Regretted paying the subscription almost immediately as it's not balanced in a way that matters.
The US' Left-Right paradigm is not what indicates balance or "fairness". Fox and CNN often spout the same lies, as do BBC, RTE, Euronews.
Balance would come from a West v East paradigm or a Global North v Global South paradigm. That would be worth paying for, especially here in Europe where RT is banned from Television.
Signed up months ago and barely used it, now I find their adverts interrupting my actual news sources.

I was watching a Mentour channel on YouTube, and become interested in the Ground News Promotion. I wanted to get pricing info, so I started into the process. I assumed that before actually billing me, they would show a cost summary. Not so. AFTER logging my payment, they finally disclosed that the fee was 60 bucks, and worse, that they had set me up for auto-renew. I am still fighting this. I succeeded in getting Snap-wise, the payment processor, to shut off auto-renew, but I still do not know if I will get my 60 bucks back. Disgusted with Ground News and the Mentour YouTube channel.

Since I have received a refund from Snap-Wise/Ground News, I have upgraded from one to three stars.

The service makes it incredibly easy to see which organizations are owned by who and where their slant comes from. I really loved the Blindspot feed which shows news items that are only reported by one political side or the other. It was very interesting and telling seeing a timeline of which news items are amplified and which are ignored by certain political leaning. It really opens your eyes to just how corrupt legacy corporate media is.

All is great and balanced mostly, but too many redundant republishing left leaning media.

The app is crashing frequently, or runs very slow and they continuously link to other news pages with ads or a paygate, with an even worse interface. It’s a good idea, but they need to curate their own news better and fix the app asap. It is far from a product worth to pay for.

Great service, especially for getting stories you might otherwise miss. Customer service was very quick and helpful as well.

As European it’s crazy to se that it’s ether Rep or Dem side. We all work across the borders of the political parties after elections and fight for the goal off the country and Europe instead of undermining the political parties.

For the same reason I eliminated Apple News. Give me (for FREE) ONE button to eliminate sports news. I don't want ANY sports news. Forever.

DONT DO IT! Every article takes you to another website so you can read them regardless of ground news. Nothing is original. It is not worth the money spent and of course, no refunds.

This turned out to be my mistake when signing up for a free trial. I was being told that GroundNews was unable to take payment from my card and I should update my card. It took 3 or 4 emails to sort. Andrea and Bethlehem were incredibly patient and persistent and always polite. A very good experience.

Ground News came as the perfect answer to my increasing concerns about information on social media. The personal control over what I wanna see is very refreshing. It’s the main place I go to be updated now.

I originally thought I'd just give the website a try, as Im an independent so none of the "left/right" political paradigm really fits in with me or my reading anyway, but now I check their app almost every day haha! It's still nice for me to he able to get a general overview of the news quickly, and from a clean and organised location, while being able to quickly see the biases of the media outlets etc., and I also really appreciate the customisable notifications. Job well done.

Somehow I have double charges from Ground.news. I've sent screenshots to their customer service from my bank account and have yet to get this resolved. This is very frustrating. Unless this gets resolved soon, I'm going to report them for fraud.

I rely on Ground News to keep me informed about issues I may not otherwise have seen in ‘traditional” media. It regularly happens that I learn about an issue on Ground News 2 days before it shows up in other online and traditional news sources. In addition, making the original reporting from across the spectrum available for drill-down empowers the reader to go as deep as they want It’s an incredible amount of information, packaged for easy consumption.

Yuck!!! It's unusable, at least for me. I'm running Windows 11 and I use Firefox as a browser. Whenever I activate the Ground News application and it gets down to doing what it does (which I LIKE!!!, except...), it takes over all my system's run time operations. I don't think it's a malicious activity and my system's not showing and viruses. It's probably just a malfunction between Ground and FF. In any case, my computer completely becomes a piece of lead sitting on my desk.
I've reported this a couple/three months ago and they said they'd try to address it in the next roll-out but, if it doesn't come by June (my subscription renewal date), I'm at a spot where it's money thrown away.
I'm really being straight here, I love!!!!! the concept and it works just what I want when I've turned off the app and just access the website. But I'm not able to continue this way.
Anyway, I wish them good luck but June's just below the horizon and, when it does get here and there's been no fix, I gotta let go. And I'm gonna hate that.
