Misleading Process – Be Cautious If You’re a Graduate
As a recent graduate seeking roles in investment and finance, I applied to opportunities listed by Graduate Financial Recruitment. At first, everything looked legitimate — a decent-looking website, a LinkedIn profile with a few thousand followers, and structured emails.
However, after progressing to a phone screening, things began to feel off. The recruiter refused to tell me which company the role was for, citing "confidentiality," which is unusual and prevents candidates from preparing properly. When I asked whether any paid training or courses were required, the response was vague: "it depends" — a red flag that usually points to future upselling.
There was pressure to act quickly because of “application deadlines,” and I was told I only needed to align myself with a certain course provider. While I wasn’t directly asked for payment yet, it felt like I was being set up for a classic bait-and-switch where the job role is a lure to sell paid certifications.
No real job description, no company name, and vague promises. This is not how trustworthy recruitment works.
⚠️ Graduates — please be careful. Don’t hand over your personal data or money until you know exactly who the employer is, and never pay for a job.

After applying for a job, I was told by Graduate Financial Recruitment that I needed a certification from Financial Regulation Courses. They demanded a £30 KYC fee followed by a £250 exam fee. Both companies turned out to be a scam, operating with fake addresses in the UK but actually based in the Philippines.

Avoid Graduate Financial Recruitment & Zain Mir – Misleading & Deceptive Practices
I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with my experience dealing with Graduate Financial Recruitment (GFR) and specifically Zain Mir. This company falsely advertises ESG graduate opportunities that do not exist, using them as bait to coerce unsuspecting job seekers into purchasing an ESG course under the illusion that it will lead to employment.
Zain Mir personally assured me that I would receive an update within two weeks regarding a supposed ESG graduate opportunity. It has now been over three weeks, and despite multiple follow-ups, he has completely ignored my emails. This unprofessional behaviour only confirms my suspicions that this company is running a scam, preying on job seekers who are eager to break into the ESG industry.
They use fake job ads and a sham recruitment process to mislead candidates, making them believe that they are being considered for a legitimate role. However, at some stage in the process, they push you to enroll in a "sponsored" ESG course with hidden fees, falsely implying that it will improve your chances of securing a position. Once you’ve paid, their communication suddenly becomes non-existent, and the so-called "graduate opportunities" disappear into thin air.
This company is not only wasting people's time but also exploiting job seekers financially and emotionally. If you come across a job listing or are contacted by GFR or Zain Mir, stay away! Do not fall for their deceptive tactics.
I will be reporting this company to consumer protection authorities and regulatory bodies to prevent them from misleading more people. I strongly urge anyone else who has been affected to do the same.

SCAMMERS!! Taking peoples' Money WATCH OUT!!!!
Graduate Financial recruitment contacted me to take a course to after my "initial application was unsuccessful due to the absence of a professional qualification". They told me it was a Sponsorship, yet I paid them 30 pounds for the KYC - then 150 pounds to take the final exam. Yet in regards to the ESG job that the qualification would help me get I never heard back from them. I, according to their email communication, I was supposed to be interviewing Jan- Feb 2025, yet no interviews were scheduled by this supposed recruitment agency. This scheme is appealing because it seems like an additional route into the industry, but its a fraudlent scheme preying on peoples desires to progress their career. As genuine as they seem when they first contact you, it is all a scam. Please protect yourself and do not use their services it will not progress your career!!!!!!!!!!!

General qusetions.
Why do the company haven't got ".uk" in the end? Every company either public or private have got ".uk" in the end. Starting in March 2024, new companies must supply a registered email address during incorporation. If you register through Your Company Formations, you will be prompted to provide an email address for this purpose alongside other company registration details, ensuring your application meets all the requirements for approval.
Why the call keeps decline, even if you are in a private sector, there is an answering machine, saying "Kindly leave a message". I am not defaming you, but why your address leads to the Appin Sports, South Charlotte Street?

You are absolutely correct that from March 2024, a registered email address is required for company incorporation however this was implemented after our inception.

Scam
Unethical company.
Pretending that you were selected for an interview (even though you never applied), then sending a rejection email saying that the system is not accepting your CV and the so called ATS team is asking you to pay 100£ to submit your ATS CV.
The jobs probably do not even exist in the real life, as the company never disclosure what the company is (as they say for security reasons).
During “a pre screening interview” I was asked a couple of random questions from Google on behaviour and skills. Were also rushing my application saying there is a couple of space left and speeding me up all the time to pay for the CV.
Read a couple of other reviews here after facing this satiation regretting I have not done that before!!!

This company isn’t even a legitimate…
This company isn’t even a legitimate recruitment agency; it’s a scam designed to exploit people. They randomly approach students, claiming they’ve received their application (even though the students never actually applied) and express interest in further discussion.
Later, they deceive these students into purchasing their ATS resume service. The team responsible for creating these resumes is highly unqualified, producing resumes riddled with so many errors that they can never be fully corrected.
Students are required to pay upfront before receiving any service. When the service turns out to be completely unsatisfactory, and customers request a refund, the company starts ignoring emails and calls, or they cite terms and conditions to deny any refunds.
This is a well-orchestrated scam. The UK government needs to take action against them. Someone must stop them. Please spread awareness to protect international students from exploitation.

Terrible product and experience, unprofessional staff
They target vulnerable people looking for work, say your CV isn’t showing up on their ATS system, then “pretend,” to talk to their manager to get you to pay money for their absolutely terrible CV services.
I was hounded for days when they wanted me to pay, then heard nothing following for two months. They then targeted me for leaving an unfavourable review, spoke to me in a demeaning and patronising manner, and have only since reached out as I left this review.
I would recommend using other recruitment agencies with a high level of professionalism and reliability, who engage with you throughout the recruitment process and don’t try and peddle various products onto you. I never leave reviews but want to warn anyone, especially vulnerable grads, against using this extremely poor company and paying any money for it. Don’t ignore the reviews!
