This is in relation to the 'automat' (whatever that may be!) self service fuel station: Winchcombe, Broadway Road., Glos., GL54 - an outfit which appears to be under 'GULF'!
There used to be a manned counter - now gone some years ago. It's all 'sort it for yourself' and that's even if there is ANY FUEL AVAILABLE!
Not one pump was in service on this day; this can be concerning if running a little low - as the nearest alternative is at the busy Texaco, Teddington Hands, Glos. I don't usually go to this Winchcombe station - preferring Sainsbury's, who I was unable to use the day before- as there as there was a huge tanker there replenishing their fuel supplies. Fair enough.
I was on this occasion- 29th Sept. 'running low' - to find NO FUEL AT ALL AVAILABLE at the Winchcombe 'Gulf'!
It seems to be generally 'pot luck' as to whether there will be any fuel - either diesel or petrol. I intend to avoid this facility in future.
