Finally Working

Customer Review of My Solar Installation Experience (Green.com.au)
I received several emails asking me to rate Green.com.au, but I waited until my system was fully installed and operational before giving feedback.
Sales & Pre‑Installation
I ordered a 7.48 kW solar system with a 26.66 kWh battery in early October 2025. My sales consultant, Ryan Armstrong, was excellent. He clearly explained the installation process and even sent links showing how the panels would be mounted on my roof. I signed the quote and paid the $500 deposit.
Unfortunately, after that, communication dropped off. Nearly two months passed with very little contact from Green. I was eventually told the system would be installed by the end of December.
Scheduling & Changes
In late December, after asking whether I should cancel and go elsewhere, I was suddenly given a site visit date (6 Jan 2026) and installation date (8 Jan 2026). Green also informed me that the originally quoted 17 x 400 W panels were unavailable and offered 15 × 470 W panels instead. I accepted this change and signed the revised contract.
Installation Experience
The installation itself was the highlight of the entire process. Christian Gonzalez from Renewable Energy Group and his team did an excellent job. They were professional, informative, and answered all my questions.
Unfortunately, about six hours after installation, the inverter failed. Christian returned that evening, made the system safe, and followed up the next day. AlphESS attempted a remote software fix, which didn’t work, so Christian returned again and coordinated with AlphESS to determine that the inverter needed replacement. His responsiveness and professionalism were outstanding.
Billing Issues
During all of this, Green continued sending final invoices — three different versions, all with errors.
• The first invoice was based on the original quote (incorrect).
• The second had the correct price but incorrect STCs.
• The third was finally correct.
The accounts team needs better communication with sales and installation, as this caused unnecessary back‑and‑forth during an already stressful period.
System Performance So Far
The system has now been running for four days.
• I’ve earned about $2.77 in feed‑in tariff.
• My grid consumption has noticeably dropped.
• Green has now been paid.
I’m looking forward to seeing my next power bill to understand the real‑world impact.
Overall
• Sales experience: Excellent
• Installation team: Outstanding
• Communication & admin: Needs significant improvement
• System performance: Too early to fully judge, but promising so far

Everything went to plan

Everything went to plan. Green provided what I wanted at a competitive price. Trouble free installation. Before leaving they checked that I was connected to the manufacturer's website and the system was working correctly.

I paid deposit on 1/12. Its March and still waiting!

I paid deposit on 1/12, now it is 26/2 and i still dont have an installation date! Make sure they tell you what the wait is otherwise they are taking deposits when they have no space.
It is now 17th March and Green.com.au still have not given me an installation date. Instead they are trying to get me to sign a builders contract valued at $24,500. Why is this additional contract needed? It still has no completion date on it. I will ask for a refund and keep you posted. DO NOT deal with this company!

Trust A Positive Review.

Run away and don't look back.

Green.com.au will tell you anything you want to hear to sign you up. The ink wasn't dry on the contract in August and the whole thing started to descend into a litany of excuses why I was taking the photos of the site and the inverter and the power board, and choosing the site. Installation was suddenly delayed by at least 3 months which they knew before I contacted with them and didn't tell me and this goes on..... From the date signed it wasn't until November when the installation occurred only because I followed up. Ensure they go through the app with you and get the feed in tariff correct and other information. The battery isn't working properly. The whole process is a mess. Check out the company history on line.
Their response is completely dishonest. They have not tried to contact me about anything. They know very well who I am because I have been in contact with them. If they have tried to contact me as they say they know who I am.
I don't take kindly to being threatened with removal by Trust Pilot if I don't provide more information. I have provided my name and the date of service.

Outstanding customer service

After emailing numerous battery installers Tom from Green was the only one to get back to me on the 5/1/26.
During our conversation Tom suggested after looking at my electricity bill that a 13.3 AlphaESS battery would be more than enough to cover my needs, however I was looking at around the 20kwh battery.
Tom advised me that AlphaESS didn’t do a 20 so I could have two 13.6 total 26.6 and after looking at the price difference with the government rebate it was a no brainer.
So on the 7/01 I made a small deposit and got the ball rolling as Tom had advised me it would be a 6 week lag time until installation could happen.
After sending photos of where I wanted the batteries and of my switchboard I received a call on the 12/1 from Will advising me that they had a cancellation for the following day in my area and if I wanted to go ahead could have the batteries installed then although as my switchboard was 30 years old some upgrade was required at a extra cost which I agree to.
On the morning of the installation Will rang me again to advise that they had batteries which were due to be installed were out of stock but Green were prepared to upgrade them to two 15kwh batteries at no charge to me , which I thought was outstanding customer service as they quite easily could have postponed the installation until the batteries were available.
Indra and his offsider arrived on time were very polite and professional working tirelessly all day to complete the installation also taking away all the rubbish leaving the site as they found it could not fault their work and answered any questions I had.
I received a call late that afternoon from the office just checking that I was happy with the works completed which I was and on the 17/1 the batteries were inspected and commissioned.
So with in ten days all was completed and running with out a hitch
I cannot recommend Tom Will Dan and Julia and the rest of the Green.com.au group highly enough.
I installed 3 years ago 6.4kw Trina panels 5.4 goodwee inverter via a different company and at the moment batteries are usually fully charged by 10am and feeding back into the grid .
Will review in 3 months once I’ve had a couple of bills to compare.

Did what was promised when promised and as promised.
Great time of the year to have the solar/battery combo and it’s currently
Cost positive.
With the level of demand from customers for installation it was good to be scheduled in mid December for an early January installation.

Alpha ESS Smile 5 Battery

The whole process was great from start to finish, great communication in regards to progress, installation and payment.
Very informative about the system for what I needed in day to day usage.
Installation team was very professional, showing me how to operate the system and the App.. plus cleaning up the site so I could not be happier.
Green have now supplied my Solar Panel's in 2023 & completed my system now with the Battery Installation.

Unable to deliver

Entered into a contract for delivery of a solar battery in 2025. Late in 2025 was sent a YouTube video providing excuses as to why they couldn’t deliver in 2025 with no timeframe for that delivery. Since then no updates no responses to my requests for a timeline. Unfortunately have missed the opportunity to engage an alternative supplier and receive the maximum rebate and remain in limbo!

Successful installation…

Following the successful installation of an Alpha ESS battery to my home, I wish to acknowledge the work of Joshua Armstrong of Centrifuse Energy, the contractor.

Josh was prompt, efficient, knowledgeable and willing to share his knowledge with me, a retired electrical/electronics technician with many questions. I was impressed with his neatness and attention to detail including use of a spirit level on short ducting runs. Even working alone, the installation was completed in less than a day due to Josh's familiarity with both the product and his electrical expertise.

Green is also to be commended for using contractors such as Josh.

Many thanks and I can see the benefits to lowering my power costs even after 10 days or so.

A good proposal and Then a very good Install.

A good proposal and your seller was Knowledgable.

Project team coordinating the installation could be improved with a single point of contact rather than a contact centre. Though everything is documented, occasionally I found myself repeating myself to a new member.

The first Installer wanted to install the system internally - where as the second installer, after consulting Green project Team - a second installer was assigned, and he performed a sensational job. Clean, without issue, professional. A very happy outcome.
