Great Prices. Bad everything else
Did my first online shop given the prices. Ordering was not easy - the app and website are just plain horrible to use. Then something which you'd expect them to have a warehouse full of was out of stock. Driver was then grumpy and rude, and didn't mention the missing item or the fact he was so far outside the delivery window. But as mentioned the prices were fantastic on branded products much more expensive everywhere else. So perhaps worth it for the occasional order.
So annoyed!
Repeatedly substitute the same items with their own brands. I try to remember to click the 'do not substitute' but if in a rush I often forget. Perfect e example is Cravendale filtered skimmed milk I order for the long use by date is substituted with Asda own brand milk with a poor use by date. This hasn't happened occasionally but every single time. I am just so annoyed! And yes I know I can refuse the substitutions (which I will be doing) but I then have to go and purchase these items elsewhere.

Terrible Asda App
Last Tuesday was my last online shop ever with Asda! Every single week I have a delivery to my address and also a delivery to my parents address, talking £150 + a week, and every single time I make amendments does the app never can take my payment, asking to delete my card details and start again! It's ridiculous! Short dated items weekly, Well no more Asda... I'm a Morrisons customer now!
5th failed/very late delivery in a row
Usual failure to deliver, no e-mail or phone call to advise, just don't show and don't answer your attempts to contact customer service team. They do however always advise post mortem that "driver had a glitch on his app" so I have been charged and they will take 48hours to process a refund and then another 7 days to pay it. My legal recourse, none little man, big industry runs the world and you people that actiually pay for everything are just worthless minions.
I spend 200-300 a month. Never again7
I spend 200 - 300 a month every month online with asda delivery, they have never once given me all what I ordered, my last order came to 56, but they only charged 42 as they didn't have most of the products I requested. 1/5 I am NEVER using asda for anything again. Extremely disappointed, instead of giving money back for milk why not just exchange it for a different milk with a close value? Same with the vapes I ordered. Rubbish.

Two stars because I've stopped ordering online shopping because you don't provide bags and it's a big deal breaker, it's really boring having to unload crates at your front door piece by piece
Through thick or Thin
Its foggy outside can't see the Runcorn Widnes bridge but our order was delivered, well on time, how he found us I'll never know! Thanks again to all concerned .I'm loving your service.I can't fault what you do for us.
Very bad customer Service and the delivery drivers was extremely rude and unprofessional
Terrible experience with ASDA delivery. The driver refused to deliver my shopping to my door and instead told me to carry it myself from his van. This is not how a delivery service works — delivery is to the customer’s door, not outside.
I am 8 months pregnant, which made this situation even more unacceptable and unsafe. When I refused, the driver chose not to deliver my order at all.
To make matters worse, the driver made an extremely unprofessional comment, saying that his boss was “stupid” for accepting my online order. Completely inappropriate behaviour from someone representing ASDA.
Despite the delivery not being completed, ASDA then refused to refund my money. I was charged for an order I never received.
This experience shows a complete lack of professionalism, duty of care, and customer respect. I would strongly advise others to think twice before using ASDA’s delivery service.
I am requesting an immediate full refund and written confirmation that this matter is being taken seriously. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will escalate the complaint further.
I expect a response without delay.
Thank you.
At best, Incompetent. At worst, dishonest
Longstanding Asda customer of several years...
- Placed a groceries delivery order using a gift card balance.
- Asda took the gift card balance and also took the same amount from my credit card (took the monies twice).
- I tried to raise the issue with Asda customer service, initially received a case number, then was ghosted by them.
- I then tried to resolve via Credit Card dispute. Asda countered my claim on the basis that the order was delivered (completely missing the point that the payment was taken twice).
At time of writing this review I'm still out of pocket.
I doubt I'll see my owed money but they wont get another penny out of me. I've cancelled any prebooked orders I had with them and have cancelled my 'delivery pass' subscription (am half-expecting they will still try and take payment for that and it will be the next problem they give me!).
Hopefully I never have to deal with them again

Asda have taken full payment before the order was finalised and 3 days before delivery date. I have cancelled order and will not be returning.
Usually late without notice
Always have more than one unavailable or substitute, a few times order has been over 30 mins late or not even turned up. Not good when you have children and waiting for before tea time food shop! Awful service

I daughter inlaw picked up a birthday cake from asda for me to have for my partners surprise as I am disabled and could not get out, whilst she was showing a video call what cakes was there, alot of the boxs was damage but the one she picked looked ok (Jazzies celebrations cake which I must add cost (£14.98) when the cake was taken out the box for my partner party we noticed it did not look right, it was leaning to one side we had not took the plastic of yet, at the bottom of the cake it look like it had caved in, there was a crack through it and looked like it was missing chunks but just iced over.
How these cakes not checked before putting out let alone be sold at full price, when we tried to complain we were told there wasn't nothing they could do as we had opened it to use it and to complain to customer services..
Sort yourself out ASDA Stevenage
My visit to ASDA Stevenage today has been the straw that broke the camel’s back.
Prices that are charged at the checkout are commonly higher than those listed on the shelves.
Today ASDA wanted to overcharge me by £1.00 on a bag of frozen chicken breast fillets and overcharged me £3.80 on a tube of O’Keefe’s Hand cream.
The cream was on offer at £5.18 and I got the last on the empty shelf.
When quizzed about the overcharge at the customer service desk, the gentleman checked ‘the system’ and said the hand cream was charged at the correct price, he was not aware of the offer. Of course that is assuming he knew of every offer in the store. He did not offer to check the shelf advertised price or ask anyone else to do so.
Also at the back end of last year, on 5 consecutive weeks, I was overcharged on Young’s frozen battered cod fillets. Being labeled £4.18 and overcharged at £6.98.
Keeping all this in mind, how much overcharging went unnoticed.
Multiply all of ASDA’s overcharges and yes, they can afford Roll Backs.
Watch what you are paying at ASDA people.
