Halldis is a fraudulent company, which is already in court in Milan, because they defrauded so many owners besides the tourists, as didn't pay them agreed rental fee. In addition to this they operate illegaly in Serbia as an offshore company washing thei money. So the office in Milan doesn't work. Stay away of Halldis and do not book the aprtaments trough them as they are one criminal organisation.

I booked an appartment for 3 months, from 9 Jun - 9 Aug 2024 in Milan with 250 EUR deposit given before check in. Now it is Feb 2025 and i still haven't received mydeposit. I spoke with their agent called Veljko who promised he will give me update regarding this matter but after countless emails and frustation i still have no news. He said there is a
problem with company merger and they cannot take deposit from their account to give to my account. But they still generate sales and the company is still active. Shame!! because for 250EUR they have lost a reguler client. So stay away from Halldis if you dont want to be cheated after checkout. I write this so that hopefully i will be the last case where they just do not return guest deposit.

Rented an appartment in MIlan with non-working AC, after several days hot water disappeared. Halldis totally ignores the issue for 2 weeks and refuses to take responcibility. Total lack of ownership and care for customers
They charge me by mistake and say that will issue a refund, but two weeks later I haven't received anything. I'm not sure yet whether they are a FRAUD or just terribly unprofessional, but either way it is a disgusting experience.
DO NOT RENT HERE. EXTREMELY UNTRUSTWORTHY. Please be very very very careful dealing with these scumbags. EXTREMELY INCOMPETENT STAFF. They will charge you for things you did not break after your stay and claim you caused the damage. They have no problem LYING, making up false claims and disrespecting those who rent from them. STAY AWAY.
Let's start with the first step inside the apartment, Strong smell of dampness and closeness.
The bathroom was very dirty and the bathtub/shower almost forbidden to use, There was no bag in any of the tubs. The hot water came and went, so one day you had a scalding bath and the other cold. It had minimal towels for 4 people for a 5 night stay. The water from the shower was running with minimal pressure and the drain was blocked. The first day he didn't even have a soap to wash our hands. The water came out of the shower and did not escape from any siphon, so they were permanently flooded.
We had to use some of the smallest towels to wipe because there was no mop. The kitchen....it stinks here too. The coffee maker was very dirty. And here there was no bag in any bin.
All the rooms have plaster ready to fall and the floor the first day we arrived and I walked 10 steps the socks turned black from the dirt! All unacceptable.
We were in a great location in a new appartment with all comforts. In Rome San Lorenzo. All was perfect for me and my family.
I stayed in Milan for a week in the apartment located in Piazzale Segrino in the Isola district.
The Halldis sales representatives followed and supported me in the search for the area and the apartment and they were truly professional. I liked the house very much.
I hope to come back to Milan again and will definitely book with Halldis.
The apartment they represent on Airbnb was a fraudulent listing and a unbelievable PHOTOSHOP. Look folks, you book a place that stipulates it has AC and at check in the host says oh open the windows you know you got screwed. With windows open the mosquitoes and flies had a field day of opportunity. The walls were filthy which sets the pace for your experience. If your traveling from overseas your double screwed as last minute bookings at hotel or other will cost you a fortune. To sum it up they can care less on your experience and focus more on there pasta dinner and champagne as they screw another tourist. Good luck Haddis, and sleep well.
Avoid them at all cost, unprofessional
I book an apartment with them before COVID and had to cancel in 2020. Despite multiple emails requesting for refund, until now 2023 I still have not get it!! Terrible and it really show the competence of the company and management.
Had an amazing experience at Il Quinto Elemento Residence in Ostuni. This historical building is renovated to a very high standard, lobby and the staircase left me literally speechless.
The apartment itself was very spacious and clean, beautiful old architectural style, wood, stone and metal. It was furnished simple furniture, nothing too much or too little, just what one needs for a stay. I also liked bathroom colours.
Alessandra, the residence manager, was very accomodating and helpful!
We rented an apartment with Halldis rentals in Rome for the second time. Once again, from the date of booking till the date of departure, it was a wonderful experience. The apartments were close to all the attractions, safe, clean and very comfortable. All you need for a FABulous stay!

Whenever we travel we only use Halldis apartments. Excellent and smooth booking procedures, huge variety of apartments and destinations to choose from. Prices competitive. Excellent customer service.
A lovely location and fun stay in Rome. The Halldis team were helpful and friendly.

Cons:
- the building's central heating might be partially active in the first cold days of Rome's winter. So I'd check the weather forecast and call the team before booking at the beginning of November for example.
Conclusion:
This will remain my first option for a vacation in Rome, after having spent almost 6 months of business trips in various appartments of Halldis.
