After just 3.5 years our grundig (beko)fridge stopped working, it had rusted inside with the red dust leaking into the fridge. After many attempts to call grundig, average time waiting at least 20 minutes, we were told to call domestic and general. One of their engineers called on 15th October and was horrified at the damage, took photos to go with his report. He was unable to repair the fridge. They won't help any further.
We have been passed from grundig to d and g, neither of them will take any responsibility. I think they just hope we will get fed up and go away.
I even wrote direct to their MD, Teresa Arbuckle, not even the courtesy of a reply.
We have a 'customer service'! no 264267353. For the last 6 days we have had an automated message saying 'our message is still under investigation, a response should be issued today'

I phoned again today, 2nd November, to see if there was anyone who could help with our problem. I explained to the customer service person I had a problem with my hearing, could he speak a little slower, so instead of helping he rang off.
I think this just about sums up grundig's customer service. They are not interested once you have bought their appliances. Never again

Having bought a Grundig Fridge with…

Having bought a Grundig Fridge with biofresh we now find that it is rusting at the back and leaking rusty water into the fridge compartment. Obviously this is not satisfactory and I have been attempting to contact the so called 'Customer Service' department since 8th of this month and it is now 26th. My first attempt was by phone and having been left waiting for 25 minutes, which was no doubt costing me money I decided to give up and email. I have received an automated message every day telling me that my query will be addressed today or tomorrow....every day since. I have had one communication from a 'service advisor' requesting information I had already given and nothing since. Say no more!!!!! My ref number is: 263874840

Grundig are rubbish customer services…

Grundig are rubbish customer services after sales service diablogical I brought a washer dryer of them from curry’s and I need a new rubber seal and they are saying can’t get the part for it it’s obsolete why produce a washer that you can’t get the parts for this washer dryer is 6 months old don’t buy from grundig I never would again

Again another bad review for Grundig!

Again another bad review for Grundig! I have a Tumble dryer, not a year old. It doesn’t finish the cycle properly. I’ve had 3 engineers come out to guess at what parts to replace as they seem to have no clue. The third man even replaced the same thing the first man replace 2 weeks before! Finally they have replaced all the parts that could possibly be replaced and still not working! I rang back to put in a complaint, they said it had been escalated and I would receive a phone call within 24 hours with an outcome. It’s now 4 days later and still no reply. I have. 5 year guarantee with them- what they need to do is replace the tumble dryer!!! Absolute joke of a company and would strongly recommend that no one buys there products! Very dissatisfied, disappointed angry and upset 😡 I won’t stop making people aware of this poor service of a company, any social media platform I will make that this is known! I want this rectifying! I’m not asking for my money back (although I should) I just want a new working tumble dryer!

Sick of ringing I bought a fridge…

Sick of ringing I bought a fridge freezer 14 months ago took out cover for it now the lights dont work and the display is blank I rang currys who I pay the cover to only to be told I have to ring Grundig well good luck with that one five times I've rang for an hour at a time no joy finally got through only to be told to send proof of purchase then ring back what a joke I'm sure the lady sniggered on the phone when when I asked her if that was right never again will I purchase grundig what a shambles of a company reading all these reviews I dont think they care

Avoid Grundig Products

We purchased a Grunpig fridge freezer 11 month a year ago and it has started making a squealing noise and defrosting itself. The issue has since righted itself. To be safe we called Grundig and were made to wait 45 minutes for an operative to answer. She told us that there would be a call out charge of £55 if the engineer found no manufacturers fault. We asked for her advice as it has a fault though is presently working okay. She repeated the same thing. When we mentioned the 45 minute wait she simply repeated her response. Poor support, faulty products, pointless guarantee, lousy service. Please take heed of these reviews and invest in a trustworthy brand. I wish we had.

DO NOT BUY GRUNDIG DISHWASHER = CHEAP…

DO NOT BUY GRUNDIG DISHWASHER = CHEAP CRAP .Grundig slimline dishwasher from curry’s
Model gsf41820 b.
This item was all twisted and manufactured with VERY SHARP EDGES which my wife CUT HER HAND OPEN on within 2hours of installation,
We contacted Grundig/beko who said send all pictures to them, which we did, -they then sent an email with no call to let us know what was happening despite being told we would get a call - the email basically said go to curry’s and tell them the manufacturer authorises a replacement item,

***** no apologies for the injury caused by there product to my wife.
2**** No apologies for inconvenience of having to now go back to curry’s to sort it all out myself/
3*** no apologies for now having to get a second dishwasher installed as they wouldn’t pay the installation cost
4*** no apologies for having to wait in and loose another days pay waiting for curry’s to deliver another one,
5**** customer service advisors are very blunt and no customer service skills asking why I am calling and what I want..
==== fobbed-off at all angles...
NO QUALITY CONTROL CLEARLY WITHIN THE COMPANY .
* please stay away from this brand *

Grundig 10kg washing machine

Early days yet but just bought a Grundig 10kg capacity washing machine at a great price from Curry's.
So far very impressed especially with the 40c 40 min quick wash
Seems to be a very quite well made machine...more than a match for the old Bosch that it replaced!
Great delivery and collection service from Curry's.

Intense suction on fridge freezer door - no service support from Grundig.

Purchased fridge freezer in April. Fridge door very difficult to open due to intense suction. At times, have to hold rear of appliance while tugging with all my force to open door. Put up with this for 4 months, problem became more frequent.
Finally, contacted Grundig service support to get something done about it. Told there was nothing wrong, the fridge freezers are meant to have such suction, when this happens wait a minute to try to open the door again.
I said, I would not have bought the fridge had I known, was given a cock and bull response that the reason for the intense suction is quite normal but, in time, will improve. I have waited 4 months, getting worse. Official said if they send an engineer to inspect, they will have to charge a call out fee because there is no fault. Terrible service or lack of, would never buy another Grundig/Beko product ever again.

