Fake or expired product

I need to open a serious complaint regarding a product I recently ordered from your company, as I have strong concerns that it may be counterfeit, altered, or expired.

I ordered a 1-liter Davines shampoo. I have been using this shampoo regularly for many years, so I am very familiar with the product.

When the package arrived, I immediately noticed several issues. The shampoo was shipped inside a printer toner box, which I initially did not consider a major problem. However, once I opened the package, I noticed the following:

The security seal on the shampoo bottle had already been opened.

The expiration date and other information on the label appeared to have been deliberately cut out with a knife.

The smell of the shampoo was different from the original product I usually buy.

The texture seemed unusually liquid and bubbly.

To verify this, I compared it with the small amount remaining from my previous bottle of the same Davines shampoo. The color was clearly different — the original product has a noticeably deeper red tone.

I also tested the product with water and confirmed that the scent is completely different from the authentic shampoo.

At this point, I cannot determine whether the product I received is expired, counterfeit, diluted, or a combination of these issues. However, the condition of the bottle and the altered label are extremely concerning.

I paid approximately €60 expecting the usual Davines quality and instead received a product that appears to be a poor imitation.

I therefore request an immediate refund and a clear explanation regarding this matter. I also expect that the product in question will be properly investigated and removed from circulation if it is indeed counterfeit or altered.

For transparency, I have already opened a dispute through Klarna regarding this order.
