Avoid!

Put in a complaint about the Sheffield store on the 'contact us' section of their website about a month ago and never received anything back, saw on a Facebook group that this is the only place they will reply to you.
Funnily enough the Facebook group is aimed at boycotting the retailer.
Absolutely horrendous , not even a phone number to get in touch with them.

For anyone thinking of shopping at the Sheffield store, DON'T. The customer service is ridiculous, the staff are rude and think they're above everyone else.

Will never step foot in any of the stores again!

I've searched our records for emails from you, and the one we received on July 28th at 2:10 didn't include which store this happened at. We replied via email on the same day around 1 hour later asking you to confirm which store this happened at, so we could escalate this for further investigation with the relevant area manager - however this came back as an invalid email address, so I think you've made a typo in your email address.

As you didn't provide a telephone number, we had no other way of contacting you - can you drop us an email on webteam@graingergames.co.uk so I can look into this further?

Ridiculous

I have had multiple bad experiences with the staff in Sheffield, emailed off many of these on their contact us section of the website and always been fobbed off.
Went to buy a game a few Sundays ago and was told to leave the store as it was 10 minutes to closing. I knew exactly what I wanted and would have been able to buy the game in less than a minute. The staff were horrible and rude. If you ever do shop at this store, avoid a short blonde haired guy as he has the worst attitude I have ever come across.
This store has gone so far down hill that it's ridiculous. The staff are a disgrace.
They've now lost hundreds of pounds of custom from me as I was aiming to buy a PS4 for a present next month and a new Xbox One when they hit stores.
Will be going to Game or CeX from now on!

As requested: I replied to the last email on August 16, 2016 at 11:10 PM and never heard another thing.
I also don't appreciate the way it appears you are accusing me of lying. My original complaint was that the staff member said the store was closed and refused me entry, not that the actual store was closed, as obviously if the shutter was down then I wouldn't have been able to speak to anyone. I have a full copy of all correspondence if needs be.

Hi Alex - I'm sorry to hear of the issue you've had with our Sheffield branch.

I've looked into your complaint and can see that every email you've sent to us via the contact us form was replied to in full within 24 hours.

This issue was escalated to an area manager to look into why this store had closed early, however on the date provided we found that there were still sales going through the tills after 5pm (closing time) so this wasn't the case - he emailed asking for additional information to look into further - can you confirm if this email was sent back to him?

Ordered new games and received USED games. A week later and the 4th game still hasn't arrived!

I am disgusted with the service from grainger games. I ordered 4 NEW games and a full week later only 3 USED games have been delivered. The used games were not even in good condition.

Grainger claim in their reply: "whilst we do try to send out sealed items wherever possible, as we source items from our stores occasionally we are unable to do so as the boxes are unsealed so the games/manuals can be stored securely for security purposes (particularly with older games or items which are low in stock). However these games haven't been previously used and include all single use content such as DLC/Online Passes where applicable" - THIS WAS NOT THE CASE WITH THE GAMES I RECEIVED. The game discs were marked, had scratches on them and fingerprints, the boxes were not sealed, tatty and had stickers on the front.

I have also visited a store in the past and in my opinion I received unfriendly service. Will not order again!

Hmm, I wonder why Grainger aren't about anymore.

I've looked into the delivery time you've claimed and this isn't the case. This order was placed on Friday afternoon with Free delivery, which estimates up to 5 working days.

You contacted us on Wednesday morning (the 3rd working day) to say these had arrived and you were unhappy with the items - not a full week later.


Whilst we do try to send out sealed items wherever possible, as we source items from our stores occasionally we are unable to do so as the boxes are unsealed so the games/manuals can be stored securely for security purposes (particularly with older games or items which are low in stock). However these games haven't been previously used and include all single use content such as DLC/Online Passes where applicable. We do state this in the terms of our website - however if there is any damage or problems with your purchases we are happy to refund/replace these.

