Dishonest company
I ordered size 11 shoes and paid for them. Gwen & Grace sent me size 45, which is 10.5. They were too small. I asked them for a swap. They said I should pay the postage for the shoes I returned. Since it was their mistake, I refused. I never got my money back, I am stuck with a pair of shoes I cannot wear. I will ask my bank for a chargeback. Avoid them at all costs!
Terrible
Terrible - the clothes they send are nothing like what they show online - cheap crap from over seas. Rip off - don't buy from this organization. They are misleading you this is a family locally owned business - it is NOT.
DON’T BUY IT!
DON’T BUY IT!! Absolutely appalling quality with no options of refund. The clothes came in a cheap packaging rolled as tightly as possible. When I opened the pack I was shocked to see the materials used. Shockingly poor quality. Sizes were two sizes smaller. Then came the long saga of getting refund. Four months on and still No refund. Sending emails back and forth with no chance of refund.
Flawed Item and Wouldn't let me return
I ordered several sweaters and a coat. All were very poor quality fabric and sizing was way off. The coat had a decorative flap on each shoulder. One was literally sewed on backwards. I contacted them about returning the coat since it was literally flawed. The response was because it was on sale there is nothing they can do. I understand there are no returns on sale items, which is why I didn't ask about the other items. The fact that it was flawed should have been an exception and if they cared about their customers they would have refunded under those circumstances. They offered a 10% refund because I am a "valuable customer" That is about $3, I didn't bother to reply. Save your money
This company is simply dishonest
This company is simply dishonest. They advertise shoes at heavily discounted prices suggesting they'd been on sale previously at over £200. The shoes that turn up are cheap and incorrectly sized. Ill donate the shoes I bought to charity and someone can get 5minutes use out of them.
Do NOT order anything from Helen and…
Do NOT order anything from Helen and Grace. Scam Scam, and Crap
This business is a Freud
This business is a Freud. Stole my money as they never actually sent the shoes I ordered.
Have sent 2 emails now with zero response.
DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS WITH YOUR MONEY.
This company is quite simply terrible
This company is quite simply terrible. Their shoes are of very poor quality and their sizing is completely wrong - they send automated emails offering to send replacement shoes yet as the buyer you have to pay further postage.
It is virtually impossible to get a refund- ie you have to pay further postage£25-£30 to send the shoes back then they state it will be up to 6 weeks to issue a refund.
This company should not be allowed to trade in uk
I wish I could leave no stars.
I wish I could leave no stars.
I bought a gilet size Men 2XL and at best it would fit a medium lady. No response to my request for a refund. Avoid at all costs.
Not much more to say which hasn't been…
Not much more to say which hasn't been covered in previous reviews, other than I wish I'd read these beforehand and if i could give 0 stars, I would. My experience was identical - this company will do anything and everything to block you from returning a product. A complete scam 'business' - do not under any circumstances part with any money to this company.
Criminal behaviour
Criminal behaviour. You WILL receive the wrong or a very poor quality item.
They WILL NOT refund you.
Scammers Beware
Gwen & Grace have a lovely website - UK company only selling in UK - apart from the fact that this is a massive lie. The great looking products on the website bear no resemblance whatsoever to the product that arrives. What arrives is a nasty made in China garment - different material, different colour, different size, inferior quality.
Then they are the most awkward and unprofessional company when trying to get a refund. They rely on telling you you’ll have to pay for the transportation of the item back to Asia despite that being contrary to UK consumer law for a product that is so different from what was ordered. You end up negotiating for a partial refund.
It’s almost as if this is the business model - i.e. scam customers then make money through refusing to refund appropriately. Avoid this company at all costs.
No product delivered and lots of…
No product delivered and lots of promises. This company is a SCAM and do not use.
These companies should not be allowed to operate.
Avoid at All Costs – Dishonest and Misleading Company!!
I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Gwen & Grace has been appalling from start to finish.
I ordered a specific item and was sent the wrong one. We are all humans and this can happen. But over several long weeks, I now know that this is a full blown scam.
Despite acknowledging their own mistake and even confirming in writing that they would cover all costs for a full refund, the company dragged me through dozens of rounds of emails with contradictory statements, backtracking, and excuses. Over the course of many weeks they tried to reduce their obligations from 20%, then 40% and eventually to a “70% refund, while leaving me stuck with the incorrect product – after already admitting they had to refund in full.
To make matters worse, they pretend to be a British family-run company, but in reality operate from Asia, which is why they don't want to pay the return fee. The low-quality product they sent wasn’t even from their brand and it arrived with a random label stamped “Made in China” in big letters.
I provided clear screenshots of their own admissions and Terms & Conditions, but they still refused to act in good faith. Their customer service apologises endlessly yet offers no real solution, wasting time and hoping customers will give up.
This is not just poor service – it is dishonest and misleading practice. I am now escalating through my payment provider and legal services to recover what is rightfully mine.
If you value your money, time, or peace of mind: do not buy from this company!!!
Dishonest and deceitful.
Do not trust this website or ad, it is a con. I ordered 2 items, one was ill fitting, the other order was sent as a wrong item. After over 40 emails the most I could get was a 70% refund. There refund policy is that any returns be sent at customers own cost to China. Even when the item sent is not what was ordered. It felt like an orchestrated con from the off. Appaling service.
Scam. But raise with your card company for full refund.
They deliberately send poor quality products and when asked for refund, they hide behind the small print asking to be return to china. Absolute scam. Do not buy from them.
Warning - buyers beware
Warning - do not buy from this company. Paid for an item that never arrived. Wrong (poor quality) product sent instead and now told to pay £25 to fix their mistake. Shoppers beware. #ShoppingFail
AVOID at all costs!
Shoes arrived, too small - Gwen and Grace wrote in an email:
We’ve carefully reviewed your request for a refund, and would like to offer you two clear options so you can choose the resolution that feels right for you:
Option 1 – 10% Refund & Keep the Product We can process a 10% refund on your purchase, and you may keep the shoes. This avoids the inconvenience and cost of a return, while also being the most environmentally friendly solution. Many of our customers choose this option as it saves both time and effort, and you are free to gift, donate, or reuse the shoes as you wish.
Option 2 – Full Refund (Return Required) If you would still prefer a full refund, the shoes will need to be returned to our warehouse in Asia. Please note:
The return shipping cost (around £25) would need to be covered by you.
Once received, the shoes will undergo a quality check, which may take up to 2 weeks.
Refunds are processed within 6 weeks after the return has been accepted.
This is a scam
This is a scam. I paid for a pair of shoes, they sent a cheap plastic pair in place. Then apologised, saying they would re send, but I had to pay for shipping again.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
ITS A SCAM.
I HAVE REPORTED THEM. The cheap shoes took five weeks to get to me in a Jiffy bag.
Avoid this Chinese Scam
Do not buy anything from this Chinese scam company. Quality of products horrendous and sizing is way to small. Trying to return anything is near on impossible.
AVOID at all costs
