespectful questions for that action to be taken.

25 mails later –yes, 25 – I got an apology saying their Danish wasn’t very good (why then have a Danish customer service?) and that they had misunderstood and thought I HAD gotten the 10% discount already. “Doesn’t it show on your order?” Eh, no man. Could you, as customer service, bother checking that yourself, maybe?

Funnily, I got little more of the promised 25%, 23,75% to be exact, so still missing 1.25%. The 1.25% represented about $1. Yes. One. As if it wasn’t already, from here it got really, really embarrassing for Gorillasports, trying every trick in the book of scammers to get away from paying out that 1 final dollar.

I was now told that the 25% promised were only for the damaged item – although it was applied to a discount concerning the total order and although they never specified it to be only concerning the one item. So obviously, a lie. In their next mail, they had to admit that. Now they changed the story to, of the 25%, the 10% being applied to the entire order (Oh!) but the 15% were only for the single damaged item (REALLY?!).

I have never in my life experienced a so blunt, obvious attempt at lying from any company ever.

We were now 35 mails in and now this. Btw, as we all know, subtracting 10% of the total order and then 15% of a lesser part of that order will not get you 25%, but less. The stupidity is obvious.

Refusing to let them get away with it, I now asked for proof that the 15% had only been promised for the damaged item and not the total order. What did they reply with?

Lying. They sent the first email, before the 15% mail, where they offered 10% only. Eh…what?

I asked again. Answer number 2! Lying again. Still no answer to my question, of course, but instead an email stating that the promise of a 25% discount was a “misunderstanding” and that I SIMPLY WOULDN’T BE RECEIVING IT!

Rather shocked, I calmly asked the question about the 15% again.

Answer number 3! “We have given you more than what was agreed upon.”

Lying again, as I had not gotten all of the 25% yet.

I’m sure they thought I would let them get away with it.

I can only advise anyone to buy their stuff elsewhere. If a company will go this far to cheat you out a single dollar they’ll cheat you out of anything.

The actual item arrived on 23rd April
I tried to communicate with company several times the response each time was wait a few days
The item is great but when I ordered you where taking orders and took money immediately but you obviously didn’t have the item in stock
Twice I requested a refund which was ignored
Notification on website of long delays or no stock should be updated

I am totally disappointed with this…

I am totally disappointed with this company as I ordered a set of dumbells on the 19th March, they took payment on Amazon and order was accepted.

I was eagerly waiting for them until now and I today received an email from the company that when I placed the order their systems were not on check with stocks and therefor can no longer take my order and delivery it.

Very upsetting as they informed me so late and all dumbells are now out of stock elsewhere!

Very poor service and will definitely not place any more orders with this company

Great Hand weights
