Early days with our heat pump but good so far. Pump itself is compact and very quiet. System seems efficient but yet to be tested in colder weather for the adequacy of the temperature. Installatio... See more

So disappointed with grant.
I bought a new grant boiler, within a couple of weeks of installation the boiler went faulty, turns out it had blown a hole in the burner which apparently they do, grant informed my plumber of this, iv been without hot water and heating for nearly two months, they said they sent out new part but all that was received was about a kilo bag of screws, very disappointed as my last one lasted 15 years...

Our engineer James was an absolute legend. His attention to detail is 100%. Something sadly missing in many facets of businesses. So far very happy with the boiler seems to be working efficiently. However we did send back the form to get an extra 3 years warranty and not heard a word from your admin people.

Recommended by the installer
The plumber who came to install the new boiler, recommended the make of boiler.
As someone who knows very little about boilers all I can say is it is very quiet, works efficiently. Easy to use, heats the water and radiators very quickly. If the installer recommends it then it has to have good qualities and it does what it is supposed to do so definitely worth looking at to buy.

Paul from Technical
Paul from Grant technical diagnosed my issues promptly. Even sent me screen shots of what parts to order so the plumber could fix quickly, saving me money on labour. Excellent at what he does. Thanks Paul.

Very pleased with my new condensing boiler. Installation done in one day and it has additional features compared to with my 20 year old one. Still to see if it proves to be more efficient. Thanks

Every year something will go wrong with my Grant oil boiler
Every year something will go wrong with my Grant Vortex oil boiler even if It has been installed and serviced by a Grant approved installer. Basically, they are of such poor quality something will fail, without a doubt, at least once a year. Over 6 years, 4 new expansions tanks, two pumps, leaking manifold, two switches "on-off", leaking oil pump, Perished O-rings, although I think I was conned there as nitrile o rings last for 20 years so lets put that down to service engineer bullsh*t to make money. Grant approved installers and service engineers, what can I say!! The first two years, absolutely perfect, changed engineers, in and out in 20 minutes, did not clean baffles or tubulars, said it wasn't necessary if the fuel mix was set correctly, condensate trap was left filthy, oil leaking from the pump "forgot to tighten the bleed screw and claimed the O-ring was perished!! A nitrile O-ring submerged in oil has a service life of 20 years. I am not a mug, I have a degree in mechanical and Aeronautical engineering with heat exchange being one of my specialities, just because I have grey hair does not make me believe the shyte you are peddling.
So, as I sit her tonight with water pouring out of the back of the boiler and having to wait a week for a engineer "probably another failed jacket" No hot water, as the vented immersion element was never checked to be working, and it doesn't. I was wondering if Worcester is a better alternative!
@Grant, your product quality leaves a lot to be desired, your "approved service engineers" not all of them, but 3 out of 5 in my experience are useless.
Should we buy your product again? and by we I mean 3 households on the same farm with the same problems, I don't think so.

My husband installed
My husband installed vortex boiler house in May. We had a very old Worcester that had done it's time. Stripped of parts that were new to use with boiler house. Once installed and tuned in, it has been purring like a kitten. Sweet as a cherry. Definitely cheaper and more efficient than older boilers and farrrrr more efficient than our air source heat pump. Let's hope oil will be around for a very long time.
