Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 174 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently complained about poor food quality, missing items in their online grocery orders, and fresh products arriving well past their expiry dates. People also experienced deeply frustrating delivery problems, such as unannounced bagless drop-offs, severely delayed time slots, and unhelpful customer support teams refusing to assist. Some reviewers were happy with specific food items, mentioning good meat options, and appreciated polite drivers who went above and beyond. Consumers occasionally noted that certain purchases had no issues and that attentive staff members provided pleasant interactions during their store visits.

So no bags now Iceland! I expect you've gone bagless to support your inadequacy to fulfil an order. No fresh burgers, no fresh sausages, no sausage rolls- so how do I feed my kids? Your packer co... See more

Guys please be extremely careful when ordering from the Hounslow West branch. Food arrived squashed and unedible, mouldy and filled with live worms. Staff are very rude, grumpy and horrible to talk to. They're very unprofessional and don't care at all. It won't allow me to upload any pics.

DO NOT SIGN UP ONLINE

I clicked on a Facebook advert offering £20 off a £60 shop and was required to register to check delivery availability. After registering, I discovered Iceland does not deliver to my area.

I then attempted to unsubscribe from marketing communications. The emails I received contained no unsubscribe option, and I could find no way to delete my account online.

When I contacted customer services simply asking to stop receiving marketing emails, I was asked to provide my full name, billing address, email address and contact number before they would process the request.

As someone who isn’t even able to use the service because delivery isn’t available in my area, this was an incredibly frustrating experience.

Gaining my details took seconds. Trying to stop marketing communications has taken multiple emails and far more effort than it should.

Based on this experience, I would not consider using Iceland in the future and would encourage others to consider how easy it is to leave before signing up

Absolutely disgraceful company

Absolutely disgraceful company !
Left my son starving after failing to take down an address and details properly for a delivery which never turned up untill 24 hours later at £101.00 spent.
After contacting head office over the matter by dozens of phone calls and emails being promised vouchers, i was called a liar by staff ! Absolutely disgusting company who employs incompetent , rude staff, still ongoing after being ignored for over 8 weeks !
Will NEVER shop there again !

Shame on you Iceland

Everytime I have ordered, the delivery drivers have been brilliant. Timely and polite, I cannot fault them. However, bagless AND now photos?? These two changes have added on time not only for people like myself, but extra time on the workers which is unfair. Many people like myself may be in a rush and having to stand about while every driver explains the new procedure, making sure the person understands and stands in the frame etc. Others may be disabled and require more help. If the drivers are delayed, then so are your valuable customers.

If bringing back bags helps many customers, I don't understand why Iceland haven't reached out to their customers to see if the right choice was made. I mean, its 2026, a large corporation like yourselves can't figure out something more economically friendly and suitable??
Shame on you Iceland, way to put extra pressure on your staff. members.

Well ive been shopping at Iceland at Edinburgh Place cheltenham for years. And now im disabled and I use an e scooter because i have COPD And osteoarthritis of the hip and other things wrong as I'm 63 but over the last 5 weeks ive been going in the store with my scooter I turn it off before I go in and use it like a trolley and walking aid but last weekend the security guard said I had to leave it by the door because it has battery's in it so I left and following that I went there with my e scooter and done my shopping as I went in there 3 times a week and nothing was said but this weekend again the security guard said I cant bring my e scooter in the store which I told him well why have the other staff said anything where he got angry and got in my face shouting at me and ordered me out the shop on where he called me a knob and a silly old fool or something as I said he got that close to me spittle was coming out of his mouth this security guard thinks he owns the shop and everyone has to run by his rules even disabled people like myself as if you say anything to him he kicks you out of the shop but he shouldn't be working the if hes getting in customers face shouting at them its disgusting the way he treats your customers ive videoed him where hes in my face shouting at me and because of that ive gone to the local paper to highlight this problem with the security guard at Iceland Edinburgh Place Cheltenham.

Home delivery from Iceland Greenock is…

Home delivery from Iceland Greenock is a disgrace. All food is out of date or same day meaning you can't plan meals. Drivers are excellent but because we stay at the back of Greenock we are not allowed daytime slots which is wrong and we have no choice. Reported to trading standards and trying to get a hold of their area manager. Nobody has a good word to say about the Greenock manager and the shop doesn't answer the phone.

AVOID

AVOID! Iceland delivery put the crates on the pavement outside my door plus toilet paper not in crates on the dirty ground, just to take a picture. one of my items broke too. customer service is gone with iceland, you will lose more buying from them and best to move onto another delivery. Even if Tesco does bagless, atleast their customer service still exists.

Iceland should be ashamed for what they are selling, dismal inedible food, not fit for a pig.
Over priced garbage, they used to be great, must have been taken over, a lot of their meat has so little meat in it, its virtually fit for vegetarians, will never shop there again, neither are my family and friends.

Quality has plummeted

This is really a review about Iceland pies, they used to be generously filled I would cook 2 at a time, have one for my tea and take 1 to work. However the steak and gravy pie only had 2 TINY pieces of meat and a taste less gravy and the chicken balti pie I just ate had 1 cm of filing. I used to be a pub chef and if I'd served something like those pies I would have been sacked. The pies used to fill me up but now I am still hungry. Come on Iceland you used to be good value for money sadly not so much now.

Ordered and paid extra for delivery...due 4-6pm. Was half hour late which i can over look. What i cant overlook is all frozen food was missing. Tried 22 times to ring relevant branch before answered, to be told order cant be found. Then i get a refund...no other communication which takes 3-5 days...what if that had been my last bit of money? No call to ask if items still wanted, nothing. Shame on your company. After almost 10yrs of using you, never again. Btw, this is 3rd time you have messed my orders up

Sharp Practices

I went to Iceland in Cleveleys yesterday (12/05/2026) to buy some Chicago Town Stuffed Crust Loaded Pepperoni Pizza 645g, I checked the price on the website before I went, it was £3, in the store it was £5, I asked the store assistant to check the price and it was £5. I'm disgusted at the sharp practices these con artists use to get you into their store, needless to say I didn't buy anything.,

I ordered an online delivery of frozen…

I ordered an online delivery of frozen foods. The driver arrived with the goods loose in a crate. I was told Iceland no longer do plastic bags. If I had known that I would not have ordered. The crates are not hygienic, in my opinion. I asked the driver to carry into kitchen. 'Nor allowed' was the answer. As a pensioner and recently out of hospital I like my food shop to be put on the worktops for me. Ocado do this every week. I had to hurriedly find bags and pack the order into them at the door then carry them into the kitchen, on crutches. Later I realised any item in a cardboard box was covered in a fine powder. I believe the card had defrosted ( and the items inside) but it could just be the lack of hygiene in the crates. I contacted 'Customer Services' who were politely dismissive. I sent images. Still did nothing.
Upshot, having been a customer for at least 30 years I will now no longer shop at Iceland.
