‼️ BEWARE OF GROUPON SPA DEALS ‼️

Terrible experience with both Groupon and Bannatyne Health Club. The vouchers were falsely advertised as redeemable at certain locations, including Colchester, only for us to find out after purchase that this wasn’t true.

Every step of the way, both companies were unhelpful, evasive, and slow to respond. Despite providing clear evidence of misrepresentation, neither took any responsibility or offered a meaningful resolution.

In the middle of the dispute, they even secretly acknowledged their wrongdoing by altering the receipts in the URL links to not showcase this location anymore. Luckily we had hard copies at the time of the purchase to call out the sneaky behaviour.

Fortunately, our bank intervened and refunded the payment, but it should never have come to that.

Groupon and Bannatyne are quick to take your money, but not to fix their mistakes. Save yourself the frustration and spend your time and money with a company that actually values its customers.

So many things went wrong with our booking from start to finish.
1. I booked a 12 seater van at the Greenwood office. To be told it was booked at the Welshpool office. Luckily I personally checked before trip commenced otherwise this would have delayed the start of our trip.
2. Not told of $1000 bond.
3. Signed Contract not emailed through as promised.
4. Child anchor points not found. Couldn’t get through to office to find them. Hence, we then had to take separate vehicles after journey commenced to pick family up who were to travel in the bus.
4. No manual in hired vehicle to find them.
5. No manual meant we couldn’t find release latch to fuel tank to refuel. Luckily we found someone who did.
6. Over charged on kilometres that weren’t used on the trip by mistake and funds taken out the account without email or notice.
Overall, very disappointed.

Excellent facilities and service . The complimentary Devonshire tea is a fitting end to a very indulgent experience

As long as you read the fine print and make sure you understand exactly what’s included in your deal, then you shouldn’t have any issues.

Not the best customer support, but its groupon

Never use Groupon. Yes, you can make a good deal. However, when you have dispute with merchant, they can help you nothing. The merchant said, "you need to ask Groupon for refund, it is not our business". When you ask Groupon, they said, " please deal with the merchant. It's merchant's decision".

You can get better deal with the vendor directly

Fine print changed after purchase shorting the expiry date but only changed the date in the fine print not at the top. So I have a voucher that clearly shows expiry 20/09/2025 when looking at the voucher too bad the business is no longer trading. So be warned what you buy and agree to when purchasing can be changed to favour Groupon walking away with your money. SCAMMERS

I have made a few Groupon purchases over the years. The transactions have always been easy and the prices have been excellent.

Bought a coupon from a company that shared the exact same name as the one I was googling when the groupon ad showed up. Turns out it was a different company. The company on groupon said I could get a refund but groupon wouldn't do it

Got charged more for massage because it was a Saturday. Why was I allowed to book on that day. Then when refund requested got told they would seek advice from their lawyers!! WTF!!

Nice lady done the glycol peel for me. Adding on sale happened but with no pushing on it when I have been asked about the hydrating mask after the peel. Gave me lovely advice paying attention to my budget when I asked her about the dark spots on my face and the belly fat. I loved the experience. Definitely, I am coming back.

I think the staff are lovely and the results speak for themselves

Customer service does not help out and support the customer properly. No sympathy and all they follow is the script that they have on hand. Dont use this app.
