I wonder if you can tell me why you dig up the same road time and time again!!
Simple answer you don’t repair it properly the first time, am I surprised not really it happens time after time!! What a waste of tax payers money I’m not surprised councils are skint !!

When contacting Guilford County Court, Georgie took personal ownership of a request to reseal an order to complete a divorce, this was deeply appreciated and turned the request around in 24 hours.

It took 9 steps to pay council tax online. Whoever designed this crap website on taxpayer's expense, their performance should be reviewed. This proves why we don't need so many council workers.

I am constantly harrassed by the guildford city council. council tax was paid, but still there is a red alert on my account threatening to take me to the debt recovery.
i contacted the council online and by emails,back and forth, issue still not resolved. the most recent reply was from a staff called Faiza who asked for my council tax number which had been provided multiple times.
let's see if these useful council workers will be replaced by AI in the years to come.

Even one star is way too generous. The planning department is run by the same type of ppl Jeremy Clarkson has referred to in his farm series. Starts with M. Simple planning application (with approved pre-planning so all the write up has been done) for a 4m2 extension.. 5weeks late with decision and counting. Emails remain unanswered/ignored. We pay £4,500 a year on council tax and for what?!!! What do they do there?! Absolute shambles (and we can’t sell our house until this is resolved - the planning department needs a judicial review). If I ignored my clients this way at my work (private company) I would be fired ages ago

I repeatedly reported fly tipping around Ash especially on the carpark accross the Curzon it's a hotspot, people keep dumping car, green waste, black bags off the carpark onto the path back turning your back to the Curzon, on the path on the right I found some professional fly tipping I reported took some pictures gave them directions and nothing so I went back cut the bush dragged everything bagged half took another picture send it and STILL nothing, I have long covid, breathing difficulties and took me 2 days to recover 😡

Another year of them not collecting of our garden bin. Even when you report the missed collection, they don’t bother to collect it and the phone lines you cannot get through to anyone. So much fly tipping in my local area dumped daily.

No one is there to pick up the call, when they do, they ask you to write to them which is only possible via the Guildford council portal, and it does not allow you to have a statement of what has been submitted sent back to your own email. leaving it no way to chase any issues. completely appalling.

Recycling is a farce!

I put two batteries in a transparent bag and placed them on top of my bin. On collection day, a dustman picked up the bag, looked at it, and threw it straight in my recycling bin which was then emptied on the back of their lorry.

Surrey County Council upping all their charges yet services and road tarmac worse than ever! Multiple damage to my car because of unhealthy state of their roads.

Guildford Borough Council's systems and service are just shockingly poor. They cannot do the very basics of allocating your monthly payment to your bill, let alone stop charging you for a property you no longer rent. Try get a statement off their website that even makes sense! Extremely backward.

Absolutely horrific non-service level, from failing to answer the 'phone right through everything they do. Horrified to find a house replacing a bungalow overlooking several neighbours and destroying privacy - no-one given any notice whatsoever. Turned out the "case worker" was away on maternity leave, and nothing got sent out. Our home now ruined, along with all others, with noting but their rude and obstructive culture along the way. GBC failed to react to complaint in any way whatsoever. Planning apparently being put into special measures. Long overdue. Utterly appalling Council massively failing it's resident tax-payers.

Abysmal “Service”. Guildford Borough Planning department offers the worst service I have ever come across in any government sector. This is a complete waste of taxpayers hard earned money. This really is a NON-SERVICE, with a complete inability to communicate, or provide any form of coherent or professional planning advice or cooperative feedback during the planning application process. My overpriced planning application took 6 months to determine (quoted as 8 weeks) and was apparently outsourced during this time. Important information was not sent to me, despite being told it had been months later. The final report was riddled with errors. Multiple deadlines were missed and no reasons or apologies were given. It’s a shame they are not held accountable for such a disgraceful quality of service. I was eventually sent an email a year after my original application with some very poor excuses regarding staff shortage and high staff turnover in the Guildford Borough Planning department, but this does not excuse the experience I have had. It goes without saying that refunds are not provided and that complaints at Guildford Borough just do not respond to communication either. Avoid this department if you have that option. If you have to deal with Guildford Borough Council Planning department, do not expect anything positive and good luck, you really will need it.
