Bad company that don’t listen, for years I have drank in my local pub that is a green king with good friends and I go in one day as always to be pulled to to side by the landlord IAN JOLLY and asked if I had purchase a drink for a friend of mine the week before to WITCH I said yes to only be told he had been barred,! And for that reason he was not serving me so I left, as I had been going there for years I messaged one of the bar lads to see what’s going off only to be told he has barred me and told them not to serve me if I go in witch I found unfair, to I raised this with green king WHO agreed this was not right to then get a reply to say that they are backing up they pub manager (witch I know they would) as don’t look right if they go against them, but end of the day I didn’t PULL the pint or ask was asked to leave at the time by the staff so what leave it till about 2 weeks later then tell me I’m not welcome for buying that drink but hey the bar member who told IAN didn’t say anything at the time when we was there bud waited till after and they still work there so what disciplinary
Action was taken on the bar number
(Craig) nothing!!! I just can’t get over how after all the years I been going to this pub and now I not welcome for something a member of staff did! End of day they have made the decision
But I still believe it’s the wrong decision. And head office brushed it under the carpet,

Kerry, the Waitress. She is very pleasant & competent. Our meal was delicious. Always a pleasure to dine in the Burnbrae Restaurant, Bearsden.
I would also like to say that Gerry, the Manager was very helpful in dealing with my Black Friday Deal.

Bridgwater maltshovel greenking pub.
We have been going to the maltshovel in Bridgwater for quite a while this year and every time we go for a drink and a meal the bar staff are very friendly and helpful and the food has really got better. Two years ago I put a bad review but now I take it back. They are working very hard to make the pub what it should be and my partner and myself would like to thank the maltshovel for making us so welcome.

Ordered the steak, arrived overcooked. Unfortunately everyone had eaten when my meal eventually came out. Purchased a tesco sandwich instead. Extremely disapointed!!!

Good tasty and well-presented food, served by cheerful staff. Costs are reasonable and portion sizes are adequate.
The only comment I would make is, on the day we visited the bar could have done with an additional staff member.

Shocking the way I have been treated . By The fours season in Laindon . Green king dont give a monkeys. I was bard at pub for mistake identy . And the incident apparently happen a year half in front of my children . The incident never happened involving me. . I ask for this video everdence but they don’t want to know or care

Murray Ratcliffe who apparently is the area manager of the Riverside Inn at Dundee in Scotland...your restaurant is shocking, I have been visiting for over 2 years now and the standards and service is abysmal!! I could understand during Covid period, I could understand after covid period, I could understand that there is a recruitment crisis, but I can also understand that there are numerous universities that I had been at over the last week with new students crying out for work...Green King use your brain! Let me explain further, I booked online for 730pm on a Saturday evening on your app, which was the only time available, ok given it is a Saturday and I booked last minute, so I expect it to be busy. As I entered, the restaurant was 30% full?, I stood for 10 mins with 5 in my party to be looked at as if we were not welcome. We were seated and told you have 5 minutes to order as the kitchen is closing!! What!! On a Saturday evening, I can guess what your P&L is showing and that will be guaranteed red!! We then placed our order and 10 mins later were told that we would need to have our starters with our main meals....considering we would gladly have spent 150 pounds plus we decided to vent our frustrations which we were more or less told nothing we can do. I asked for the MD details which they did not know and could only pass on the area managers details, which to be honest I felt no confidence in contacting bearing in mind the ambience, service and total lack of consideration for the customers needs. I and my wife have worked in retail for 30+ years and I can only say this is up there with some of the worst service I have ever received! So Murray Ratcliffe what are you doing? If you cannot find staff increase the salaries, as you have lost another family of customers, why are you only 30% full on a Saturday??? Kitchen shutting at 740pm on what should be the busiest day of the week...come on, wake up and start retailing!!

Went to the Spotted cow in Swindon. Normally a family favourite. If i could leave no stars then that would have been my first choice.
Placed order and food started to come out an hour later. 2 couples at our table ordered at the same time. 1st order of 2 roasts arrived cold, not just cold but stone cold. Got told 10 - 15 min wait for a re cook. 2nd couple order came out with another cold roast powdered mash and the second meal completely wrong. We asked to see a manager. 10 minutes later a waitress came and apologies as the manager was stuck in the kitchen cooking. Another 15 mins and another manager had been pulled in to deal with the Mess as several other tables also complaining. Won't be going back again which is there loss as we have several family meals there throught the year. Oh and the wrong meal never made it out of the kitchen.

