In February 2023 we bought our first collar for $746 and have paid $10-20 a month ever since for the service. Yesterday, our EIGHTH replacement collar stopped working. There is no excuse for selling such a worthless product for such a ridiculous price. I am a disabled veteran and this collar is for my service dog. He has almost spent as much time without a working collar as he has with one. I’ve never experienced such a debacle and I’m submitting this review in hopes of saving others from the same experience.
Update: It’s shameful that Halo responded to this review faster than my direct message on their website. What’s worse is I’ve had three different agents give me three different reference numbers to submit to warranty and guess what… NONE OF THEM WORK! I’ve had two years of warranty returns. So many that the company can’t even find the proper number to initiate a refund. This is a perfect example of what it’s like to deal with this organization every other month. You would think a company selling $750 dog collars with $240 per sear service fees, would have at least a basic level of customer service.
If anyone has any questions or would like more details, I would be happy to provide them to you. Since the company obviously doesn’t care about its customers, we will take care of one another.

The Halo collar is wonderful. I have had my dog’s collar for a year and half and use it at 3 locations. It’s made it possible for us to set boundaries and keep him safe while letting him have large areas to explore. We would not have been able to build physical fences on our land (wooded acreage) and found invisible fences to be costly so this was the perfect solution. The support team is very helpful with set up and answering any questions you might have with training. Would recommend to anyone!

I am now on my 4th collar in 6 months. $550 for the collar plus $10 a month subscription. Thing has been broken more than it has been working. I feel bad for their customer service team as they are kind and try to help but nobody can tell me why this thing breaks constantly. I wanted to return but am not allowed at this point. If it stayed working, it would be a great device. When it breaks i have no fence at all and takes weeks to get the replacement. I would lie to speak to Cesar.

I love the Idea of this collar. But the slight vibration will not stop a dog from leaving the area. Plus the battery life stinks. There has to be another product that works better than this over priced paper weight.

It is an AMAZEBALLS product.
We recently adopted a sweet, smart, and deaf dog.
He also has questionable eyesight.
We live on 5 acres and we love letting our dogs have the run of the place.

We wanted to keep our sweet new pup safe so we researched possible tools and found the Halo Collar.
It uses GPS and creates a ‘fence’ that can be edited to your property and you can even create a temporary fence if you take your dog places.
It uses gentle pulses that teach your dog the boundaries and has a slight controllable static pulse if there’s an emergency situation.
It’s been absolutely instrumental in helping us teach Buzzy Bear the boundaries of our property and feel safe if he gets to be running around with his big bro, Jimmy Jimmy CoCo Puff.
Anyhoo, just wanted to plug this awesome company and it’s awesome product in case anyone might need it.

I’d give 10 stars if it was available. From the top, I got a notification about a critical reading from my dogs collar with a message that says they were going to replace it. One phone call later and only on hold for maybe two minutes at the most and a new collar heading my way. Kenny was super nice and explained everything well. I didn’t have to find any of my info or argue with some rep. This company is awesome! I have two dogs that use these collars and it is a life changer! I highly recommend this company!!

If I could give you zero stars, I would. I bought a collar 4 yrs ago for my dog, unfortunately I was unable to use it for him. We recently got a new puppy and wanted to use the collar with her. The collar has never been used (brand new in the box). I attempted to activate it and it won’t work. Customer service is a joke and is willing to help for another $200+ dollars. Poor product, poor customer service. Overall very disappointed in all aspects of this company.

We’ve been using the Halo collar for a year. While it has some great features, we’ve encountered a few issues. The fabric near the plastic window (where the brand name is displayed) is fraying, and the logo is nearly detached. We’ve also had to replace the prongs twice.
The collar’s response time—especially in critical moments when using the correction feature—is noticeably slow and not very intuitive. This delay can be frustrating when trying to alert our dog during emergencies, such as when he’s crossed a boundary and needs immediate redirection.
That said, the GPS tracking has been reliable, and we really appreciate the ability to monitor our dog’s location—especially when he ventures beyond the set boundaries. Our favorite feature is how easy it is to take the collar on the go. Being able to set up new boundaries effortlessly while traveling or moving between properties (like during vacations) has been a huge plus.

These are the worst piece of electronics ever assembled and sold in the United States. I have two dogs and purchased a collar for both of them. I just got a notification today that a malfunction has been detected and they are sending a new one. The only problem with that is it has happened 6 times since I bought these useless expensive paperweights. At this point I would love to speak to the CEO of Halo because I am extremely impressed with how he/she has been able to market and sell these useless products. Quite a masterful feat. After the third time they both went bad I called hoping to get a refund but they denied it and I guess they will just keep sending me replacements until my 1 year warranty expires.

We bought our Halo collar with so much excitement since we rent and can't put up a fence and we do a ton of camping. After a bit of trying to train our pup we noticed he could no hear the collar or was very stubborn, and we go very frustrated with the collar and stopped using it. We eventually took him to the vet and it was found out that he was born deaf. We contacted the company and they were very prompt on helping us return the collar due to our situation even though we were over the return time. Everyone was very understanding and amazing to work with. Our pup has been training with a specialized deaf trainer and is doing amazing, we are in love.
