no problems

Reading other reviews I'm suprised. I've been with Three for 10+ years mobile phones only mind. I've gotten great deals on phones and plans also on year only sim on 4 phones with great deals on each. Never overcharged or problems with D/D in all this time. Customer service is OK, they're helpful.

I'd recommend them

Absolutely disgusted that theses scammers have managed to access my account to set up a DD of £91.14 a month. First payment came out today and I haven’t got a clue what this was for as I never have set up anything like that for such a big amount. Also how the hell how they got my details todo this????

Debt letter from this company

I got a debt letter from this company on December 2022 regarding £434.08 when I NEVER use this company. They also charged me twice early on 2021.
Be aware and check your bank statements every month.
I did a complaint but they answered me back saying the account was not fraudulent opened.
Disgusting

My bank cancelled my Direct Debit

6 years back I was a customer of Three. after my contract finished I moved to a different network and used the same number. However they were still charging me monthly for 4 months without me knowing, I couldn't speak to anyone who could close my account and was afraid to cancel my direct debit. I closed it anyway as raising a complaint with Three. was SO DIFFICULT.

Back in October, Manchester Arndale Three. branch. I decided to give them another go after seeing a sign outside the shop saying £25 for a Samsung tablet with 100gb. I went in to enquire about the sign as I needed one for excel specifically so a shop attendant informed me that this tablet is perfect for work. She handed my a Lenovo tablet and the contract to sign.

The price changed to £20 for 30gb, which is fine. I don't necessarily need 100gb. I go home and the tablet was super slow. It's been designed just to sit in a dock - almost like a Google Echo with a display. I asked for a refund the day after in the shop, they said you can't refund anything bought from the shop. There is no 7 or 14 day return policy, which as a consumer we are eligible for. Not to mention misleading advertisement and mis-selling products to be more than what they are designed for.

I rang on the phone, thankfully the guy was helpful and refunded me as special case. He sent me a prepaid bag to put all my purchased items in to send back to Three. This was back in October. It's December now and yesterday 20/12/22, a DD has popped up charging me £15.16 for the SIM card.

I call again multiple times, 2x people can't see any payments, they can see that the account has been closed. A guy from the billing department has said that apparently this SIM has been purchased in NOVEMBER and that I need to go to the shop to cancel it. Also that there will be an early cancellation fee of £400. I don't have the SIM anymore as I've sent it back in October, they have confirmed to me that the SIM hasn't been inserted and 0 data usage. I asked my bank to cancel my direct debit and praying to the network gods that I won't have bailiffs knocking on my door for late fees and for it to not affect my credit score.

Three. isn't as good as it used to be. Back in the day I used to recommend Three. to all my friends as they had really great deals. Now they're just trying to sign as much people up as possible for 0 service.

Absolutely APPALLING customer service.

Absolutely APPALLING customer service.

Keep waiting for half an hour to answer a simple billing query and eventually cut off. When I called back, I was told they couldn’t hear me! AVOID at all costs!

Fraudulent activity from H3G

I was looking at my direct debits just to see what I had listed and a direct debits for Three (showing as "H3G") were listed. The amount £69.00 was already collected from my account on 28th September.

That's very strange. I never had any account with H3G. What kind of fraudulent activity is that ??

Like many others I have never set up a direct debit with these & don’t know how they’ve set this up on my account. I have had my mobile phone almost 3 years with Tesco O2!! Have cancelled payment & direct debit. How is this company getting away with this!!

the Three direct debit con…

Three con millions every month with their direct debit scam, charge customer to specify date then do not present on that date charging £5 fine for dd return. Every other company presents on date arranged, but three waits 2 weeks, hoping the dd is returned (not funds to cover it) for the fine they impose.

Phoned to sort it. If i cant give phone number details, wasn't interested and wouldn't pass to someone to help. Cancelled through the bank.

Bank Robbers

I took out a sim only contract just to have more data when in Spain way back when the fair usage rules were in force by EE.
Anyway after a while i realised the coverage that i needed was poor so used the 3 app to cancel.
after a month or two I noticed the £23
was still going out of the bank so contacted to complain and accepted being fobbed off as long as they assured me it would be cancelled.
The other day my bank alerted me that this amount was still going out on an unused mobile for over 2 years so I asked to cancel the direct debit.
Apparently after you cancel they ask you if you would like to keep the number for future on any network. Then if not used they carry on taking your money as the cancellation is cancelled automatically if you don’t transfer the number to another company.
