One word suffices to express our experience with Maria Emilia: SUPERB!!
Maria is an excellent guide; very knowledgeable of the history and culture of Bologna and the region, and very well informed about modern day life in that city. She is punctual, organized and a good communicator.
After our tour with Maria, my wife and I are in love with the beautiful porticoed city of Bologna. We already look forward to another visit.

A wonderful tour of Venice, Our guide, Ragyda, did a fantastic job of showing all around 5 of the 6 districts of Venice and explaining interesting facts about the history and architecture. She was knowledgable and well-versed in the area, but also was kind, warm and engaging. She was a pleasure to share time with.

Guide was prompt, really knowledgeable gave us lots of information on the history of Palermo and lots of helpful tips on lots more to do in the city he also had many photos of old Palermo which was a bonus

Alexandra was a lovely guide and we really enjoyed our walk around Thessaloniki. We had never been before and asked to see the main historical/cultural sites, which she showed us, and then we had a wander around the (shaded) market area, stopping to taste some local olives and tapenade, which was an unexpected treat!

We really enjoyed the tour. Aurelio was a great guide - very knowledgeable and informative and with good English.

All went well, from booking to allocating the right travel guide until asking for my travel experience afterwards.

Lisa was very punctual. She contacted us ahead of our meeting to know the details of our group, which was great because we had a 10 and 4 year-old boys.
She was really easy going and really interested in our enjoyment. We strolled through the highlights of Vienna and made a stop at the rose gardens near the Hofburg which was beautiful.
We ended up having great drinks and cake at Sacher hotel at the Blue Room.

I am a tourguide. Although they mention that they select tourguides carefully, they randomly request them. I’ve just received a request for a tour in 24h.

I’ve never worked for them and they don’t know the quality of my work. Additionally they told me I would know my compensation only once I agree to my availability. Terrible supplier management.

The good reviews are due to the guides that agree to work for them not the company themselves.

Unfortunately many platforms use this system nowadays. The confirm the tour before actually finding a guide.

Emanuela, our guide in Verona, was very engaging! She was prompt, exacting, & earnest. Since rain started to pour as we began the tour, she would make strategic stops to show us some hidden gems & discuss Verona's history. She has lived in different countries, learned their languages & culture that she was able to impart a broader appreciation of Verona. We left Verona with a new friend, who has gone beyond what we had expected. As our hotel staff wasn't too helpful, Emanuela painstakingly booked our transfer from the hotel to the train station. Verona is a beautiful city, made more lovely by our new friend, Emanuela.

Marion, you clearly must have read but consciously chosen to ignore my messages or make any attempt to address the issue … it’s absolutely ridiculous!

A refund is the LEAST that I would have expect. It’s not sufficient! Your guide lied to us and put us in a position where we had to pay a penalty that was 4 times the cost of the tour itself.

Guideez Travel SL (listed on at least two travel platforms) is deceiving the customers - we certainly were.

For everyone’s reference and caution (which I will make sure gets known on every travel platform as widely as possible!), we bought “Warsaw : Must-See Walking Tour With A Guide" - here’s a list of the problems we faced with the guide who met us:

1. He turned out to be a foreign student from Zimbabwe; it wasn’t clear whether he even had a work permit.

2. He had only been in the country for 2 yrs and knew NOTHING about Warsaw or its history!

3. He could not answer any of our questions, was constantly looking at his phone to find directions, repeatedly checking the internet for descriptions of the places that we passed, and had clearly no idea of the background or significance of the monuments.

4. In spite of having agreed with this activity provider and with the guide when and where we wanted the walking tour to end, it turned out that we were some miles away from it at that time - he made us get on a tram to reach the destination.

5. The guide told us that he had our tram tickets on his phone - little did we know that he had lied. He told us later that “the tickets were in fact still downloading on his phone when two ticket-checkers asked him for our tickets.” He tried to give them some excuse about their system being slow, etc., but they did not accept any reason - asking us to show our documents and asking him for full payment (as he was our guide) for the fares and a significant penalty (it was roughly 4x the price we had paid for the tour itself!!) Of course, he did not have the money, so we had to pay the fare and penalties for everyone, otherwise the situation would have gotten ugly!