Customer service is absolutely…

Customer service is absolutely terrible, a £700 dishwasher broke down after 10 months, engineer arranged, waited home all day noone came, chased Grundig all day to only be told they dont know what happened. No manager available to talk to in a call center. Noone cares.

It is a bad company DON t waste your money i bought a dishwasher 2 months ago and not working now and booked AN engineer via grundig but no body came whole day waiting for him totally waste of money please don't buy it THEY have a cheap labours!!!!bad..

Is the 5th or 6th time for the same…

Is the 5th or 6th time for the same problem with my washing machine from Grundig. The problem is not solved. I advise everyone avoid this company. I wasted my time with them. I have 3 kids ...imagine my washing machine not working for days or a week...nightmare. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Now I can see why they have 1 star rating.

Terrible Service, Do Not Bother buying

UPDATE (to add a bit of advice): if your product is truly beyond repair they will not consider replacing it until 3 of their official Grundig engineers have been out to work on it as opposed to their outsourced ones, naturally the first 4 engineers they sent out were outsourced so the following 3 engineers basically re-installed the same parts that did not fix the machine the first time. Additionally they won’t send out the next engineer or issue a replacement until the previous one has submitted his report. For several of the engineers the report was not submitted until we chased 2-4 times each. Get used to ringing customer service loads and clearing your schedule with little notice and hopefully you can get your issue resolved.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Will never purchase a Grundig or Beko product again. We had our washer for 2 years before it began having intermittent issues. “Oh well, good thing we have a warranty!” we thought. Well it’s been over a month and 5 appointments later and it still isn’t repaired (and after the 2nd person came out the washer stopped working entirely) and they will not replace it. Each repairman who comes out seems to have no clue what the previous person has done or why they’ve ordered the parts they have. On top of that the repairmen have been sent faulty items, never received the replacement part ordered, or even received an empty box from the manufacturers. The service has been truly appalling at all levels and I’m wondering if we may as well just buy a new unit rather than taking time off work to wait around all day for what consistently ends up being an unsuccessful repair. Poor communication, poor service, poor product.

NEVER buy a Grindg appliance

We have a Grundig GSN10710DW which has been OK but recently brown sludge started coming into the bottom of the fridge from behind the rear panel of the fridge itself. I removed the rear panel to find that the cooling coils were totally corroded and were covered in brown frozen sludge. This had been dripping down behind the rear panel and had blocked the drain hole to the evaporation tray. It was disgusting! Shame I can't post photos on here as you would be shocked that this could happen in a device for storing food! So I called Grundig support and I have to say it was probably one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had! The advisor was totally disinterested in the problem. Then proceeded to tell me that it didn't sound like a fault with the fridge and to get an engineer out to look at it would cost £55 if it turned out that the fridge was not faulty! I'm really unhappy as this fridge was £500 and its only lasted 4 years! The attitude of this company towards their customer beggars belief!

I bought a fridge freezer back in July…

I bought a fridge freezer back in July from Currys. Currys assured me that it was suitable to site in my garage. I have put up with the fridge section freezing the contents and remaining frozen for many days. I can't use it for fear it will freeze the contents again. Apparently, I am now told by a Grundig engineer over the phone that it will not work efficiently at -5 degrees or lower temperature. What good is that! I bought a high and low thermometer and could not see that it was ever at freezing temperature in the garage. I was also told that I would be charged a call out fee if they came out and found no fault. The appliance is currently working correctly. For how long? I will never buy another Grundig appliance.

RUBBISH PURCHASE STOLE MY MONEY

I bought a dishwasher from currys in March 2018, we noticed that the chrome on the control panel is wearing away, tried contacting them all they say is will send an engineer no engineer arrives so you chase and then they say domestic and general have decided its wear and tear, I don't think so come on GRUNDIG get your act together a £400 dishwasher should last more thst 10 months,!!! Customer service is a joke, never call back and rude. Feel let down and ripped off

Avoid at all costs.

We have bought three appliences made by Grundig.
Within a couple of months the washing machine caught fire. Fortunately our son was in the room when it happened and switched it off before it became a major incident. Grundig replace a component and say that it is totally safe. It was supposedly totally safe when we bought it. We now do not dare to run the washing machine unless we are there to keep an eye on it. grundig do not want to know.
The tumble dryer we bought has never properly dried clothes. Shortly after getting it it chewed an item of clothing causing a toggle to get stuck in the drum. The engineer who came to sort it said, and wrote on the paperwork, that it was a common manufacturing fault as the seals were not attached properly thus exposing sharp edges. Grundig said that they wanted to charge us for this callout as they said it was user error.
We are now waiting for a second engineer to come out to see if it is still faulty as we have complained that it does nopt, and never has, properly dried clothes.
The third appliance is a fridge freezer that currently is working OK.

Our general experience is extremely bad and we would advise anyone considering buying this brand, or any brand associated with them, to avoid like the plague.

DON'T BUY A GRUNDIG PRODUCT

I reported a fault with mine on the 1st of December I have supplied them with photos of receipts telephone numbers all the info I can find but are we any closer to a resolution no I can't see why they can't send an engineer to inspect the appliance and gleam any out standing Intel of his visit they have a serious avoidance of responsibility BUY ONE AT YOUR PERIL

I shall remind grundig that they have a duty of care to the customer therefore aware that if an incident arises the responsibility is yours grundig

But why does currys still sell these if customers svcs from grundig is this bad
