Suzanna the patient coordinator was horrible. These goofballs implanted hair everywhere except where it was necessary and where i clearly stated that i wanted it. While still at the clinic, i made a big fuss about it and told them to fix it asap, to which they said „just take finasteride“!! Like i didnt just pay 15k for a transplant exactly to avoid using that horrible drug that messes with hormones… it was money wasted, and im still wearing a hat even 1 year post op. STAY AWAY. Also, its run like a cult, where everyone is sucking up to erdogan the doctor and its very strange overall. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

My experience with Asmed Clinic in Istanbul was excellent from start to finish. From the first contact, I felt supported and reassured. The clinic is modern and welcoming, and the staff is friendly, professional, and well organized.

One of the highlights of my journey was Cihan, the coordinator who followed me from my first email to the clinic all the way through to the end of my stay. He was simply outstanding, always available, extremely clear in his explanations, and very attentive to every single detail, both before and after the procedure. During the four days I spent at the clinic, he was a constant point of reference and made me feel genuinely looked after.

Another great aspect was being able to stay in the clinic itself, which made everything so much easier, especially the checkups before and after the operation. The procedure was completely painless, and everything was explained step by step, which gave me great peace of mind.

I highly recommend Asmed to anyone considering a hair transplant. Truly a top-notch experience!

I recently underwent a hair transplant at ASMED Clinic in Istanbul on December 11th and 12th, 2024, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. A total of 5100 grafts were implanted over two days, and from start to finish, everything was exceptionally professional and well-organized.

From the moment I received all the necessary information from my coordinator, Cihan, everything was seamless. He ensured that I was picked up from the airport on time by a very friendly driver. Upon arriving at the clinic, I was escorted to my room, which was spotless and incredibly comfortable. That same evening, I underwent a heart rhythm and blood test in preparation for the procedure.

The following morning, Cihan picked me up and introduced me to Dr. Koray Erdogan, who welcomed me with his medical team already prepared for my procedure. Dr. Koray mapped out my hairline and explained in detail why he chose the specific design. He also created a thorough plan, including the placement of different types of grafts. Afterward, advanced photos of my head were taken, my scalp was shaved, and a dermatologist examined my skin.

Dr. Koray meticulously reviewed my hairline again, and my donor area was scanned using the KE-BOT system. Being diabetic, I also had a detailed conversation with the anesthesiologist to ensure my medication and condition were managed appropriately. Every aspect of my health and the procedure was explained clearly and carefully, which made me feel reassured and confident.

The first day of the operation lasted about seven hours, and I didn’t feel a single moment of pain. The entire medical team was incredibly attentive, explaining every step along the way. My blood glucose levels were monitored regularly, given my diabetes, which further confirmed that I was in excellent hands. Dr. Koray frequently checked on the progress during the procedure, assessed the grafts, and ensured everything was going as planned. After the operation, I was taken to my room to rest.

The second day followed a similar routine: I was picked up after a light breakfast and taken to the operating room. Once again, the procedure was painless, and everything went smoothly as per the plan. Afterward, Dr. Koray reviewed the results and expressed his satisfaction. Throughout the process, the care was impeccable—there was always someone available to help or address any concerns, and I never felt alone.

On the final day, my hair was washed, and I was given detailed instructions on how to wash it myself. The necessary medications were provided, and all my post-procedure photos were sent to me digitally.

Excellent service. Dr Koray is very caring and really went out of his way to make me comfortable during and post procedure. The patient care coordinator, Cihan, is very professional and continues to provide me with guidance and responds to all my questions in a timely manner. The technology they use is second to none, and the cleanliness of the clinic is akin to a tertiary care hospital. Their nurses are very caring, especially Uzgur, who attended to me at all hours of the night and genuinely cared about my well being. I highly recommend this clinic as in my estimation it is one of the best globally. As they say, you get what you pay for and that is the case here.

From the start, the organization was impeccable, starting with the airport pickup, where every detail was meticulously planned. The entire process was overseen by Ms. Suzanne, who, even now in 2024, continues to follow up with me regularly and is always available to answer any questions.

The service provided was incredible, the best I have ever experienced. Before choosing this clinic, I researched many others, but none matched this level of quality. The clinic's rooms are like luxury hotel suites, offering maximum comfort. From the moment of arrival to departure, I had a chauffeur at my disposal and, if needed, a translator who spoke my language.

The results have been outstanding, with top-notch procedure quality, cleanliness, and professionalism. The maximum professionalism and competence displayed by the entire staff have deeply impressed me. Asmed is a great clinic, if you are considering a hair transplant. I am just giving it 1 star becuase of the patient coordinator Suzanna. If she happens to get in touch with you run away and ask for another coordinator. She is not only arrogant but also not responsive. I am so glad that she was my coordinator which is why i researched further more into some of the best clinics in turkey. Apparently I found Dr. Emrah Cinik and completed my hair transplant from his clinic.

After extensive research to find the right doctor for my hair transplant, I chose Dr. Koray Erdogan at ASMED Surgical Center in Istanbul. My initial point of contact, Suzana, was exceptional throughout the entire process. From our online communication where she requested photos of my hair, to meeting her in person at ASMED weeks later, Suzana's professionalism and care were evident. She, along with the other specialists, demonstrated a genuine interest in my well-being and the success of the procedure.
Suzana's support was continuous, as she regularly checked in and addressed any concerns I had during the experience. The procedure itself was remarkably smooth, with over 5000 grafts completed over two days. Now, 10 days post-procedure, I am amazed by the results which have far exceeded my expectations, providing a natural-looking hairline and a complete transformation in previously bald areas. From the moment I sent my initial message on WhatsApp to Mme Sevinc the patient coordinator of ASMED clinic my experience with was enveloped in the utmost professionalism and attentive care.