6. We immediately informed the activity provider and also, sent a copy of the receipts to the guide - he mentioned that Guydeez Travel SL had contacted him about it and he had forwarded the receipts to you. He also said that I should be getting the reimbursement sent to me in 2 business days.

You, Guydeez Travel SL, then suddenly stopped communicating with me after learning the facts, in spite of several messages that I sent to you. NOTHING had been heard from you since 27 May’24 to-date!

Guydeez Travel SL is clearly engaging in deceptive practices - exploiting unaware customers with inexperienced, uninformed, unknowledgeable, and possibly helpless foreign students! This is bordering on fraud. No reimbursement for the amounts that we had to pay in penalties has been forthcoming.

Customers need to beware of Guydeez Travel SL and the fact that GetYourGuide doesn’t take accountability for its activity provider is absolutely abysmal!

Francisca, my guide, was open, friendly, informative & it was a very enjoyable tour! I got information that was off the beaten track & it was very interesting!
I have been to Vienna a few times before, so I probably was a challenge for Francisca. However, she asked lots of questions to determine the areas that I hadn’t seen or was not aware of - for example, I loved seeing the oldest Tavern in Vienna. Something only a local would know! And the coffeee in a cone - the most expensive coffee in Vienna! 😊. Interesting info on the churches & The Hapsburgs as well.

Our "Private walking tour of Venice with a local guide" was fantastic. Our guide, Caterina, was wonderful. Caterina was on time and full of energy and information about her lovely city. We felt like we were touring Venice with a close friend. She was very knowledgeable and knew all the best places to take "postcard" quality photos at all the best places. Caterina took us to special places for photos only the locals know. We had a marvelous day and can't wait to go back and have another walk with Caterina.

Booked a tour for 30 ppl and they were unable to source guides and seemed disorganized; Had to cancel and find alternatives.

Horrendous Experience with Guydeez Travel Agency

I am utterly appalled by the abysmal service provided by Guydeez Travel Agency. My recent experience with your agency has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to express my utmost dissatisfaction.

First and foremost, let me address the blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and professionalism displayed by your company. After paying a substantial sum for a walking tour journey, I was shocked to discover that you unilaterally changed our itinerary to a next day. This unilateral decision not only disrupted my travel plans but also displayed a complete lack of respect for your customers' time and preferences.

To compound matters, the very next day, the weather forecast predicted heavy rain, rendering the walking tour practically heavy rain and everything is closed etc. Despite my valid concerns and impending flight schedule, your representatives let us know everything is close and heavy rain. We texted Guydeez.com on whatsapp since you never replied to my messages but you replied your representative for rebooking the tour, displaying a stunning level of unreasonableness and disregard for customer convenience.

Furthermore, attempting to reach your agency for assistance was an exercise in futility. Despite numerous attempts to contact you, I was met with silence and indifference. This level of unresponsiveness is utterly unacceptable and speaks volumes about your company's commitment to customer service.

Adding insult to injury, your refusal to provide a refund for the botched tour only serves to highlight your company's greed and lack of integrity. Denying a refund for a service that was not only unsatisfactory but also misrepresented is reprehensible and unethical.

In conclusion, my experience with Guydeez travel agency has been nothing short of a disaster. Your actions have not only soured my perception of your agency but have also left me significantly out of pocket and deeply frustrated. I implore you to rectify this situation immediately by providing a full refund and reassessing your customer service practices to avoid further distress to unsuspecting travelers.

Rafaela, my wonderful, knowledgeable, and friendly guide showed me around Thessaloniki, Greece. She took me to all the historic sites I wanted to visit. She gave me a local perspective of the city and told me about the best spots to take pictures and see the views. Highly recommend this tour!
