I had Lee for 3 years through Year 11 to Year 13 and he has been a major help from improving my Maths ability. He helped build my confidence in a relaxed and collaborative environment with the sessions being led mostly by what I wanted to cover. I felt I could ask any questions no matter how trivial or silly they initially seemed and I was always met with an insightful and tailored response to my exact issue. Lee is punctual and very reliable with no last minute cancellations. He gives suggested work to complete between sessions aimed at your weaker areas so be prepared to put the work in to make the most of this incredible tutor. He helped me get an A* in Maths and aided me in getting into my chosen university.

Mr Guffick is a very interactive and engaging tutor. He provides appropriate detail to any questions asked and asks each member of the study session to contribute towards finding a solution.

My son had Lee as a Maths tutor for part of Year 13, these are his words:

"Lee is an amazing tutor, as someone who had missed a large amount of time in school, I had lost confidence in my Maths but every time I had a session with Lee, either in a group or a one-to-one call, I always left the session feeling more confident.

My grades improved dramatically whilst I was with Lee; his teaching style was always helpful and tested my understanding of topics across the Maths syllabus, but I never felt under unfair pressure if asked a question. Lee always checked if everyone was OK with the questions we did and if someone had made a mistake, he would talk with them directly to make sure they fully understood the correct method to use"

As his Mum I would add that I wish I'd got Lee onboard sooner. My son often said that Lee explained things in a way that other teachers hadn't and there were very many lightbulb moments. My son has gone from struggling with A Level Maths to loving it.

- At the best of times, for most people Maths is a mental block, let alone taking on A-level maths. Your input with my son made a significant positive impact for his understanding of: (a) what he can achieve in maths, and (b) the realisation that it is not beyond his grasp.
- His confidence in- and grasp of the subject improved in leaps and bounds; this is pertinent, considering that his previous application and understanding in his Year 12 work was below par (i.e. before you started tutoring him).
- I know that you went through copious amounts of technical matter, mock and practice papers with him. Kudos to you for all the time (and more) that you put in with him, right up to yesterday morning (before his afternoon exam).
- I would like to register my endless appreciation for your assistance with improving his understanding of this subject and his new found belief in taking on this key exam milestone.

​Mr. Lee has worked with my daughter for the past two years of her A Level Mathematics. Knowing that she is going to meet with Lee each week has been a comfort. In two years of tutoring Lee was always on time and never once had to reschedule, he is extremely reliable. He also accommodates us if we needed extra time such as with finals. Lee is very familiar with the high school math curriculum, patient. Lee is an amazing math tutor. He is very patient and kind and works with you until you understand the concepts. Over and above proactively Lee updated me on the actual situation with my daughter and where she needs to put additional efforts. Lee always provided my daughter with subject materials and relevance of tackling exams with confidence.

Lee is professional, extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about maths. He explains the concepts well and my son Sinan is actually looking forward to his tutorials in preparation for his A levels. Overall, we are very pleased and would highly recommend.

I had Lee for over 2 years and he has helped me with my maths tremendously. He has methods for difficult topics such as differentiation that you don’t see anywhere else that led to me finding difficult topics easy and I would highly recommend him

Lee Guffick has been an absolute inspiration to our son. Having achieved fantastic results in GCSE Maths and Further Maths, he lost his way with Sixth Form A Level Maths. Lee's knowledge, patience and concise way of teaching re-energised our sons confidence, understanding and ability to achieve higher results.