I can see from your query that a pre-paid label was sent to you within 15 minutes of you contacting us to inform us that you were unhappy with the condition of your purchase, so you could return these for a full refund at no cost to yourself.

If any of this is incorrect please let us know so I can look into this further. Thanks

Bradford store; Stood waiting 15mins to be served, staff chatting away with friend

Went in to buy a game for my daughter, was stood by the till for almost 15mins whilst the guy behind the till chatted away with a friend about hard drives, ended up going to GAME up the road instead. Ignorant, zero customer service, won't be going back

Bootle store

Went into bootle store with smashed phone screen, the manager could not of been more helpful. Had phone fixed within 30 mins and a very good price.

Earned my trust and respect from one purchase

Grainger Games had the God Eater 2 Game & T-shirt bundle cheaper than any other site, and I had never heard of Grainger so I had every reason to be skeptical. As it happens, it arrived really soon, extremely well packaged and ultimately I have no complaints whatsoever. Phenomenal price, fast dispatch and good service overall. I can see myself coming back to this site in future, particularly for Vita games.

Didn't realise games were not sealed

I paid for a new game and when it arrived it was unsealed and covered in dirty fingerprints. On querying this with Grainger, they explained that some games come from their stores where discs are stored away from the game cover on the shelf. This isn't desirable when giving as a gift (as I was) and had I have known this I wouldn't have bought.

Their CS was very quick to explain and offer a refund, but it was too late for the birthday. The game worked perfectly though.

Item never dispatched, taken my money, no reply to emails

I ordered a £360 item 7 days ago, still says 'order processing' on my account although they've taken my money. I've emailed them directly for assistance but no reply. Not happy, will have to drive to nearest town with a Grainger Games shop to sort out.

Beware anyone thinking of ordering online.

Extreamly slow despatch

Ordered a ps4 on sunday the 14th it is now the 18th and they havent even despatched it yet, shockingly bad i get stuff of ebay faster

Think i will stick with prime and have next day deliver

Not happy!!!

I ordered a ps4 version of call of duty advanced warfare and they sent me an xbox one version thanks had no reply from them regarding sending wrong game out

Even after your reply on friday saying it has been despatched it still isnt marked as despatched on your website i want the ordered canceled if it has not been despatched and i will get it off amazon so i can get it tomorrow!!!

As we source stock from our stores across the UK (to allow us to sell a wider range of products, as well as pre-owned items which have been traded in) it can take a few days to have these ready for dispatch. However we do send all items first class which should arrive the next working day after dispatch. This is why we estimate up to 5 working days delivery, as this includes the processing time.

Your item has been dispatched via courier and will arrive the next working day.

Very helpful

We visited Liverpool for the weekend and purchased an item from trade nation on our return home we found the item to be faulty to far to take it back to the store. We got in touch with grainger games head office and our problem was resolved with in a couple of days. Very happy with all commutatiions and item replaced.

Delivery Times

Ordered last Saturday and game should have come Mon-Fri. I made a typo in the delivery address and had it changed by the community manager who then said my game would come on Thursday on Fridag. However it is now a week on (Saturday) and i havent recieved my game. Extremely annoyed and worried as the money has been taken off my account and i dont even know if my game is coming. I feel customer service needs a step up.

Excellent

I assumed that with there being no mention of the game arriving for release day that it would arrive a couple of days after.

I was surprised that the game arrived the day before release. I use the local store quite often due to the great prices and the great customer service from the staff and the online side met those same high standards.

It was great

On time there are 2 things I can think of that need a little push like I got the game before I was told it had been processed and it got my hopes up when I found add on vouchers for fable then let down when they had been used that's to be expected with a pre-owned game so it's worth checking out the cases before dispatch.

Just to confirm, as soon as an item has been dispatched you should receive an email letting you know, this may have went into your junk folders.

Regarding the DLC extras in your pre-owned game case - any pre-owned game is priced to reflect that any DLC codes may have been used by the previous owner, however if these are still in the box we leave them in, as occasionally these haven't been used so it's a nice bonus!
