Easy Installation
Green Home Systems installation went off without a hitch. The installer did have a slight problem with my metal roof (he wasn't planning for that), but he made it work and now I'm up and running. I have a positive $50.00 balance on my electric bill and I expect it to grow. If you have the location, I'd encourage going solar!

Not much service after purchase
I was told Green Home Systems would assist with the rebate applications when I purchased their system. After installing the solar panels and the contact was signed it seemed like I know longer existed. Just tell me where to apply for these rebates and how to apply for them. But the system is working great.

Got solar PV and a whole house battery; happy camper.
Installing a solar PV system isn't easy. My system is on the large side with 32 panels, a backup interface, a whole house battery, and a smart panel. The system was a first-of-its-kind in my area. The folks at Green Home systems stayed with me during the whole process, coordinating the loan, the Solar PV installers, electrician, and the electric company (A rural electric cooperative). It was just about 6 months from first discussions to generating power. There were a few system integration issues to be resolved, of course. I've really enjoyed having the system running.
I had a succession of project managers from GHS which was irritating but ultimately not a problem.
The battery isn't quite large enough to power the house overnight which means I draw from the grid in the early morning.

Once the solor panel and batteries were installed, up and running the system is outstanding. It was just the LONG time frame it took to get the system install. Not getting any phone or email correspondence on the delay made it even worse. So correspondence was terrible.
