Lovely location
Lovely location . Hotel dated but listed.
Our room had a high ceiling and beams with great big chimney breast. A lot of people would love it for the history as we did but needed extra lighting overnight as room had steps leading to bathroom.

We loved the location
We loved the location. Hotel was great. Room lovely. Only issue, but not really an issue, just an observation for the information of others, was the dinner. We had a dog so had to eat in the bar. No problem as we were offered both bar and restaurant menus. The only issue is the break is advertised as a £22 meal allowance for a two course meal. This was virtually impossible due to the cost of the courses. A basic meal, fish and chips and sticky toffee pudding exceeded this budget, and you would need to pay extra. Not a problem but to say you will get a two course dinner for £22 is virtually impossible.
