Secure, encrypted, well priced and flexible. It's exactly what I need - offering unlimited storage AND the ability to sync between machines so I'm always working on the latest file version. If, for some reason, I'm using a device that isn't part of my backup system, I can quickly log in and download anything I need. If I want to share files securely with a client, that's easy too. It's also quick and easy to restore files, which is essential if you're backing up business data and disaster happens! (It did to me, about 2 days after I signed up - Gotabackup saved the day.)
Best of all, the customer service is outstanding. Hamish is fantastic - he knows what he's doing, is friendly, and takes the time to really talk to you to know what you need. If you have a problem, he's patient and explains it all simply without being patronising. Being British-based is also a big plus - no more waiting for US time zones, and no trying to figure out what's being said over a sketchy VOIP connection.

Gotabackup are the perfect solution for making sure that all of your personal and valuable files are safe int he event of any catastrophe (from PC problems to Natural Disasters) that can hit your PC. A very simple to use system which involves downloading one small piece of software to your PC and sitting back while it searches your drives for the file types you have selected to backup and uploads them.

Having recently changed a new PC from Win 8 to Win 7 (what an awful OS that was) I had to download all my saved files from the backup site... Took a couple of hours (I'm an amateur wildlife photographer so there were a LOT of photo files to download) and then everything was fully accressable and available on my PC for me to use. Saved me ages as I didn't have to copy files over to an external drive and then hope they didn't become corrupted.

Another bonus is that Gotabackup automatically saves versions of your files as they are saved, so whether you are writing the next Harry Potter or jsut updating your CV you can be happy enough that you can roll back the changes in one easy step.

Gotabackup have very useful and easy to follow "how to" guides on their Facebook page and their customer support is second to none... I would certainly recommend this service to anyone looking for a cost effective method of storing all their important documents..

I have been using cloud backup for a few years with various providers, but found that whilst many appear to offer great value for money, the price increases as the size of your backup increases. I was introduced to Gotabackup by a colleague and have been using their backup service for 18 months. The service is a fixed £2.99 a month, regardless of the amount of data. The free software is very simple to install and use. You simply select the folders or files you would like backup up and thats it!

I have had Gotabackup for around a year and a half now and the experience has been flawless. I found Gotabackup when looking for a cloud backup service one day and came across their site and was amazed by the price, £2.99 for unlimited backup?! Count me in!

Being a student I have important files for coursework that need to be safe in the result of a hard drive failure. And again as I am a student I could not go around spending vast amounts of money on a backup service so this service was perfect. I set it to run in the background backing up every file I want knowing that I never have to worry about hitting storage limits as I get unlimited space (I have already used nearly 1TB!). The staff are extremely friendly and resolve my issues if I ever (rarely) have any, I even find myself just having a general chat to them.

Security was another important issue for me, if my data is in a remote server I want to know that it is safe and unreadable to anyone but me. They use 256bit AES encryption that has never been cracked (even by some of the most powerful supercomputers). As long as you have a strong password your data isn't going to fall into the wrong hands. Lastly is speed. Being someone who luckily has a fast internet connection I want to utilize that upload speed that I have. With other services I have found that they put artificial restrictions in place to slow down how fast all your files are backed up, but not with Gotabackup!

If you are looking for an all round excellent backup service, look no further!

have used other website like this one...they are dearer and not as good...this has everthng i needed...managed to bakc up my vital files and i can not do without now!

Excellent Product

I have never had any problems with this company or product. It does exactly what you expect it to do and since I can access my account on the go I no longer need to carry round fragile portable drives. Fantastic.
