I requested a new valuation metric and gurufocus delivered it. Great product and company
I asked you questions overseas that English may not be smooth enough, but quick and kind answers helped a lot.
I subscribed to GuruFocus before the pandemic, and spent quite a lot of time learning from it. If you've ever traveled to a place where you keep discovering new things, the site is that kind of experience. Little by little I have grown more confident in my own investment strategy, because the site encourages the user to consider investing through the eyes of the best of the best (gurus, i.e. Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger, Joel Greenblatt, Jim Simmons, Cathie Wood, etc..). I love that it wasn't created by a finance person, but rather a research person. It shows. The price might seem steep on first glance, but the continued knowledge it has provided has more than made up for the cost. Love this site! It's worth at least a trial for those interested in investing.
i had a question about a measurement(stock volatility) that you display on the site, i got in less than 3 min a perfect response with all what i need to proceed with my research
This is by far the best investment site for retail investors who don't have a Bloomberg Terminal. I can honestly say that Gurufocus is a big reason I was able to get to financial independence. Some of the standout features is incredible amount of financial data which can be analyzed in an easy format. The interactive chart feature is incredible and stock screener is the best on the web. The price is very reasonable for the value you are getting. GuruFocus regularly releases new features and recently they have released a discussion's forum where users can interact with each other and exchange information.
Very cooperative Team. Listen to customer issues carefully and take necessary action. Very useful product features.
Analytics are amazing and the ways to customize screeners are amazing. They are constantly adding new stuff and have created plugins and APIs that can fully automate the data they provide to you own models. It’s all real data you can actually use. Highly recommend.
Scanners and articles are second to none. Couldn't recommend highly enough to the serious investor.
There are so many limitations that they don't advertise.
So you expect to get access to the gurus when you buy the premium subscription? Yes, you get access to less than 3% of the gurus on their platform. You need plus subscription to access the rest.
You might be expecting to be able to use the custom filters? Guess what, you can use them very little before that function is being blocked and you have to pay for the plus subscription.
Premium feels more like a trial mode, that you can play around with a little before you buy the plus subscription.
The plus subscription has a quite substantial price tag. If you want the plus subscription for the whole world, it's USD 3000. This means you have to at least increase your performance 3000 USD per year with this service for it to be worthwhile. Realistically speaking most people will not be able to do this with less than 100.000 USD invested.
So this is why you might end up with a premium (trial) subscription and limited regions, only to be frustrated about the limitations.
Also be aware that the All-in-One screener has a lot of fields, but you can quickly end up filtering out companies simply because they don't have the data. As an example they seem mostly to be able to filter on insider trading in the US, not so much the rest of the world, even though these data are freely available on other platforms.

Update 29th May 2021
I have to revise my review a bit, so I up the stars a notch to three stars. They do deliver a lot of valuable content for the Premium subscribers, but the above critique is still relevant.