Received by the night shift smiling agent i felt completely comfortable and doing the blood test and ECG in the next few minutes sent me a message of a highly efficient clinic. Meeting the next day my coordinator Sevinc and the detailed explanation of all the steps made me more comfortable and much less anxious. then meeting the Professor Dr Erdogan and his team then preparing within 2 hours with a high technical methods for the surgery in one of the best healthcare facilities i have ever seen. the surgery team is acting very smoothly with a lot of empathy professionalism and confidence. They are like angels. They ask very regularly if I feel any pain. The clinic is very clean, the hygienic measures are very respected. Special thanks for the technicians: hair washing, cutting, photography teamd, kitchen and room service . At the end I have to mention that I am impressed by the highly efficient system installed by Dr Koray Erdogan and the selection of the members of his team and the spirit you can feel in the clinic shows a good hearted leader. Well this is for their sister site so I am being helpful in their cause ,when I approached this company they went beyond there normal procedures and accepted me on the principle of my bad experience with another from Hungary who shall not be named.My original teeth implants were poorly done by a very bad surgeon as was the authority to actually do the work . ASMED DENT have gone beyond my expectations of there superb workmanship and communication of every procedure and i cannot fault the Professor and his team for a type of work which is usually much more in detail so i praise them so much that i will never ever forget this wonderful experience.

I recently went to Turkey to get a FUE transplant from Asmed Clinic from all the way in London. This was a really daunting prospect as I travelled alone and didn’t know what to expect.

As soon as I arrived from the airport, I was picked up by my Asmed driver Harun who was really nice. After reaching the clinic (where I was staying for the duration of my procedure) I noticed the quality of facilities and can already tell its leading edge.

With regards to my surgery, it was much less painful than I initially expected, which was down to Asmeds wonderful team of ensuring my safety but also constantly asking if I’m feeling pain and planning accordingly. The surgery was 4200 grafts and was done over two sessions, which shows that they took their time with extractions and planning for the maximum result which is ideal as other clinics tend to do this procedure in a day.

The Ke-bot robotic system was amazing and I was fascinated by the way it calculated my grafts in my donor area and planned for a natural look without overharvesting.

I want to give a special shout out to my coordinator Suzana who made the whole process less terrifying for me and stayed/assured me throughout the surgery and pre/post op. Also, big thanks to the surgical team who were brilliant and of course Dr Koray himself who done my incisions and planning.

I’m glad the research I done worked in my favour, and I hope this review can reach anyone who is doubting to go to Asmed as I was initially, especially being so far away in London. I am 2 weeks post op and my hairline has completely been transformed already but will give another review once my hair has grown post 6 months.

ASMED exceeded my expectations and I am really looking forward to my final results. Before picking ASMED, I had a couple friends that had gone to Turkey at other clinics and their transplants were great, BUT in research those clinics, I think my friends got lucky. There is a lot of hair mills in Turkey that just try to push people through as quick as possible. Both of my friends mentioned how much pain they were in during their surgery and recovery and really prepped me for that experience.

But ASMED was a completely different experience. My coordinator, Sevinc, was excellent and answered all my questions before flying over. When I arrived, the driver picked me up and took me to the clinic where I would be staying. The clinic is set up like a hospital, which I prefer because everything is right there and sterile and clean. My first day there was prep/blood work, photos, drawing the hairline (by Dr. Erdogan), meeting with multiple doctors and technicians to go over the full plan for the next day. Sevinc was with me the whole time in case I need translation or had questions about what was happening. The technology that was used (including a robotic arm that analyzes your hair before and after) really put me at ease that they wouldn't over harvest my donor area and really have this down to a science.

I will be honest that my nerves about the potential pain during the surgery didn't let me sleep much the night before surgery, but before I knew it I was in the surgical room. Dr. Erdogan entered and did my incisions for the front hair line. The other doctor (I forget her name) did all the other incisions. The technicians did all the extractions and implanting (which they are experts at).

Here is the amazing part....I had NO pain. They did numb me with a lidocaine block and gave me a Xanax for the day. They did check in regularly to make sure I was numb and added more lidocaine if I was starting to feel anything. Also again their technology is above anything else I have seen out there. I could see during the extraction how many of each follicle they extracted (1 hair, 2 hair, 3 hair, etc.). During the implant stage, I could watch everything they were doing through a camera and tv screen, It was fascinating to watch! Anyway, after a full day with 4 technicians work on my as a team, I went back to my room (I truly appreciated everything being in the same building so I didn't have a taxi ride right after surgery).

I was given some pain medication to help with any post procedure pain. Dr. Erdogan and his team came in shortly after the surgery to see the results and how I was doing. I did take the pain medication as I again was terrified of the pain my friends' experienced at other clinics. Well, I slept that night, woke up with no pain. I had significant swelling which is completely normal for a few days post surgery, but no pain. I did my first wash with the technician, then they walked me through all the medications, shampoos, and dos/don'ts for the coming days. I took my post surgery photos as well. They gave me a neck pillow, folder with information, all the necessary medications/shampoos, and my before/after surgery photos (via email).

I am now 2 weeks post treatment and while I had swelling, I never had pain to this day. I didn't take any other pain meds other than the surgery night and that is all I needed. The swelling was a bit of a surprise two to three days post surgery, but that quickly went away. I am now waiting for the shedding phase, but I can see what my hairline will look like once the hair grows in fully and I am so thrilled to get to that point.

If you are looking at other clinics, do your research and yes, ASMED is more expensive that other places in Turkey, but you get what you pay for. And it is still significantly cheaper than US/Canada or European clinics. Plus Dr. Erdogan is the President of the World FUE Institute and has developed a lot of the amazing technology I mentioned above. So if you are going to get a transplant, why not get it from the best? ASMED is definitely your clinic!