I went to the canarven arms pub for my sons birthday and had a small dog with us as it is dog friendly the managerress was abrupt and down right rude she said put the dog on the floor ok but there is away off speaking to people we all know the hospitality is in a bad state but her attitude will not help. I myself am 82 years old and having cancer treatment I said we were bringing business and she said not everyone likes dogs so why have a dog friendly pub with the likes of her. She is a rude person and people near me said she over stepped the mark and I myself would not dream of being so disrespectful to a senior person. She was lucky it didn’t get worse as my sons were angry green king should check there employees as she is to smug for her own good

We visited The Wrekin Giant in Telford this morning with a group of friends,the staff were all welcoming & friendly,and the manager Chelsea was very attentive at taking our food & drink orders,and getting us seated all together.
The food was was served to us and we all said how fast the service was,an how beautiful all the meals was,will deffo be revisiting 5⭐️

Went to the hungry horse barrbridge on Monday 8/8/22 at 6pm to be greeted at the door by so called managed staff to say we couldn’t eat tonite as they were understaffed total joke of a place defo won’t be back at that place & wouldn’t recommend to anyone to eat there staff are so unorganized & so called management staff who couldn’t run a bath never mind a restaurant!!!!

We went to the National Hunt Benhall, it was for Sunday lunch, 31. July 2022, we go here often and it`s good but, this day the roast was the best ever, we both chose Turkey, The complete meal was perfect, especially the roasters, crisp on the outside and soft inside, my wife had a large wine and I had a cup of tea, £18 in all, you cant beat it. Thanks to Faye and the team for a good meal and great service. See you next week.

I went to the Sherwood manner. The service was fantastic food was great worth the money. Thank you to the brilliant team behind the bar and in the kitchen.

Had cause to visit the kings horse,green king pub,on Father’s Day 19th June.experience was made fantastic by the duty manager,Tracy,she was brilliant nothing was to much trouble for her,myself and the in-laws really enjoyed the meal and the day.thanks again for a great afternoon

Stayed at the Castle and Ball in Malborough Wilts. Beautiful room very clean , comfortable four poster bed. Had breakfast there evry morning lovely choice of food. I am coeliac no problems on first morning asked for gluten free toast no raised eyebrows no problems .Breakfast was wonderful . Jane who was on duty for 2 of our 3 mornings there was such a joy first thing in the morning Nothing was to much trouble and a permenant genuine smile.

We visited the Ash tree in Chatham, what a lovely clean and friendly pub. We were served by tarnya who was serving behind the bar, serving food and clearing, cleaning tables. What a pleasure. She had a smile on her face all the time. Thank you

We visited The Chestnut Tree Farm at Ipswich. The table was reserved for 4, 2 parties of 2. We ordered drinks on the application, (we was ordering separately for both couples) we would confirm the order at the same time so they came together. We placed our orders, my sister’s drinks arrived within 5 minutes, I waited for mine for around 15 minutes before I went to check. Spoke with the manager who assured me they was on the way. I returned to the table to find mine and my partners food had arrived but no drinks, then they arrived in 5 minutes.
We started eating as we didn’t want our food to go cold, my sister and her husband waited around 15 minutes for their food, again before going to ask where it was. I’d nearly finished before they got their meals. Moving on we finished the meals and I went to buy a round of drinks. At the bar the manager came across to chat (I think to check to see if I was ok after the mess that had happened) I ordered a pint, then a Bacardi, the barman asked what size, the manager interrupted me saying double, I thought how rude, or is she giving the drinks on the house, so I allowed it, I then ordered another drink, barman asked what size, the manager said double. Then it came to pay, barman stated how much, manager said nothing. I don’t take kindly to someone else spending my money.
Be aware of the poor service and the manager that practically puts her hands on your wallet.
If Green King come back to me I will update the review.

Dyce Farm - Aberdeen

Fantastic food and great service. They were out of the little baked biscuits that come with Cappacinos and swapped it out for peanuts - just a little gesture, but made all the difference.

What a lovely lunch yesterday! The food was amazing, great portion sizes & lovely friendly staff. Sarah was very attentive, really warming & welcoming & made our trip that bit more special. Highly recommend this wee pub.
