Voyagin puts profit over public health

Our trip to Japan was canceled because of coronavirus (we were supposed to go with a travel company, and there was a layover in Beijing) and every company EXCEPT Voyagin has been extremely helpful in getting us refunds.

There was a no-refund policy on fixed date tickets, which we purchased for Robot Restaurant via Voyagin. I asked if there was any way to make an exception given the circumstances of coronavirus canceling our travel plans and us having no way to get there now until this virus is over and done with.

Voyagin initially told me they would help me if I provided a certificate proving our travel arrangements were canceled. I did this and then they told me that despite the virus, and despite them telling me “incorrect information in our previous message,” I was out of luck.

The unnecessary stress this company is giving us is totally not worth the slight discount we would have gotten had we been able to go. If we had booked directly through Robot Restaurant, we’d have been able to cancel, so I’m not sure why Voyagin’s policy is what it is, and I’m not sure how they can be giving us the runaround like this during a stressful situation and still sleep at night. I’d given them no stars if Trip Advisor would let me.

Voyagin are ruthless exploiters of tourists - never use them!

These guys tried to burn me for a over $100 (13000Y) for a simple reservation, and then spent days messing me around and refusing to refund my money, in the end I had to dispute them with the bank as they would not budge, and then they told me I was lucky to not have to pay my meal costs to the restaurant, implying I had messed them around!

Never book anything with these guys, there are better options. If you want to go somewhere nice in Japan and need a reservation I recommend contacting your accomodation and asking them to ring for you, they'll do it for free instead of the extortionate amount thesse guys ask.

In their favour a couple of their call staff tried to be helpful despite being rendered utterly powerless by management

Not Bad

Edit: The problem has been resolved. Voyagin is not a scam and offers adequate prices to popular attractions but is not reliable when you need an instant e-ticket. It took them over 5 hours to send me my "instant" e-ticket after purchasing.

Great service

Great service! Ticket pick up was easy. My seat in the sumo arena was easy to find thanks to directions given to me at pick up. I will probably purchase through voyagin again!

There service is easy and fast works…

There service is easy and fast works flawlessly. When traveling abroad like in Japan watch out for foreign transaction fees. I didnt know I was gonna get charged that on top of taxes so when you book a tour or a place to visit you'll know why its on your bank statement.

I have had an extremely unpleasant…

I have had an extremely unpleasant experience with the customer support of this company. My younger brother accidentally purchased tickets to the Teamlab Borderless art exhibit for the 13th of november instead of the 12th. Upon arriving on the 12th, we realized this mistake and called voyagin support. My mother was treated extremely rudely after being told that there are no exchanges no matter what, and after she told the woman on the phone she would be leaving a negative review, the woman on the phone threatened her. She said if she leaves a negative review, she will be replying to it personally to say that it was our fault for purchasing the wrong day, and they would no longer give us any support. I am extremely mad ,as any American company would have better customer service. We asked to speak to a manager and were told they do not have a supervisor or manager there every day and to try calling back a different day, she couldn't even say a day a manager would be in, or offer us a callback from him or her when they did come to work. A business with no management available for days at a time is extremely dysfunctional, and due to this I cannot recommend ordering from voyagin as if you require any support, the staff will be rude, and they have no supervisors or managers on regular staff (this was a Tuesday we called, not even a weekend).

Edit: I'm not sure how this is correct, as the manager at teamlab told us the only reason they couldn't fix it was because it was purchased through voyagin. We were told if we had purchased directly through them they would have resolved the issue. They said voyagin tickets can only be cancelled by voyagin, so perhaps better communication is in order. At this time I still cannot recommend anyone purchase tickets from voyagin, as per other reviews where people could not get tickets changed even in the case of when the business was closed due to the typhoon. If you purchase from voyagin, know that no matter the circumstances, whether they be natural disaster, or human error, you will never be allowed to make any changes at all. This is not a company with American style customer service, they will never offer refunds or changes. I would recommend that if you use a 3rd party booking company, to use klook, as they are based in Hong Kong, and they offer customer service that is more european/american.

Use Paypal to avoid payment issue

Like other reviewers I got "your card has been declined" for no apparent reason. Since they have the option of using paypal, I logged in to my paypal account and added the same credit card, then made the payment for my Eurodisney tickets without any problems. If you use Paypal, make sure to change payment alternative for your credit card (either logged into paypal or when making the purchase) to "pay in merchants currency" (or similar). Otherwise you will pay like 4-5% in conversion fee to paypal.
Other than the payment issue, I am really happy with Voyagin, I saved about 175 EUR for 2 adults & 5 children compared to the Eurodisney official site.
