DO NOT USE The Grounds Guys McHenry for snow removal. Service was terrible, late and destructive. Operators ignore driveway stakes and simply drive over the yard . EXTREMELY careless!

I don't even use them buy my neighbor…
I don't even use them but my neighbor does and all they do is blow everything into my yard instead of actually taking care of leaves and clippings
Do not use these ppl
Do not use these ppl. Had an appt, they showed up and never rung the doorbell. Hung around my driveway (caught on camera) walked around with leaf blowers blowing dirt around my driveway. Never removed the weeds because the back yard is what was needed not the front. Got no phone call no text than they left.
They never did the job that I asked for. Do not use these scammers, they are on camera so I will not be paying for the 2 hrs they stood around and blew dirt around my driveway.
Highly recommend these guys!
JC and his crew were wonderful to work with. They care about their work and customer satisfaction. Their attention to detail and working with us through the process proved to us we went with the right company for our full front yard landscaping job! Highly recommend JC for anything you need done!

Contracted the Ground Guys in Cumming…
Contracted the Ground Guys in Cumming Ga to replace my front lawn with new zoysia sod. They appeared at first to be nice folks and do a good job. I was told to let the root system develop and not to fertilize or use herbicides until the sod took hold. Now $4000 later I have a lawn of weeds and dead sod. It is terrible. Its 100 times worse than the sod I replaced.
Grounds Guys and the sod supplier blame me or they say it will resolve itself over time, right, dead sod will resolve itself .
Their 'Neighborly Warranty' is worthless. They provided no resolution to the problem and I'm stuck with a lawn of weeds. I do not recommend these folks.
Do not hire The Lawn Guys of Tarpon Springs
Signed up with The Ground Guys of Tarpon Spring in February 2024. The explanation of what would be done in the yard was just what we were looking for in a service. We thought the price was fair but not at all inexpensive ($196 a month), but you get what you pay for right? Well, it's now April 30 and what a difference 3 months makes. They have gone from doing what they said to a mow and blow operation. I asked 4 weeks in a row to weed whip the growth under the palm and you can see from the pictures what a great job they have done. Additionally, we hired them to landscape the front of the home. The Standard for mulch is 2 to 3 inches to prevent weed growth. For a $2300 job we got maybe 3/4 of an inch. When I spoke with Lance, he offered to discount the labor for a job that was not done right in the first place. I guess that's what I get for trusting.
Unskilled laborers with a high cost.
The reasons for my three-star review are: employees are young and not really trained. They do a superb job blowing "yard trash" out of sight. Their pruning and trimming skills are questionable, so beware. They cut my beautiful evergreen 5' tall Giant Chain Ferns to the ground in December! It will take years to come back. There is a high degree of communication necessary if you want your property to be taken care of properly. The weed eating is inadequate, with many places simply ignored. The other reason is the cost. I was with this company for 9 months and after doing the math was shocked to find the cost per hour per man was $71 which is approximately $21 more per hour than the average in this area. The employees were polite (with a high turnover), on time, and management was responsive. If you have a small front and backyard without any prized landscaping, I would say, go for it. Anything over that, not so sure. Overall, I would say that my property never looked like a professional landscape maintenance company was taking care of it. My advice is to pay by the hour somewhere else.
Lawn Rejuvenation
I contacted the Grounds Guys of South Surrey for a quotation to level and rejuvenate my front lawn. They responded almost immediately, did an on-site evaluation of the existing lawn, and provided me with a firm quotation that was considerably less that the other contractors I had previously contacted. Mr. Ghuman met me and explained in detail all of the stages of the lawn replacement process. When they arrived on-site to complete the job, they were courteous, professional, and through in the preparation, installation, and clean-up process. Within 10 days of seeding, I began to see clear evidence of grass germination over the entire area. I cannot speak highly enough about the Grounds Guys of South Surrey, and I've already spoke to them about rejuvenating the back lawn next year” Keith B.
WARNING!!!
WARNING!!!! CONTRACT REQUIRED FOR RESIDENTIAL LAWN SERVICE. This is the first time I have EVER HEARD of a contract being required for lawn service with not out for the customer with dissatisfaction for any reason. I feel that there are way too many other options to use for residential lawn service that don't require this.
Horrible first impression
I’ve been trying to reach these guys for a few weeks now and I have not gotten a call back and email a text message. Absolutely nothing. Since this is how they’re starting my relationship, I am ending it before. It really gets started first impressions are lasting ones.
Incompetent employees
Incompetent employees, drug addicts, slavedriver company that only cares about profit margin. Hastings, FL
Stay far away from this company.
Bad attitudes/ road rage
This morning I was driving my kids to school in vaughan. I had one of these guys, long brown hair tail gating me in 60 zone that has speed cameras. All other lanes were clear. As soon I switched lanes to make a turn he flipped me the finger as my kids watched his actions the whole time. Don’t drive around in your company vehicles showing road rage and expect any business.
They need to teach their people how to…
They need to teach their people how to drive. Had one get on 95 and almost take out the front end of my truck because they didn't understand how to properly merge. Law clearly states when merging onto a road the traffic already on the roadway has the right of way.

The Grants Pass Irrigation team/work…
The Grants Pass Irrigation team/work force is the best and fast. My lawn was dying from the lack of rain and heat, with myself unable to run the sprinkler system at my house due to a faulty valve control unit. The team quickly fixed my unit when I cried out for help, even working at the end of the day to solve this problem. Back in operation, the sprinklers worked fine just in time for 93F weather!
Grounds Guys Barrie provided AWFUL…
Grounds Guys Barrie provided AWFUL service
There have been multiple issues with their services. They have included major problems with:
Communication.
Delays with service; crew showed up in late June to do spring cleanup, end of July to lay sod.
Failure to provide services promised, like using a mower with a bagger to catch grass clippings.
The mess they made and left while doing the fall leaf clean up. Blowing large pine bark chip mulch out of flowerbeds and leaving them across the lawn. Had to do some of the tasks ourself as no one showed up; like the spring clean up and part of the fall cleanup (removing annuals, cutting back perennials and some of the leaf clean up.
I have never had such a awful experience with any company I have used.
DO NOT USE The Grounds Guys of Cedar…
DO NOT USE The Grounds Guys of Cedar Creek Lake. Warranty is useless and their contract allows them to damage your property without any responsibility to fix. Severely cracked drive, cut Wi-Fi/telephone line, broke sewer line, and damaged A//C condenser. Job left unfinished and had to hire a new landscaper to correct and complete.
A case of take-the-money and run?
One star because one has to be selected to leave a review.
In mid-2020, the Grounds Guys of Edmond installed a nice lawn and sprinkler system for a reasonable cost. They came out in full force and installed the lawn, flower beds, and sprinkler system. It looked good.
In late 2021, the lawn eventually died and the sprinklers needed adjustment. I tried to reschedule a seed, fertilizer, and sprinkler adjustment but was consistently told to call back during the "next season" as it wasn't a good time. As a loyal customer, I tried over a half dozen times, each time being asked to call back "next season". The lawn is now dead and the sprinklers out of control.
I called today as instructed last time. I was told that Norman isn't in their service area. I asked for recommendations and the assistant said they had none. No other explanations were offered for the service refusal or why they kept saying call back "next season".
Was this a case of take-the-money and run? I guess a phone call to the franchise headquarters will sort this out.
