Boiler Replaced FOC when just out of warranty
Hot Water boiler failed after 14months which is poor for a unit that costs this much. I was initially offered a replacement for £119, but other reviews with the same issue, said free replacements were given after speaking to Ahmed. After complaining again, Ahmed called me back to offer their upgraded unit which he said will be more durable. I am now taking this on trust but great customer service by Ahmed.
3 Stars because although it failed just out of warranty, at least Ahmed helped to resolve the situation, and also assured me that the manufacturer has improved the original design to make sure the new boiler will offer better durability. But anyone else suffering the same issue should quote the requirements of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 - for equipment like this to have suitable durability.
Excellent customer care
The team helped me to diagnose the issue but due to the electrical fault we were unable to get it fixed. Although we were out of our warranty period, they have offered me a replacement unit at no cost which is truly appreciable and shows great customer service to support their customers. Thanks for resolving the issue promptly.

Having had a fault with our boiling water tap around the time the warranty expired I was exasperated trying to sort this out. I have to say, once I managed to get hold of actual people in Customer service (just persist), they have all been incredibly helpful and I have now been offered a solution. I’m delighted because I have really missed having my hot water tap working. If you get one just make sure you take note of the maintenance advice online.
I’m absolutely delighted with the tap
Delighted with the Hanstrom 4-in-1 hot water tap (brushed gold). Not only is it aesthetically pleasing and a stylish addition to my kitchen, but the build quality is also outstanding – it feels robust and premium, definitely not cheap or flimsy.
Installation was straightforward and took around 30 minutes. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, but I’d strongly recommend reading through them carefully beforehand. It’s also worth mapping out and labelling the components yourself, as the etched labels can be difficult to read during fitting.
The item arrived very well packaged, and communication from the supplier was excellent throughout – prompt, helpful and professional.
Overall, I’m extremely happy with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone considering a hot water tap. Great experience from start to finish!
Shocking customer service
I was recently asked to fit a new tap and heater for a customer who wanted to upgrade from their existing tap and unit.
Unfortunately when I went to install the new unit, we were missing a few fittings.
I emailed customer services and explained what I needed, however they asked me for a video of the installation first.
I explained that I wasn't on site and the owner was away and so I sent some photos that I had taken the day before of the unit and tap.
This wasn't good enough and I was yet again asked for a video.
After going back and forth for two days and at least 15 emails later, I finally gave up and put it back into the hands of the customer.
Unfortunately the customer didn't have any luck either so we had to order the fittings from elsewhere.
The instructions are also misleading with pipes and fittings numbered incorrectly, which I pointed out to customer services but they just didn't seem to care.
I will not be fitting another one of these units or taps and would strongly advise people to avoid the company at all costs.

Bought a tap 14 months ago and unfortunately recently discovered a fault. Ahmed was quick to rectify the problem for us and has issued a replacement. Great service and company all round.

My warranty was a month out of date spoke to hanstrom and they were very understanding and honoured my warranty and sent me a new unit would recommend this company very strongly they were very helpful and quick to resolve the matter excellent customer service
Boiler breaks!
Really lovely looking tap but hanstromtaps have failed in customer service. They provided inadequate care instructions for the boiler which has resulted in the boiler becoming unusable after 13 months so just outside of warranty. They have admitted fault with regards to not telling customers descaling is required. They are now wanting me to pay £149.99 for a new boiler, truly dissatisfied with this product a kettle would be a lot cheaper and more reliable! 😢

I’m writing this as a very frustrated customer and owner of the Hanstrom 4-in-1 tap. I initially chose this product as a cost-saving alternative to a Quooker tap—something I now deeply regret.
Since installation, the tap has consistently dripped whenever the boiler reheats, indicating a fault from day one. I contacted their customer service, expecting support, but was met with a very poor experience. The team appears to follow scripts without properly listening or offering meaningful solutions. Their responses have been dismissive, unhelpful, and at times completely unprofessional.
Instead of resolving the issue, they sent a "pressure optimiser," which didn’t fix the problem—it simply redirected the leaking from the tap itself to the waste system. Now, every time I use the boiling water function, an equal amount is wasted straight down the drain.
Their latest suggestion? Swapping the filter pipes, as if that would magically fix a clearly faulty unit. It feels like they're stalling, avoiding a proper resolution, and dragging things out to dodge issuing a refund/accepting a return—something that should have been addressed weeks ago.
This whole experience has been stressful, time-consuming, and incredibly disappointing. I strongly urge others not to go down the same route. Spend the extra money and get a Quooker—you’ll save yourself a lot of hassle in the long run.
Boiling water taps are great, but you get what you pay for...
We were initially very happy with the 3 in 1 tap we bought from Hanstrom. The price was reasonable, it looked good and worked well. However, the tap started leaking after a few months and had to be replaced. Admittedly, they did send us a new one. We've now just past the year warranty period and - apparently in line with a lot of other people's experiences - the boiler has packed up and I've had to buy a new one. I bought it from a plumbing wholesaler. Boiling water taps are great - it just feels like it might have been worth paying a bit more for something that would last longer.
Updated review post boiler issues
After using the tap for a year the boiler failed (actual tap fine and looks good). I confess that the original customer response was disappointing (ie the boiler is out of the one year warranty but we can offer you £30 off a new one). I had decided to source another manufacturers tap (partly as there is a requirement to source their filters four times a year in hard water areas - that’s £200pa) but then customer services came through with an offer of a replacement unit without charge so will give it another go. Am appreciative of the goodwill gesture / hoping this one lasts. Suggestion for them to offer a 3 year warranty on all units to demonstrate this will not be an issue for the purchaser.
Leaking after 3 years
We have had a hanstrom 3 in 1 black tap for 3 years and its been fine but recently the boiler unit under the sink started leaking....customer service only solution for us was to buy a new unit for same £500 price so would not recommend this company as they're clearly not manufacturing the best quality here ...that's awful for what is meant to be a completely sealed unit leaks after 3 years - we have maintained it religiously with new filters etc. very unhappy customer.

The company doesn’t get back to you we eventually managed to get a replacement boiler but the same happened just seems poorly made! Now the company won’t answer any of our calls or emails and are just ghosting us even worse we now have a bad leak coming out of the bottom of the boiler unit that’s poured into our cupboards. We have only had the product 6 months!!!!!!!!!!

UPDATE; After speaking with Ahmed from Verana (who we purchased from) he sent me a new system free of charge, next day delivery. It is a slightly different design and much quieter. This replacement however is only guaranteed for 3 months 🤦♀️
Everything crossed that this system lasts longer than 18 months.
