I was scammed out of £3k and still waiting for an outcome of the insolvency case! Has anyone else had any updates at all? Or luck getting any money back? I was refused by Lloyds bank because I paid via a bank transfer because their online card payment option wasn’t working. Absolutely ridiculous to have to wait this long and nothing happening with the investigation! If anyone can help please search my name on social media and get in touch please 🙏🏻
I really feel for people who have lost…
I really feel for people who have lost out with this company - on reflection I was do lucky as eventually managed to get my items and a £3k refund for the missing parts after 10months of waiting and chasing - I had paid £17k+ for the pods ans hot tubs and by bank transfer after their 'card machine' was down! I ordered in Feb 2021 and just can't imagine what I would have felt like if I had ordered and laid in mid 2022 - absolute crooks and hope they get dragged in front of court - likely they are setting up under a new name to do it all again - I bidder take/took no responsibility whatsoever and they need some attention
Crazy - good luck to anyone following up on any stolen money t
James from Haddon was very generous…
James from Haddon was very generous offering some goods to Rotary for local schools that were in need of help also some needed goods for Noah’s Ark children’s hospice. A nice charitable gesture.
Thank You
James turner small the thuef
Why is James turner small not being investigated by the police. The money paid for goods was not his to spend so technically he’s stolen it
James Turner Small and Amanda Turner…
James Turner Small and Amanda Turner Small in St Albans area was the owners and thieves of all our money. They was still taking orders and money the day before they shut it down and stole our money !
Hi I bid on an item since June I paid…
Hi I bid on an item since June I paid for my product that they did not have still there was bidding open for it and I won the bid and paid for it after complaining paid in July said will be delivered in august till now never received and now I heard it is in administration I have to point out the they made me pay vat on even postage packaging vat vat on premium vat vat four times vat on one item
Blame I-bidder!
Got to say when I have bought at auctions from them in the past I have had a very good experience.
Lately they must have gone through some bad Financial Times and lost money from buying stock that never sold.
I would say blame i-bidder who purports to be this holier than though mechanism who bans you from all auctions when you have an issue. Why don’t they monitor their auctioneers and block them from selling? Because they get paid by the auctioneer to use their platform that’s why!
I-bidder should be held equally responsible for the actions of Haddon and James and be made to cough up. Maybe then they would keep a closer eye on the viability of the auctioneers instead of the buyers when you don’t meet their payment deadlines which are often not suitable.
The rats desert the sinking ship
The rats desert the sinking ship. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with these characters under a sales scam they called an auction. When the truth was James Haddon is the Director of Haddon James and the Chelsea Garden Company whose garden furniture stock they were purporting to auction, when actually they don’t hold or own any stock, they just try and source it and buy it when enough mugs “bid” for it.
Haddem and Run tried to get me to pay by bank transfer, saying the credit card facility of the seller (themselves) was down, wonder why, so I stuck to my guns knowing I had S75 protection should they go bust, not surprised,
They failed to deliver firstly telling a pack of lies that the container was stuck in customs waiting scanning, to delay with delivery, etc etc and finally agreed in writing to refund, but in two months time, knowing full well they were dragging as much money in before going bust, despicable people.
I served a letter before action for small claims court action, and went back to my Credit Card bank to start a chargeback, and was paid out within 3 weeks
How do individuals like the Haddons get away with stiffing hard working people with no sanctions, just visit Companies House and see the actions of the directors, interesting stuff but no doubt the Haddons will reappear somewhere.
I very much hope people can go through their credit card companies and get their money back ?

LEAVE WELL ALONE!!!!!
H&D now gone bust!
Well surprise surprise - Haddon and James have gone bust and filed for insolvency. Never saw that coming as they’ve run off with all their customer’s money. Theft should come with a custodial sentence not administration…..
Won item 20th March which never ever…
Won item 20th March which never ever came after months of trying to get a refund sorted out I eventually thought I was getting somewhere after speaking to Lynsey Lawrence who said was going to sort issue only then to be told I would be refunded by the end of October but could not confirm exactly when. I then was passed through to Ian Cox who was then trying to sort issues out and was told by him I would be refunded by the end of September but would keep in touch regarding this. Well last week I emailed to chase things up only to be told Ian Cox no longer works for Haddon and James and now there is no way in contacting them other than there customer assistance link on there website that does not work. STAY CLEAR
I ordered q Spruce BBQ Hut from Haddon…
I ordered q Spruce BBQ Hut from Haddon and James on 06/11/21 and have followed up chasing delivery since then. First they never answer their phone and second when I did finally have an exchange of emails with them they could not give me a delivery date and finally now even their email system is now officially no longer operating and you get a link on their website which asks for your invoice number. Guess what ? Yes you got it the Invoice number is not recognized ! So now I have no alternative but to take out a County Court Judgement against these clowns or alternatively they can send me my £3780 back . My invoice number is B310-00073 . I somehow doubt that I will ever see this money back into my account. Buyer Beware !!
Take the money and don’t supply………
I purchased three items on 5 august,£432.15 total cost.got confirmation of purchase plus pro forma invoice which was paid for straight away ,on my bank statement it show the correct amount but also showed the same amount for i bidder ?…..Haddon James got the payment , the amount for i bidder disappeared from the statement about a week later .Then the next e mail gave me a delivery date of 18 august.this date was spent waiting for the delivery which never arrived, the following day I received an e mail stating the goods are out of stock?…..but on looking on there website they were already advertising further auctions with the same items up for auction.
You cannot contact this company by phone and they don’t reply to e mails Make your own mind about dealing with this company .if I could give no stars I would …invoice number B218-60016
County Court proceedings about to commence
So where are my goods, Haddon & James, which were due to arrive today? I am going to sue you. I am a solicitor and I will sue you as a point of principle unless the money from order number B148-19102 is not with me by 5pm on Friday 26th August. The amount is £378. I'd like to see you trade with a County Court judgement against you

Shocking
Shocking, you order items from haddon and james and they don't have them in stock. They want to make you wait 8-12 weeks holding your money. Keep away from these

It started so well back in June
It started so well back in June, as soon as we paid over £3k it all went wrong.
Awful communication and emails contracting each other. Not sure is Ian, Kelvin or Lyndsey actual work at company.
Basically no garden; furniture arrived as promised, so then offered full credit plus 20% if we bought other auction items. Refused so offered full refund. Then looked into other review sites, linked in, companies house etc and got worried. They offered us a refund in October.
So contacted our bank explained the full facts (as had everything documented on email) and within 2 hours our bank refunded us in full straight onto our debit card. Now Lloyds Bank are dealing wit( H&J) to reclaim their money. Apparently we’re def. Weren’t the first to contact Lloyds Bank and request a chargeback.
Much quicker and free compared to small claims court, trading standards etc,
So basically contact your bank or card provider and ask for a charge back immediately before this company stops trading.
Another point they are still selling the garden items on I bidder and their own website even though they can’t supply any of them. Shame on you.
The last two years have been shocking for everyone but it’s your own fault for the lack of decent communication with your customers - no excuse.
We nearly went to their offices in St.Albans as 9th an hour from us but didn’t need to in the end.
